Satoru Kido vs. Songbird

Songbird would still keep her distance as she listened to Kido's story of his early life as a juvenile delinquent and was quite surprised. 6 months to him sound more like 6 years of beatings and torture from the warden. "How horrible." She would quietly say as she inched just a little closer, giving Kido some time to recover. "What made the big change to coming here?"

Kido gave her a long gaze at her question. His expression somehow became colder. The boy didn't expect her to go along with the chatter. He wondered whether she's genuinely curious or just faking her interest.

"It just happened, I guess," he finally spoke with a subtle smile. It wasn't a kind smile or anything since his gaze remained cold.

Kido backed away once again, giving himself enough distance for a sprint. He's not sure if she's going to ask him anymore question so he'd count to five in his head. If she did nothing, then he would dash towards her for a strike.

Kido would speak with a subtle smile since his gaze was still cold in the mention of his past, and it made Songbird shiver a little. But she has to remain focused if she's still going to fight. Seeing Kido starting to dash towards her, Songbird would attempt to slide to the side and give a knee to the gut. If this worked, then she would also try a double hammer to his back to knock him down.

As he charged towards her, Kido noticed the movement on her legs as she slided sideways. When she raised her knee, his reaction was a bit late to spot her attack, but he managed to lower his arm to protect his gut.

"Augh...!" he grunted as Songbird's knee hit his arm, causing him to stagger backwards. She followed by a hammerstrike from both arms and Kido couldn't really dodge this time. He fell to the mat on his knees.

"Hhnngghh...!" Kido gasped in pain as he tried to hold the pain at his back. He would try to crawl a bit before rolling aside near the turnbuckle to get away from his opponent as soon as possible.

Songbird's two moves had worked well against Kido and now the guy was heading over to the turnbuckle to escape any other attacks. Songbird in te meantime would just stretch out her arms and legs a bit to keep herself active and flexible. After a few moments, she would walk over to Kido and say to him, "Come on, boy, face me like a man!" She would pound her knuckles against her palm to show that she's ready to beat him down again.

Kido panted rather heavily as he slowly got up on his feet. He leaned a bit on the turnbuckle before eventually got into his stance. He felt something building inside him, and his body became hotter. The boy shook his head lightly, as if trying to get something out of his mind before staring at Songbird with a rather serious expression, without showing much of his real feelings.

"Don't push it..." he'd say in a rather low voice in the middle of his panting. "D-don't wanna... go back there."

The boy wouldn't move from the corner for the time being, as if he's inviting her to come at him.

Songbird could see that Kido was trying to gain some strength back as he leaned on the turnbuckle. But it feels as though he was hiding something that she probably wouldn't understand. No matter, she had to keep focus and prepare for her next attack. Putting her fists up, she got in her fighting stance and prepared to throw a massive punch aimed at Kido's head.

The boy was still adjusting his breath when he saw as his opponent came at him and threw a heavy punch at his head. He would step forward and duck to try dodging the punch and slide aside to get behind Songbird's back. If it worked, he'd try to strike her side with a roundhouse kick from his right foot.

Songbird was throwing a punch to Kido's head, but suddenly Kido dodged the punch and slid aside to get behind her back. From there, Kido would launch a roundhouse kick to her side. "AUGH!" she cried out as the made her stumble to that hit side onto the ropes and then to the turnbuckle. From there, she would moan as she rubbed her side from the pain.

As Songbird stumbled into the turnbuckle, Kido backed away a bit and took a deep breath before he glared at her for a second. It wasn't the same glare he had on his face when he entered the ring earlier, this one was fiercer. Seeing his opponent still groaned in pain in the corner, Kido would immediately charge at her again, trying to deliver a kick to the stomach followed by a couple of kicks to her left leg with his right foot. If she hadn't got away from the corner, then he would try to deliver a powerful side kick to her stomach.
