@ Alexandra: As I don't expect this boxing league to be a big thing, lets start off with just boxing pics and if there is so many people interested in it that all the pics get used up, then we can think about using standard pics

@zxn666: well, not really much point... There is nothing stopping you from having a boxing match in the wrestling league (in fact Patricks made a character as such for boxing in a wrestling league)... Although I'd hope that every other match doesn't become a boxing match, maybe it should be treated like the sumo panties type matches are treated

@Oathkeeper: This is just a small fetish thing I guess.. similar to death matches in the alternative arena... I thought it might be fun to have boxing pictured character in erotic boxing matches... I myself have only ever had one boxing match and my character was just a punching bag for the duration of it... So I may even find that I don't like it if/when we start.

@Maxykun: *shudder* yeah I personally don't want too much boxing in Friction and sex wars... but some people might be into cyber boxing as well.

Yeah, yeah, I'll write something up for rules sets when I get the chance. I'm gonna guess that most of us don't know very much regarding boxing, so I think I should point out the Wikipedia entry for boxing is nice and long.

I did try to write up something real quick that is now currently in a sticky on the boxing federation forum in the alternate arena... But I didn't put that much effort into it as its just going to be a small side thing to the wrestling forum

I was going to start something on this earlier, too. A boxing league sounds fun, but I'm not sure of the execution.

It really boils down to experience with boxing, and that doesn't give the writers too much leeway.

Wrestling, you can write about more easily because the sport itself involves a slew of genres of strikes, grapples, and anything we've seen on TV.
I don't know. All I'm saying is that since boxing seems a little more one-dimensional, compared to another sport that involves alot more variants of attack, like wrestling, I don't know how we could write fiction on it without seeming a little repetitive.

I took boxing before just because my uncle owned a gym, but I still don't know that much about it.

laced up my gloves for my own char in the league! few more in mind, but so goes the story of my life. and there's always room for amateur hour too, Iffy. might be fun to write a wrestler trying to pick up boxing
