That rascally little scamp!

The "child"s jump startled Garzah, who's eyes widened, looking her up and down like "What's wrong?"

The being looked at her arm and started examining it. Garzah relaxed her arm so the stranger could better look at it, wondering what was she confused about. Did she not know a raspberry noise? That idea alone made Garzah feel sad, because a raspberry on time always made her laugh. Speaking of laughs, Garzah had to fight the urge to laugh, seeing the little one start sniffing her arm and touching it all over, probably trying to figure out the answer of the raspberry source. She felt some ticklish feeling going along her arms, this things skin was really odd. When she started climbing onto her arm, Garzah kept her arm still in the air, just letting her do her investigation while showing off how strong she was without saying it. She had to admit, this little "orc" was really funny.

When she turned to Garzahs face and started prodding at her face, Garzah slightly giggled, snorting, "H-hey, you're ticklish!" Then she started prying at her mouth, trying to knock it open. Garzahs laughing turned to surprise, and decided to just open her mouth and entertain her new comrade. All the being would see are two tusks and 2 rows of sharp teeth and a dark red tongue.

When she was done and had a sad puppy dog eye look...and opened her mouth, causing the raspberry noise to just come out of her mouth like an audio recording. Garzah sat there, staring, before she started fighting giggles. She lost this battle, as she fell back laughing out loud. She clutched her stomach, as she kept laughing, saying "Oh..oh, oh you're- you're so-oh my LOOOORD!" as she broke into further laughter.

The orc child clung to Garzah’s arm with unnatural ability, defying the obvious physiology of something like her being able to hang on her. She seemed to not understand or care about her intruding sniffs and poking inadvertently making the larger woman feel ticklish. When she had reached Garzah’s mouth, even as it was opened, the child tried to open it a bit more as if seeing if she could stick her head inside… which there was no real world that would work. She settled for trying to turn the woman's head in the dim lighting, peering inside with a single curious eye.

When no answer presented themselves she resorted to what generally worked with people things. The big eyes. It seemed to work with Garzah, the large woman seemed to be about to give her something… then she opened her mouth and made the noise. It was a good noise. The big green people-thing seemed to have a strange reaction to it, falling over and writhing in the ground holding her belly.

Crouching down on all fours, she pad around Garzah with a concerned look on her face. She hadn’t meant to cause the green people-thing pain, she wasn’t even sure how the noise had managed to do that. Was it witchcraft? A horrid nasty spell? The orc child reached out and put her delicate hands on Garzah’s shoulder, giving her a little shake.

As Garzah's laughter receded as she felt a small hand touch her shoulder, she looked up at the "orc" and realized she had the face of concern. Garzah blinked as she slowly pushed herself up into a sitting position and looked at the little one. Her face turned into one of curiosity as she asked, "Wh...whats the matter? You seem concerned." She stroked her own chin before asking, "Do you....not know what laughing is?" She tilted her head, a sad look growing on her face.

"For real? Ah, if you were worried, don't worry!" Garzah flashed a toothy smile and a thumbs up, "I'm fine, was just...having a laugh."She then looked at the "orc", as she looked at her in curiosity. An idea came to her quickly and silently.

If the "orc" allowed it, Garzah would reach her hand out start stroking and scratching the "orc"'s hair.

Laughing? She knew the noises. Normally the noises seemed good but she had never seen someone roll along the ground while making them. Small people-things had made them before when splish-splashing. A red-faced one had done it when another people-thing asked it questions. Laughing was strange. The small orc nodded to the question about being concerned, expressing she seemed to understand the common tongue if that was something possibly in doubt. When The green people-thing looked at her in that funny way, she tilted her head.

Those amber eyes of hers watched the outstretched hand, not stopping jt as it plopped down on her head. She dropped from her knees to her backside to sit in the glass as she was pet and stritched by the big orc. At first, she made a face at her hair being mussed up, but she would lean into the attention, seemingly enjoying it. She placed her hands in her lap, smiling at the small affectionate treatment.

“What to call you?” When she spoke, it wasn't a mimicry anymore, it was something entirely different. A young feminine voice. She still spoke in what sounded like a broken version of the common tongue on Gaia. “Big fingers? Wide mouth? Sharp tusk?” She stared up at Garzah, expecting one of these names to be the correct one.

Her hair was rather soft, but Garzah felt that odd skin texture on her through the hair. The "orc"s skin in general had this odd feeling to it that she couldn't quite describe. It wasn't quite like any she had seen or felt before. The skin felt both smooth, yet very textured, like there were many many small bumps, creases, and other things all over it at the same time. Her fingers glided smoothly over it even when it felt like it shouldn't.

The hair itself was another mystery. It felt like hair, but...something wasn't quite right. Strange bumps and edges, like something she felt on the dreadlocks of reptilians, was there, but it was smoothed out and strange long streaks she could feel along the follicles. It was hard to be precise, it wasn't quite enough to describe, it was something that had to be felt. Garzah then took her hand off the head of the "orc", before pointing at herself to answer the question given to her.

When the "orc" spoke again, Garzah shook on hearing her voice. That wasn't a mimicry, so she guessed this must be a real voice? It was certainly not like any mimic she has read about.

"I, am Garzah!" she said, with a big smile on her face, then tapped the parts of her face that the "orc" highlighted, "I am an orc!" Then she pointed at the "orc" in front of her and said, "What do I call you?"

“It is known as Faye. Gar-Zah Orc can call it Faye.”She stared up at Garzah with a narrowed eye, looking as if trying to decide if that was actually the orc's name and not one of the many she had assumed it was. What even was a Gar-Zah? Maybe a noise-making thing, like the sound skins. She would get to the bottom of this mystery for certain.

“Gar-Zah Orc friend, yes?” Faye tilted her head at an odd ninety-degree angle, defying the normal restraints placed on a person’s neck. She looked antsy while she was still as if she could burst forth at any moment. “It saw you talk to flowers. There was no stomping or pulling, only old songs and words.”

Garzah thought that it was kinda odd hearing the "orc", or Faye, talk in her own unique voice. But she could certainly get used to it.

Nonetheless, Garzah rubbed her chin, saying, "Ah, Faye....that's a nice name." as a smile crept on her face. She wanted to correct Faye that her name was just Garzah and not Garzah Orc, but she decided to just roll with it for now. Seeing Faye tilt her head at such an unnatural angle didn't unnerve her much, she had seen waaay worse at SRW, though it made her more and more curious what else Faye could do.

She noticed the girl's antsy look, wondering what was bothering her, before answering her question. "Friend? Well, if you wanna be friends...sure! I wouldn't mind." she said as she scratched her head, then answering about flowers, "The flowers, uhh, yeah? What about them? They were pretty flowers, are you saying why didn't I stomp on them? Well... that would just be mean of me for the little things. Did you grow them?" A curious look came on her face. "Do you grow plants out here?"

“Flowers grow themselves.” Faye stated plainly with a giggle of her own. To her, it seemed like a very silly question. She knew to be patient, people-things were not all as smart as she was with all the wisdom of all the things she had. She went on, in regards to the flowers. “Many people-things step all over the flower or rip the flower from Gaia to wear like trophy.” Faye reached up to some of the odd knick-knacks threaded from her neck to hang like jewelry. Most of it looked like trash. A dirty keychain plush, a tiger eye marble mounted in bent wire, a small plastic box hanging from a drawstring. Things collected from the edges of civilization, none of them something that belonged in nature.

“Gar-Zah Orc has the old songs…” Faye leaned in, tapping the larger orc’s chest directly over where her heart was. When she plopped back to her sitting position her hair suddenly ignited into a vibrant hue of colors, blues, and pinks primarily but there were traces of reds, yellows, and purple too. It was shorter now, curled out to the sides, the way she normally wore it only now in her masquerade form of an orc. “It heard the words. They change with time, but the song is always the same.”

Garzah blinked, then chuckled, realizing Faye's little mirth talk was rather accurate. But when she started talking about the flowers and what happened to them by people, her face took a sympathetic look. Hearing Faye talk about trophies made Garzah hope Faye wasn't psychic least she sees her old memories of making flower chains during childhood. Faye reaching to the trash necklace caused Garzah to look down at it in surprise. She hadn't realized she was wearing that, she had been more caught by the raggedy attire and strange eyes of Faye.

Hearing Faye mention "old songs" perked Garzah's attention. Then Faye's hair started changing colors, which caused Garzah's mouth to lightly hang open in awe. It was like watching a canvas manifest and be painted in real time. It looked surreal, seeing that almost rainbow of hair colors on the diminutive not-Garzah sitting in front of her, like a shoddily made doll that was inaccurate to the real Garzah. The hair was shorter, too, so Garzah guessed this was probably Faye's real hair. She then brought up the song again, and how it was always the same. Was she talking about....?

"The poem?" Garzah asked, scratching her chin, "Adierea Soarelui? The old poem? Have you...heard it before?" Garzah looked down to the grass, her teeth showing as she seemed deep in thought. "That poem's like, a really old poem from my homeland....huh..." she wondered...had someone from Gorgoth been around here too? Perhaps.

"Its a poem I just, sing to myself sometimes when I'm alone. I just like the sound of it...its very nice."

Faye cocked her head. Poems? Adierea Soarelui? There was no recognition in her face at their mention, only the curious not-orc blinking unevenly back at Garzah. It could have been a coincidence she had known the tune was ancient, though an unlikely one. Explaining how she knew it didn't seem to interest her in the slightest, mostly because she knew the reasons so saying them again seemed pointless in her mind. At the mention of homelands, though she visibly perked, her curiosity rekindled with news of something new.

“Where do Gar-Zah Orcs come from? This one is built like rock, rough but smooth. In contrast, it finds charm.” Faye hopscooted on her backside a bit closer. “Is there mountains so tall? Crags most deep? How flows the water? Does the sun beat down with much warmth?” She continued to ask assuming questions, already having a picture in her mind of the sort of place that would house such a person as Garzah.
