Kaoru Yoshida vs. Spider Kikuchi - A Bad Start

Spider cursed behind her guard, not liking the way this was shaking out so far at all. This little rookie might have been a strange to the wrestling ring, but combat - real combat - was clearly nothing new to her. Putting up far more of a fight than she expected. Or wanted.

Spider had thought her guard would be enough to buy her a few seconds, but she turned out to be wrong - painfully so. With a single, simple arm-drag, she was sent flipping through the air, only to come crashing down hard on her back. Open. Vulnerable. Hurting.

Instinct took over from there, thankfully. Knowing she needed a short reprieve, Spider rolled away only a couple of seconds after she landed, attempting to come out under the ropes and make her way outside of the ring. Not a permanent solution, no, but it would buy her more than enough to recoup and recover from the damage Kaoru had inflicted early on.

Kaoru threw her opponent hard onto the ring floor right at her feet. She drew her fist back and narrowly missed driving her fist into the Spider's head. The shock of the downward momentum shook the springs underneath the mat. She exhaled through her nostrils, turning her head to see Spider roll out of the ring.

She rose to her feet and shook out her hand before squeezing it back into her fist. Kaoru inhaled deeply and exhaled slowly. If this had been a real fight and the ring floor wasn't padded with springs, it would have been over. It also annoyed her that her opponent was so slippery but she had to accept it.

"Fight me or surrender, I don't care which. Kaoru said with a hint of annoyance in her voice.

Kaoru waved her hand gesturing for Spider to step back into the ring.

Spider tumbled out of the ring and made it to safety, successful evading the karateka for the moment. She heard her demands and glared back up at her from ringside, but if the woman thought she was foolhardy enough to rush back in, she was sorely mistaken.

No, instead, Spider wisely used her time outside the ring, choosing to stretch things out and give herself the most time possible, even as the referee counted down.

”1!”

Spider reached behind and rubbed her back, getting out some of the kinks.

”2!”

She stood straight now and a ran finger through her lustrous hair, making sure to keep out any tangles. Had to be presentable.

3!”

A quick check of her nails, making sure they were all good, no chips. No, no, still immaculate and pristine. That mani/pedi she had yesterday was worth every penny.

”4!”

The crowd was booing now, but she greeted them with the sweetest smile she could muster, giving them all a frilly wave and blowing out a kiss to a lucky guy in the front row.

”5!”

As the referee reached the halfway point, Spider turned her attention back to Kaoru, seeing if she was still standing there. While she had every intention of getting back into the ring before the final count, she wanted to see if her opponent’s impatience would get the better of her, if she would be foolish enough to come out and try to make her come back inside. Even if she didn’t, Spider had all the time in the world to gather her bearings. It was a win, either way.

It was pretty clear to Kaoru that her opponent was trying to goad her into losing her temper. She thought that she could agitate her into losing control? She was damn right. Kaoru was on the verge of fuming, thus was supposed to be a fight.

What was this? Seriously.

Kaoru stomped her foot in the ring and sat down kneeling. She would close her eyes to meditate but obviously that would just focus on her breathing-did she just blow a kiss at that guy, during a match?

...

Fuck it.

The Karate girl got to her feet and ran towards the edge of the ring. She jumped up, grabbed the top rope and vaulted herself over it. She did a diving roll to breal her fall and used the residual momentum to end up on her feet out of the ring. She came at her opponent swinging with a running punch to the face!

”6!” Oh, they had a sign up for that new movie coming out next week, the new romance film with that guy and that girl. Maybe Spider would go see that…

Spider’s attention was drawn away as the crowd gasped, looking up to see her opponent launching herself from the ring. It seemed like Kaoru had finally let her impatience get the better of her, though she hadn’t expected the karateka to make such a grand exit from the ring. Not that she minded, of course. It just made things easier for her, in the end.

She hit the floor running and came her way, as she stood there like a deer in the headlights, all the way until the moment where a punch was launched at her face. That was the time Spider chose to fall to the side, shoot her legs out, and snag Kaoru’s feet with a drop toe hold, attempting to trip her up and made her fall flat on the floor.

A nasty spill, and it would only get worse from there if Spider had her way.

"1!"

Kaoru flicked her her tongue against the back of her teeth as her fist connected with nothing but air. Spider was proving to be an elusive and crafty opponent.

"Ah!---"

The Karate girl found herself being tripped up and landing flat on her face onto the hard floor. Unlike before, she had time to mentally prepare herself to take Spider's kick. This time she was caught unaware and could mentally prepare herself for the pain.

"Gaaahh!" She growled, her teeth on edge from the pain as she laid om her front.

"2!"

A moment after Kaoru hit the mat, Spider threw up a hand a flourish, relishing in her dominance. ”Ole.” She couldn't resist.

But, as enjoyable as it was to put Kaoru’s haughty self on the mat, she knew it wouldn’t be enough. This woman was tough and versatile, and she had to seize every opportunity she could to turn the match in her favor. The drop toe hold was a good counter, but she needed to deal real damage on top.

But Spider was a clever sort. She could see a way.

Eager to take advantage, she crawled up Kaoru’s body like her namesake, mounting her at the waist. She reached forward, grabbed two handfuls of her foe’s raven hair, and proceeded to slam her skull her into the floor.

”Eat!” Once.

”The!” Twice.

”Dirt!” Thrice.

Kaoru hated being made a fool of and tried to get to her feet but her opponent didn't allow her a chance to recover. She scowled feeling Spider's fingers dig into her raven black hair befire her face was smashed to the floor.

Kaoru grit her teeth, enduring the pain through sheer will but despite her tenacity, it didn't help the dazed state she was after Spider had drove her head into the ground two more times. Each slam, making Kaoru more and more docile. The Karate fighter groaned as she lay helpless on her front. Her teeth gritted and eye open as it looked around in a daze. She desperately needed time to recover.

"Uhhhh..." Kaoru lifted her head only to rest her forehead back onto the ground.

My, oh my, that was infinitely satisfying. Ramming the little brat’s face into the ground, knocking the sense out of here, hearing that delightful sound as her skull hit the floor - all of it, just perfect. She had Kaoru down and at her mercy, with nothing to stop her from doing as she wished.

”4!”

Except that, yes.

Sad as it was, their time on the outside would have to be brief, but even this could work to Spider’s advantage. ”You seem a little tired, so I’ll leave you rest out here.” She gave Kaoru a little pat on the head. ”Don’t take too long, though. Clock’s ticking.”

With a churlish giggle, she dismounting her opponent, popped to her feet, and rolled back into the ring, seizing the high ground as the referee continued her count. This worked for her in two ways - either Kaoru would stay out there and lose via countout, or she’d have to crawl her way inside, leaving herself open to more brutality in the process. A no-lose scenario.

Kaoru groaned as she was left on her face as she heard Spider talk down to her while she lay im her daze. She felt a spike of anger hot in her chest and redden her cheeks. The Karate user forced herself onto her elbows after Spider reentered the ring.

"5!"

"Kuso!" She cursed under her breath as she rose to her feet, still shaky after the multiple slams to the head. The ground wobbling underneath her as she would try to stumble towards the ring. Kaoru would try to slide under the bottom rope. Her inexpierence didn't allow her to excercise care while entering back in the ring. She full on assumed her foe would just let her re-enter the ring. After all, fighting with respect was something she had grown accustomed to.
