Needless to say, Masuyo’s attitude had improved immensely since the bell had rung. It may have been a loss, but it was good loss. It may have been on her debut, but it was a great debut. The Entropy champion and the audience alike had acknowledged her strength. From all of this, she, along with the rest of the federation, was getting a feel for just how formidable this headstrong young woman was.

After rattling off her little spiel and letting the victorious blonde have a laugh at her expense, Masuyo turned her head slightly towards the ceiling. For a moment, she just stared, canceling out the rest of the noise around her. The bright lights shining down on her with one line of ropes just barely visible in the corner of her eye. Inwardly, she promised herself not to get used to this feeling, or how the lights looked from the canvas. She’d do her from now best to remain standing when the bell rang and the audience cheered.

Her smile couldn’t get any wider, even as her face was pressed into the canvas. The only thing that snapped her out of her gleeful trance was seeing Valley offer a hand towards her. Reaching out to her, she grabbed the champion’s hand and let Valley help her to her feet. Her legs felt like jelly. They were wobbling like it too. Despite her best efforts to stand, she had lean against her adversary for a couple moments before standing on her own.

“Thank you. Now, I didn’t come to AFW for popularity or anything, but I’ve got to admit…” She took a look around, at the flashing lights and the jubilant sea of pumped fists and waving hands. Her smile unyielding. “...this feels nice. Let’s enjoy it a little.”

Looking at her before letting out a slightly embarrassed chuckle, Masuyo would grab Valley’s closest wrist and raising her hand for the audience. They stood in the center, taking in the almost overwhelming amount of cheers. Surely, Valley was already used to this sort of thing. Masuyo, however, was intent on basking in this glory for a while, feeling as unstoppable as the day she left home.
