Morrigan vs. Valley Doll - The Show Must Go On B80cwj
Valley Doll

Match Type: Standard
Victory Conditions: Pinfall, Submission, or KO

* * *

Valley's 'new' music started up and the crowd started booing before she even came out. Though it wasn't nearly as bad as last time. Not nearly, and that just made it worse.

Part of that had to do with her not fighting Japan's favorite daughter, Akashi. She'd expected to be the heel in that match, accepted that they'd be against her even if she won. No big deal, sometimes the crowd just isn't on your side. Not every game can be a home game. Fine.

But now she was just having a regular match, no buildup, nothing to draw the audience in.  Valley came out in her usual no-frills leotard and let her moves do the talking, strutting down the ramp in her 'new' dance routine. Skipping, shaking, sliding around, going wild as usual, but event through all that she could still notice something she always hated seeing - empty seats. Far too many of them. Oh, sure, about two-thirds of the audience was planted and willing to get what they paid for, but more than a few of them were retreating for bathroom breaks or a quick run at concession stands. Just a little while ago, she was an act in Summer Splash, now she was struggling to keep the seats warm.

"Oh, come on..."

Valley kept her smile up even as she made her way into the ring, but inside she was hating it. Back in the Slamazon days, she had to make every match her best, win or lose. When fans left those matches, they never came back. Every ticket was precious. A month of bad matches could ruin the entire show. Ultimately, that was exactly what happened.

She was a competitor, but she was also a performer. Valley could take the audience not liking her, but not wanting to see her at all? That was unacceptable. So when she slid into the ring and made her way to the middle as the music faded, she made a silent vow - win, lose, draw, this wasn't going to be like last time. Valley Doll was going to give them a show. They might boo, they might cheer, but either way, they'd be watching.

She just hoped her opponent would be up to it. 'Morrigan' - that named sound a little familiar, but she couldn't place it, and she hadn't had the time to look it up much since this match had been quickly thrown together. No problem - surprises kept her sharp.

Tatyina wrote:Morrigan had wanted to get back in wrestlign since Summer Splash. She had been so used to running around with her box cutter and taser that she was starting to think she had lost a step in the ring. Of the trio of girls that had called themselves Lukretia's maids, Morrigan was the toughest. She might not have been as technical as Macha but she had more determination and more of a desire to win. She certainly wasn't a robot like the black haired maid.

However, what had set her off was when her lover and partner in crime turned girlfriend, Brittany Luvve, had been ambushed at Summer Splash. Some white haired bitch and her cow of a friend had mugged her after the match. Morrigan hadn't been there but if she had, it was tougher when the odds were even or worse. Plus, the few run ins with Annelle DeSade had also made her decide that she needed to strap on the boots and fight more fairly.

Taylor certainly had nothing to do with it. Her boss, one of them anyway, was such a goody two-shoes. It made Morrigan sick. Part of her just wanted to mug whoever was stupid enough to come out into the ring but she had to try.

When her  music began to play, Morrigan walked down the ramp with a cold look on her face. The audience certainly wasn't a fan of her either but the boos just seemed to continue. At least with Morrigan, they might get to see something sadistic.

Morrigan was dressed with her high boots, skirt and zip up jacket. She slid into the ring and looked over at Valley, grinning. Dammit. This old hag was just begging to be tortured. She bit her lip and took off her glasses, handing them to the ref before walking back to her corner and bouncing in place. She stretched and then turned to face Valley.

"This is going to be tough for me, I just know it." She said with her thick Irish accent.
acuya wrote:Damn it, Valley had seen this girl before, but she couldn't put a single finger on it. Something at the Friction World Cup. She was in a match with Kelly Conway, but Valley had only been paying half-attention to it on the TV while she tidied up around her apartment. Not enough to remember her style or anything that would help.

She huffed, puffed, and shook it off when the woman turned her way, letting all the idle thoughts go. Focus. She needed complete focus for this. No sense dwelling on a memory she could scarcely recall.

"And I'd say you're right. Not holding back." She did a few tricep stretches in the middle of the ring, then drop down and got into her ready position - one foot forward, one foot back, both arms up for defense. She bounced on her toes, matching the girl's own rhythm. "Valley Doll, nice meeting you. What's your name, red?"
Tatyina wrote:Morrigan continued to smile. "That isn't exactly what I meant." She added cryptically. Morrigan held a rather casual stance as she waited for the bell. There WAS something a bit familiar about this girl but she couldn't place it either.

"My name's Morrigan." She said, nodding. "I usually don't care to meet fried pigs ears with wigs on but who knows, maybe you'll grow on me. Seems to be happening lately." She said and laughed.

Once the bell rang, Morrigan hopped and began to circle. She thought about what she might do. Maybe she should just kick this girl between the legs and fuck her up? That wouldn't work at all. Still, just because she was trying to avoid a DQ didn't mean she had to completely cut out ALL forms of gamesmanship. She threw her arms up like she wanted to initiate a lock up but as she closed in, she also swung out her boot to try and kick Valley in the stomach if she was going to take the lock up.
acuya wrote:Ah. An AWF girl with too much attitude and snippy remarks. That was original.

Valley blew some hairs out of her face and shrugged Morrigan's comment off, whatever it was supposed to mean. She'd never even seen fried pigs ears, but she guessed it was supposed to be a dig at her hair and skin. Even if it was, it was going in one ear and out the other. She'd been taking crap like that since high school. "I'm an acquired taste." Her bouncing intensified as the bell rang, and she started to move in and strafe around Morrigan, keeping her eyes steady and focused. "Let's see how you take it."

Valley saw the arms go up and reflex kicked in, stepping right into Morrigan's boot and taking it hard in the gut. Lock-ups fakes, she always fell for that crap.

She doubled over and let out a sharp gasp, backing away towards the corner.
Tatyina wrote:Once her boot buried itself in Valley's stomach, Morrigan leaped at Valley doll. She had to keep her from squirreling away now that she had the advantage. She lunged for the platinum locks and if she could capture them would leap off her feet and try and drive Valley tot eh ground face first.
acuya wrote:Valley would give Morrigan credit for one thing, right off the bat - when the girl got an advantage, she knew how to drive the wedge in.

She let out a hard grunt as her hair was grabbed, much earlier than usual in a match, definitely not a good sign. She started to pull away, but Morrigan's grasp was steely and strong, and Valley's face was flattened by a face plant in the next moment.

As much as it hurt, as much as her face felt like it was on fire, Valley knew she had to move - somehow, she got the strong feeling that this was not the girl she wanted to spend much time on the floor with. Gritting her teeth, she tried to push up and roll away to the ropes, hoping to get some space and get back on her feet.
Tatyina wrote:Morrigan bounced on her butt and hopped to a squatting position as she slammed valley. She looked as Valley tried to create separation. With her back turned, Morrigan could pull out old faithful, carve her up and put the fear of the goddesses in her.

Oh, the good 'ol days.

Morrigan sighed and ran at Valley. While the blonde tried to use the ropes to pull herself to a stand, Morrigan launched herself at valley and tried to dropkick her in the chest, through the ropes and out of the ring.
acuya wrote:Valley had started matches off worse than this, she was reasonably sure. She just couldn't remember any off hand, that was all.

The Akashi match had even started off better than this, and even though Valley's head was too rocked to give the audience much mind, she knew they weren't giving this match much attention so far. As near as she could tell, they were too busy deciding which girl they liked less.

Valley started to pull herself up, looking for a chance to rally back, when Morrigan hit her with one of her own specialties - the drop kick. It hit right in Valley's chest and sent her cartwheeling out of the ring, and the only saving grace was that she managed to grab the top rope as she fell, making her nasty fall a bit less nasty. She plopped down and fell to her knees, propping herself up with one arm and massaging her chest with the other. She kept her eyes up, though, looking at Morrigan through the golden hairs about her face.
Tatyina wrote:Morrigan bounced off of her butt again when she hit with the dropkick and rolled out of the ring. She was feeling good, doing good, looking good. She just needed to keep up the pace and while she had Valley outside, she could start doing things she enjoyed.

Once she was out of the ring, she would aim a kick at Valley to try and keep her stunned long enough to grab hold of those platinum locks once more.
acuya wrote:Getting manhandled by Akashi was one thing. Akashi was an experienced wrestler. Akashi had held multiple titles. Akashi ate more than Valley weighed on a weekly basis. She didn't like losing to her, but she could accept it. It was like losing to the Yankees. It happens.

But this was different. Morrigan was no Akashi, and Valley could do better. She would do better. Starting now.

She took the kick in the stomach and it drove the wind out of her, but as Morrigan grabbed her hair - for the second time in as many minutes  - Valley aimed to get in some of her own offense as she was raised. She brought her foot up and tried to give Morrigan a hard stomp right on the toes. Hardly a move of legend, but she had to start somewhere.
Tatyina wrote:Morrigan grinned as she had Valley Doll reeling. The kick did its job and soon her fingers were back in that platinum hair. Morrigan was eager to tug Valley around even more. She still had plenty of time before SHE had to get back in the ring, after all.

However, as she was about to yank, she felt Valley jam her boot into her toes. Morrigan yelped in surprise and hopped away. "What the hell?" She barked, more out of confusion than pain. She certainly wasn't expecting something like that from this girl.
acuya wrote:Morrigan seemed surprised by the stomp. Good. Life was full of surprises, and Valley planned to deal out quite a few more before this night was through. The foot stomp wasn't exactly her usual style, a little more on the dirty side,  but if it worked, it worked.

If she were in better shape, she might go for something fancy - a fake kick of some kind, maybe a drop kick, a wheelhouse. Showstopping kicks. Flashy stuff. Crowd pleasures. And she might get to those, eventually, but for now she was going to stick to the basics and focus on catching up to Morrigan's early lead. She popped up and brought her leg up as her golden hair flew back, trying to tag the redhead with a quick snap kick to the stomach.
Tatyina wrote:Morrigan couldn't believe this bitch actually stepped on her foot! The audacity was enough for her to think about pulling out old reliable but before the thought could even formulate in her head, she was kicked in the stomach. That had a bit more oomph to it and Morrigan stumbled back into the chrome steps holding her stomach.

"Guh!"
acuya wrote:Morrigan was a few feet away from Valley, now. Straight ahead of her. Perfect distance, with the stairs behind her to limit movement. The referee was just making it to three on the count, there was still plenty of time, but Valley didn't intend to push it - she would have better odds in the ring, and that's where she planned to drive the fight back into. After she'd worn Morrigan down a little, anyway. Wouldn't take too long.

God, this girl looked so familiar. The thought was genuinely starting to bug Valley.

Valley brought her leg down from the snap kick and barely let it touch the ground before she brought it back up again. She followed up the moment Morrigan hit the steps, taking a quick step forward to close the gap and coming at her with a classic heel kick to the chest. With any luck, she'd get knocked right into the steps for some bonus pain. "Hard enough?"
Tatyina wrote:"Guaah!"

Morrigan grunted as the follow up kick pinned her between the forceful kick and the chrome steps, doubling over after sending a jolt into her back. The red head scowled at Valley and huffed as she tried to grab at the foot and hold onto it.
acuya wrote:Valley was fully prepared to just grab Morrigan by her fiery mane and haul her back into the ring. Take it back inside and  keep it professional, that was the plan. But the feisty lass had a wee bit more gumption than she accounted for. She had the fortitude and reflexes to grab hold of the foot before she could even pull away.

Nice. Valley might have taken some time to be impressed, too, but at the moment she wasn't thinking about that. Or anything. She didn't need to think, not with this. She'd competed in plenty of matches and had her foot grabbed more times than she cared to count, to the point where her response was purely automatic.

The second after Morrigan grabbed her foot, Valley brought the other one up and tried to tag her with an enziguri, a dead shot to the side of her skull.
Tatyina wrote:Morrigan wasn't looking for anything fancy. She just wanted to hold the foot long enough to shove Valley off balance. Unfortunately, she didn't even have THAT much time. The other foot slapped against her cheek and knocked her back down to the mat on her hands and knees. She was clutching her face and slowly tried to crawl away from Valley.
acuya wrote:Now, this was more like it. Valley almost wanted to thank Morrigan for giving her the opportunity to land that one. Doing it gave her a rush of nostalgia, brought her back to the days of smaller crowds and poorly lit gymnasiums. She couldn't be sure through the roar of the crowd and the sound of her boot slapping against the redhead's skull, but she even thought she heard a few claps.

Valley landed on her back, quickly rolled up to her feet, and started moving in behind Morrigan. "All right, back inside."She reached down and tried to grab her by the arm, yank her up and roll her back in under the bottom rope. As good as she was doing out here, the referee was about to hit the six count. Valley had never ended a match with a count-out and she wasn't about to start.
Tatyina wrote:Morrigan was easily rolled back into the ring by Valley, groaning as she held her head and continued to try and create some separation between her and the blonde. It was pretty embarrassing to get hit with such an obvious move but she had to shake it off and keep fighting. She couldn't let one kick to the head put her down. Never. She also couldn't let one kick to the head make her bring out her trusty associate.

Morrigan got to the middle of the ring and slowly began to try and get back up to her feet.

While Morrigan rolled away, Valley pulled herself up to the apron and waited on the outside of the ring, grinning like a cat with a mouse clutched tight in her claws. She gripped the top rope tight with both hands, giving it a few light tugs while she focused on Morrigan and tried to gauge just how winded she was. Valley was feeling risky and dangerous, her toes curled tight with anticipation. Taking to the air was especially risky this early on, but then again, she didn't become the high-flying sort of wrestler because she liked to play it safe, did she?

"That's right, get up, come on..." Valley muttered and bent her knees, starting the takeoff procedures. As soon as Morrigan made it to her feet and started to turn her way, Valley jumped up, did a springboard off the top rope, and flew towards her with wide open legs, trying to catch her with a hurricanrana and fling her around.

Morrigan had gotten up to a standing position just in time to see a California Raisin with a bad dye job lunging at her. "Shit!" She barked as her head was caught and her world turned upside down. She hit the mat hard and was back down on the ground again. This time she was dizzy and Valley was in a good position to capitalize further. She hated it, being taken down by a girl like Valley Doll. Well, she could end the match if she wanted. She wouldn't get the win but maybe she'd feel better.

Valley inhaled when she jumped off the rope and exhaled when the move succeeded, letting a refreshing wind flow through her body to go along with the nostalgia. It had been a little while since she busted out a hurricanrana. Felt good. Felt good to have Morrigan's head between her thighs, too. In fact, it felt so good she was tempted to do it for a longer duration. Most of her strength was in the legs, and Valley had been mulling over the idea working some scissorholds into her toolkit. Now was a good time to give it a try.

She spun around on her knees and scooted towards the fallen Morrigan. Valley reached over, gripped her hair tight, and tried to pull her into a figure-four leg scissors from behind to put some real pressure on the neck. Knock her out or make her tap, she'd be fine with either possibility.

Morrigan felt Valley's legs entangle around her head while she was dazed from the hurricanrana. Before she could pull away, she was being squeezed int he headscissors. She began clawing fiercely at Valey's legs.

"Fuck! I'm not getting choked out by a Fruit Winder!" She growled.

Morrigan bucked her hips and released hands and began to try to elbow walk herself towards the ropes while trying to wriggle her head free.

Valley, like most people, didn't much enjoy having her legs clawed at, and she let Morrigan know about this displeasure by powering down even harder on the scissorhold. A little punishment for the angry red welts that were developing on her thighs.

"Don't know what a Fruit WInder is," She clenched her teeth and pulsed her thighs, grunting with the effort. "But you don't have to get choked out." She gave Morrigan a playful pat on the forehead. The taunting was cute, really. And a complete waste of breath, which made Valley's job easier. "Feel free to tap whenever the mood suits you."

Of course, there was always a third option: the ropes. That's what Morrigan went for, and even though Valley tried to fight it, her two arms were competing against two arms and a pair of legs. The best she could do was slow Morrigan down.

Valley broke the hold as soon as the referee called for the break, wanting to keep things moving as fast as possible. She stood and hauled Morigan up by the shoulder as she went, then tried to twist around and Irish Whip her into the nearest corner.

Morrigan got one boot on the ropes and thee referee called break. When Valley released her, Morrigan flopped down to the mat for a moment to catch her breath before slowly starting to get up, only to be yanked the rest of the way up by Valley Doll.

Morrigan growled as her hand was grabbed and she was sent running. However, the red head reached out and grabbed for Valley's extended wrist. She tried to hold onto it until she felt the tug on Valley's arm. Then she would try and suddenly halt and reverse the whip so that Valley went into the turnbuckle instead.

Morrigan vs. Valley Doll - The Show Must Go On Empty Re: Morrigan vs. Valley Doll - The Show Must Go On

Valley had plans. Good plans. Once Morrigan was in the corner, she'd work her over with a few more kicks, maybe a foot choke to show off her split. Bring her out with a bull dog, flip her over, then go up top and finish her with an aerial move. Maybe a senton bomb. Hadn't done one of those in a while.

Of course, that all required Morrigan to be in the corner, so that plan was shot to hell when Valley found out her opponent had a wee bit more energy left than previously thought. The sudden switch caught her off guard, and Valley found herself getting flung hard into the turnbuckle.

She turned at the last second and her back took the impact, sending ripples of pain down her spine. That would have been bad enough all by itself, but the sheer alacrity of the reversal was throwing her for a loop, and all she could do at the moment was lean back in the corner while her senses cleared.

Morrigan watched as she launched Valley Doll into the turnbuckle with the reverse Irish whip. How satisfying that was. The red head wasn't done, however. She bent her knees and rushed at Valley doll, picking up speed as though she were going to crash right into the platinum blonde. She wasn't though. She lifted off the ground but instead of going upward, she went down and slid baseball style past Valley and out of the ring. While she was exiting, she reached out to hook one of Valley Doll's legs and yank her down tot he mat face first.

Morrigan vs. Valley Doll - The Show Must Go On Empty Re: Morrigan vs. Valley Doll - The Show Must Go On

Post by acuyra Mon Oct 13, 2014 6:00 am

Valley got out of the haze just in time to see Morrigan coming her way hard and fast, hair streaming behind her like a roaring flame. She winced and braced herself, expecting a splash or a drop kick or all sorts of nasty things. Instead, she got...nothing.

Valley opened her eyes for a moment, an instant, only long enough to see that Morrigan was gone and realize how bad a thing that was. The reality of the situation was hammered home when she felt that arm wrap around her leg with serious velocity behind it. Valley's leg was pulled out from under her and gravity did the rest.

She managed to get a hand up and dull some of the impact, but not enough to stop her face from smacking hard on the canvas, not to mention her pancaked breasts and all the lovely pain that brought along with it. Valley groaned and rubbed her face on the mat, then started to push up, hoping she could get to her feet before Morrigan brought her down again.

Still, Valley couldn't lie, that move was pretty slick. She might actually try to see if she could lean that herself when this was over.
