Entropy Championship Title Match: Valley Doll (C) vs. Emily Nelson - Better Angels [FWC]

Emily was gritting her teeth for what felt like the umpteenth time that day as the pain that had been dully throbbing in her back flared up further. Slowly and agonizingly, she rolled onto her side, a voice in the back of her head screaming that she couldn't afford to be left to Valley's mercy like this. Come on, Emily, move...this is no time to take a nap, you daft lass, move it!


The sound of the ref girl hovering nearby spurred her into action-- albeit a slow, lethargic kind of action, which was understandable given Emily's painful introduction to the linoleum floor. Slowly but painfully, she rolled onto her hands and knees. Opposite her, Valley was staggering up as well, and there was...someone...with short pink hair watching from the corner. Emily's dazed mind ran a blank as she tried to think of who the hell that was.

She soon had other things to worry about as Valley pulled her up and clamped her in a side headlock. The Scotswoman winced as her head was compressed, but other than pawing weakly at Valley's arm, did little to resist as she was dragged along. Best to conserve her strength, she knew, and recover as best she could, because she just knew that there was more pain in store for her yet...

There was nothing stopping Valley from going for a pin now, but she knew it would be a waste of time. Emily still had too much fire running through her. She could see it in those brown eyes when she lifted the Wrestle Angel up, hear it in the grunts, feel it in the way her body struggled. She could win this, but she needed to do it in the ring, where her skills were best and she had the most space to work with.

The trick was getting her there, though. It wouldn’t be easy, but she was making good headway as she came out through the gorilla position, pulling Emily along with her. The crowd stood up and leaned forward, roaring to see them back, chanting for them both in a raucous cacophony.

She gave them a quick nod, then it was back to business. She swung about, putting Emily’s back toward the ring, then abruptly let go of the hold and gave her a hard push kick to the chest, trying to make her stumble down the ramp. Or roll. Either way, it would work for her.

Emily felt the pressure on her skull build as Valley dragged her around by the headlock, forcing her to breathe through clenched teeth. Her back was still throbbing after that last hit, not to mention her head, and legs, and wherever else Valley had been focusing in this drag-em-out brawl. But despite all this, Emily wasn't even close to being done...and she was sure that the Entropy Champion knew it.

As Valley dragged her back out into the arena, Emily was suddenly spun around to face Valley, just as the blonde lashed out with at her with a kick. Emily's body was sluggish and slow to respond, but all the same, she would try to bring an arm up in time to catch Valley's boot: if she managed that, then she would be able to do little in the way of follow up-- the impact would still unbalance and knock her back, causing her to pull Valley down with her and the two wrestlers to roll and crash down the ramp together in a tangled pile of limbs.

If she failed to catch the blow in time, then Emily would take the blow on the chest, and with a gasp of expelled air, would be sent tumbling backward and rolling halfway down the ramp before finally stopping, lying on her side and breathing hard.

Emily Nelson was a solidly built woman, and while she didn’t outweigh Valley by as much as you might have thought given the size difference, she was still the more solid between them. So, even in the best case, scenario, the push kick wouldn't be the excellence of execution.

But then Emily had to go and make it worse, much worse, than she'd anticipated. She grabbed her foot, and Valley had just enough time to realize what was about to happen and freak out about it. ”Wait-”

There was no waiting. Emily went a-tumbling and took the Slamazon with her, the two of them turning into a ball of pink, white, red and purple as the went.

They finally came to a stop at the bottom, with Valley’s back slamming into the apron at the bottom, because of course it did.

”Oh,” Valley groaned and grabbed the ring’s skirt, using it for a handhold as she tried to stand. ”This is fun.”

She got to her feet, but only stayed there for a moment before she stumbled forward to the steel steps. She was sure Emily had similar problems, but those weren't her concern until she could stand straight.

Emily hadn't been planning on going for a roll like that. If she was honest, she had just reacted blindly by grabbing for Valley's boot. Unfortunately, she had quite underestimated how much force Valley packed in those kicks of hers...or just how precarious her sense of balance was after being slammed like that back in the change room.

The end result was that Emily went crashing backwards onto the ramp...and then accidentally pulled Valley into her, grunting as the American slammed bodily against her. Then the two of them went rolling sideways in a heap, bumping and crashing against the ramp and against each other until they finally both came slamming down into the ring itself.

With a slow, pained exhalation, Emily parted herself from Valley and flopped onto her back. If she was hurting before, then that was nothing compared to now after taking the painful route down the ramp. Clenching her teeth, she took a few seconds to get some feeling back into her limbs, and to let the pain in her back dull a little, before she rolled onto her front again. Slowly but surely, she began to get up, pulling herself up on the edge of the ring and the bottom rope. Around them, the crowd clapped in unison as the two wrestlers both began to get back up.

Okay. Valley could do this. Just a simple matter of getting on her, putting them on solid ground, shaking off the dizziness, then dealing with the relentless Scottish Wrestle Angel gunning for her belt. At least most of those steps were simple enough.

She made her way up just as Emily was doing the same, her opponent every bit as winded as she was. But initiative was hers for the moment, and she intended to do

”Okay, okay-” Desperate, looking for anyway to get a quick advantage on Emily, Valley reached up and grabbed the ropes, using them to pull her way up onto the apron and get some elevation on the taller women. She shot her legs out and tried to wrap them around the Wrestle Angel’s head, looking to capture her in a forward headscissors while she sat there - not the most devastating of moves, but at this point, she was ready to give almost anything a shot.

Grabbing onto the bottom rope, Emily ignored the aches of protest in her back and ribs as she hoisted herself to a standing position. Catching her breath, she brushed her hair back out of her face. After taking the tumbleweed express all the way down the ramp, being able to stand again felt like an accomplishment. Now all she had to to was get back into the ring and--

Emily quickly discovered that Valley was already in the ring, and already back in fighting shape. Emily discovered this just as Valley clamped her legs firmly around her head, putting her head in a skull-crushing scissor. Emily gritted her teeth, mouth-breathng as she reflexively grabbed onto Valley's knees, noting the way the other girl was grabbing onto the bottom ropes for support.

Without a further word, Emily would use her grip on Valley's legs to lift her body up slightly before slamming it down against the ring apron, hoping that this would "persuade" Valley to let her go before the scissor became too debilitating.

”Okay, Emily.”

Squeeze. Squeeze.

”Appreciate the effort, here.”

Squeeze. Squeeze.

”But it’d be really nice if you’d go to sleep, now!”

Valley spoke through gritted teeth as she hung from the ropes, emphasizing every other word with a pulse from her thighs. It was a desperate sort of move, but that didn’t mean it couldn’t work. Valley still had some solid power in her legs, and she’d knocked out women with them before. Never anyone this relentless, but there was a first time for everything.

She jerked left, right, and left again, making Emily time as uncomfortable as possible, and for a second it looked like this might actually work. But that all came crashing down the moment Emily jerked her back, lifted her up, and brought her down hard on the apron.

Valley shrieked as the hardest part of the ring shot into her back, her legs opening up on reflex and freeing Emily. Hissing both in irritation and pain, she started to crawl under the ropes, making her way back inside, hoping she could put some space between her and her resilient foe.

Truth to be told, Emily was once again discovering that Valley had a killer scissors: her breathing was almost completely shut off, and after a few seconds, she saw grey spots forming at the corner of her vision. Never a good sign, the grey spots. Any longer, and she'd be KO'd then and there just outside the ring, standing asleep on her feet as she stood caught in Valley's vice grip. 

Instead, however, she managed to break the hold. She slumped over, gasping for breath, and would have collapsed altogether if she hadn't managed to catch hold of the bottom rope. Barely holding herself up, she sucked in air, weary after that near-knock out.

Valley had almost had her. Almost.

Pulling herself up on the rope, she rolled into the ring after Valley...though at this stage she would be unable to do more than flop to the mat next to her foe, still breathing hard after that near knockout...

While this wasn’t as bad as the Lea match in some respects - less blunt force trauma, no real property damage, no crowd gawking at her from all sides while she  fought between them like a street brawl - it was certainly more of a test of pure endurance, and one Valley wasn’t completely sure she’d win. She wished she could have bravado, believe that she would come through no matter what, but it was hard to hold that belief when Emily was nearby, still showing signs of life.

With a deep sigh, the Slamazon began to push her way up, willed on by the audience. They were clapping now, a faint noise at first, but one that was growing louder and louder. They were willing her back to her feet...willing them both. They could sense this was nearing the finishing line, and the two warrioresseswould have to get there on their feet.

”Come on, Emily.” She grunted and got to one foot, then the other, leaning on the ropes until she was standing up straight. Knowing Emily couldn’t be too far behind, she backed off for a moment and started to get back into her stance, summoning her reserves for one last try at putting down the Wrestle Angel.
