Entropy Championship Title Match: Valley Doll (C) vs. Emily Nelson - Better Angels [FWC]

Valley didn’t need anyone, least of all her opponent, to tell her she needed to keep fighting in any given scenario, but she appreciated Emily vote of confidence all the same. The woman had a knightly way to her, an unspoken warrior code. All the best Wrestle Angels did. It made Valley wonder what life would’ve been like if she’d followed through on the random thoughts she had early in her career, if she’d gone off to Japan and joined the Wrestle Angels. Maybe she and Emily would’ve been good friends. Maybe they still could be.

Whatever they might be tomorrow, though, today they were fierce foes, and Emily had only begun to bring the hurting on Valley. Not giving her more than a few seconds to rest, the Scot had her up on feet and heading towards the exit, going only a few steps before she sent the Slamazon off with another Irish Whip.

This time, Valley released Emily hand and went with it, but that hardly meant she wouldn’t attempt a counter. There were no ropes to bounce off of, but there were still ways to turn things back.

Instead of resisting the throw, Valley went with it, throwing all into the short run. She didn’t slam into the wall with her back, but placed a foot on it, then another, then another, using her momentum to run up it before she gravity could drag her down. At the apex, she pushed off and flipped back, coming down on Emily from above with a Moonsault Press - a move that would suck for her if it hit, but would hopefully suck for Emily even more.

Valley wasn't resisting as Emily dragged her along, her face obscured under the headlock so that only her short white/blonde hair was visible. Emily laid on the pressure as she dragged Valley along, making sure that Valley felt this headlock, before speeding up and releasing-- whipping Valley towards the wall and, hopefully, punishing the champion further.

Which would have worked...except for the part where Valley rebounded off the wall back at her in a moonsault. 

"What the--" was all Emily managed to say before her opponent slammed into her bodily. She hit the ramp hard, pain lancing through her already hurting back-- it took Emily a few seconds to realize the shriek that she heard was hers. Unless anchored down by Valley, Emily would tumble sideways down the ramp a few metres before flopping onto her back, groaning as her leg kicked uselessly at the floor.

As Valley went flying, careening through the air, entrusting her life to the whims of random force, she was under no delusions that this was, in any way, a good idea. It was a bad one. A very bad one. One that could’ve cost her the match, easily, on her own accord. Maybe more than that.

But then, letting Emily beat her hither and yon was hardly a good idea, either. She need something to change things up, and this certainly worked, for better or worse. No guts, no glory.

She hard into Emily, which wasn’t much fun, but the bigger woman did protect her body from hitting the ramp too hard. They both went tumbling, but by the time they reached the bottom, it was clear that Emily had bore the brunt of things. Valley was hurting, but she had enough energy to crawl over the Wrestle Angel’s flopping body and cover her chest, going for the pin.

”1…!”

Emily rolled roughly a third of the way down the ramp before she finally stopped, the rough tumble adding a whole host of lesser aches and pains to the monstrous one she was feeling right now in her back. She wasn't even aware that Valley was tumbling as well, or that the fans right now were exhilarated at this impressive counter by the Slamazon. She was dimly aware of the other girl covering her, though, and a countdown started. She tried willing her body to move, and felt pins and needles in response.

"2...!"


With a groan, Emily twisted to the side, getting a shoulder up. She was under no illusions now, this was going to be one of those matches: win or lose, she was going to be feeling this one for the rest of the week.

Emily kicked out. Of course she did.

It wasn’t all that surprising, really - the counter had gained Valley good ground, but there was still a long way to go. Her mind was happy for the challenge, glad that this unique test was proving her worth and raising the Entropy Title’s stock. Her body, however, would’ve loved for this to have been over. It probably didn’t even want the match to leave the ring.

”That’s the spirit, love.” Valley threw back Emily’s words, along with an accent that was meant to sound Scottish but probably came off Irish. ”Let’s take a trip.”

Valley worked her way back to her feet and grabbed Emily by the arm, pulling her up, too. She gave Angel’s wrist a good wrench, twisting it in the direction it was never meant to go. From there, she started to walk back up the ramp towards the exit, giving Emily good incentive to come with.

Emily let out a gasp as she kicked out, feeling Valley roll off of her. Flopping onto her side, Emily heaved in air, barely able to move after the way her back had been introduced to the long, hard ramp. It was taking her a lot of effort to try to move; above her, she heard Valley repeat her earlier encouragement back to her, with mock Scottish accent and everything. "Oh, hah, hah...bloody...hah..." Emily barely managed to retort.

A second later, her arm was grabbed, and twisted. Sharp pain lanced up to her shoulder, and the Scotswoman hissed in pain as she was yanked up to her feet. Stumbling, she was left doubled over and clutching her shoulder as Valley led her up the ramp, effortlessly stringing her along now. At this point, Emily discovered that she was really beginning to miss the ring and its defined boundaries...

The two of them had security working in overtime, struggling to stay one step ahead of the oncoming gladiatrices as they moved forward, keeping the paying customers and staff away. Valley didn’t make it easy for them, either - she wasn’t wasting a second when it came to pushing this, wanting to keep Emily on her feet as much as possible. No rest, no recovery, just a hard drive to the 1, 2, 3.

She kicked the exit door open the second she as near it, opening the way to Friction's storage area - lots of boxes, crates, all sorts of junk, and staff members who were rushing to grab their valuables and get them away from the approaching match.

She moved in with Emily and released her from the hold, only to give her a new, lower source of pain a moment later - she lashed out with a quick shin kick, targeting the back of the Wrestle Angel’s knee.

The match was quickly moving into unfamiliar territory. Emily had been in fairly brutal matches before, but none that had wound up traversing beyond the arena like this. The principles of the match, obviously, would remain the same, but the fact that it was now in a storage room added an element of chaos that Emily would have to compensate for.

She felt relief on her arm as Valley released her. That relief ended as the shorter girl lashed a kick into the back of her knee. Emily hissed in pain as she was brought down to her knees, bracing herself on hands and knees for a few seconds...

Valley immediately jumped back after the kick landed, expecting some retaliation, but she needn’t have bothered - the strike did its job perfectly, bringing Emily to her knees and leaving her wide open.

If they were in the ring, Valley would’ve known what to do immediately, likely going off the ropes for some high-flying maneuver, a springboard or a slingshot or an Arabian Press if she felt like showing off...more than usual, anyway.

But that was the trouble with these sort of matches, the way they favored wrestlers like Emily more than her. So many of her best moves required her to use the turnbuckle and the ropes to get big air. She could duplicate that with objects around her if she got creative, but that would only take her so far. She likely wouldn’t even be able to do her finishing move.

Still, it was a roadblock she was determined to get over. She made her way to Emily’s side and backed up a few steps, enough to build up some momentum, then dashed forward, closing back in on her foe with quick strides. At the last moment, Valley flipped forward and threw her all into a roll, attempting hammer her back down on Emily’s with a somersault senton.

Emily was down, but not for long. Already, she was pushing off of her palms, moving to get back to her feet, ignoring the dull throb behind her knee where Valley's boot had made its impact. She refused to be stuck in a vulnerable position here in the storage room-- and while she knew that Valley wasn't a dirty fighter, the championship belt was on the line and there were dozes of potential improvised weapons lying around...

As Emily pushed herself to her feet, however, she discovered that Valley needed no weapons other than her own body. The lighter champion cannoned into her side, knocking the wind out of her and toppling the tall Scotswoman over. There was a brief, jarring pain that flared through her skull as it glanced the edge of a metal shelf with a dull clang, and a faint ringing was heard in her ears as she collapsed to her side, briefly stunned...
