Army had been practicing his suplexes, and he'd discovered a good talent for them. Sure, punching was still his favorite go-to, first and foremost, but he couldn't deny that there was a lot of fun to be had in throwing his opponents around. Felina would probably disagree.

She hit with a mighty crash, making far more noise than you'd ever think a body her size would ever be capable of. Army looked over his shoulder to see her laying there, flat on her stomach, trying to cope with the pain. Perfect chance.

He was still hurting from the missed senton, so he couldn't move as fast as he'd like, but he managed to scoot her way and reach over her body. He pushed Felina on her back and laid on her, chest to chest, going for the pin.

The referee dropped to her knees and went straight for the count. "1...!"

Felina had had more than a few brawls, spars or scraps with Army over the years, and admittedly she hadn’t come out on top in all of them. But even after all their encounters, this was the first time he had thrown her through the air like this. Hell, it was even the first suplex she had ever taken in a real match. It was definitely different than taking a haymaker to the jaw, that’s for sure.

Everything about this fight felt entirely new to Felina, even though she’d trained specifically for the wrestling scene before making the jump over to Japan. But that hardly mattered right now. Fact was, she was in trouble and her cousin was looking to take advantage of it.

She was rolled onto her back and felt the big guys weight coming down right on top of her chest to pin her down. The pretty latina was much too winded to try to kick out immediately, and the second count went without a hitch as well. “2...!” the ref shouted as her hand struck the mat. But as much as her back hurt after being thrown with that German Suplex, she refused to let that be the end. She wasn’t going to let herself be shipped off all alone to Tokyo so easily. And most importantly, she damn sure couldn’t give Army any proof to support his claim that coming here had been a mistake for her. So with a loud grunt, she kicked out with her legs and threw a fist up while jerking her body to the side, just pushing her shoulder off the mat in time to prevent the three count.

God, it was amazing how a three-count could feel longer than a ten-count. Army swore, the referee was taking forever to bring those hands down. Maybe it was just some weird mental thing going on in his head. Hardly mattered, either way - all he could get out of Felina was the two-count.

'Oh, come on." Army rolled his eyes and slid of her. He grabbed the nearest rope and pulled himself back up to his feet. "Just making this harder on yourself, you know? Gotta know when to give." He knew that advice would've better off given to a brick wall, but he figured it was worth a shot. In the end, there was only one way to convince a Rodriguez girl to do anything she didn't want to do.

Army reached down and grabbed Felina by the wrist with both hands, hauling her back up to her feet. He took a quick step back for some added momentum, then swung around and tried to send her running off to the turnbuckle. "Off you go!"

He wasn't sure if she'd be able to turn in time to hit it with her back, but it would be a nasty hit, either way.

Relieved she’d managed to keep the match alive, Felina took several breaths to try to catch her breath as Army’s weight slid off of her. And as she heard his “advice,” she scoffed and rolled her eyes. “Screw that...” she retorted, still too out of breath to manage anything more at the moment.

Within moments Army’s strong hands were pulling Felina off the mat and back onto her feet. Still in the process of recovering from that German Suplex she’d taken moments ago, her body put up no resistance, and she was the fired off across the ring toward the corner. Felina managed to will her body to turn at the last moment, sending her back crashing into the turnbuckles.

Thank god for those paddings on the turnbuckles. It still wasn’t a “comfortable” impact by any means, and forced a heavy grunt as her body smacked heavily against them. But she knew as her arms loosely hang over the top ropes on either side of her, she at least took a small amount of comfort in the fact that it could’ve been worse. Then again, it would be much worse if she didn’t get herself out of that corner soon...

Army dropped down to a knee as soon as he sent Felina off with the Irish Whip. There were two reasons for this.

The first was because he wanted to get a little extra oomph into the move, and he accomplished that by throwing his body weight into, forcing her to sail across the ring for a nasty hit.

The second was because he needed to take up position for his next move. Army had every intention of making Felina's painful situation exponentially worse.

"Ready, aim..." Army waited until she was turned around and slumping making the perfect target. There might as well have been a bullseye on that washboard stomach of hers. "Fire!" He broke into a full run and charged towards her at full speed, keeping low and jumping at Felina with a spear at the last second. Full weight. Full power.

Despite the padding on the turnbuckles, Felina felt like the crash into them had winded her almost as much as the suplex she’d been on the receiving end of moments ago. Not quite, but close. In any case, this wasn’t exactly a good spot for her to be in at the moment.

Like a bull preparing to charge a matador, Army was getting ready to come right at her at full speed. And he did just that, taking off in a dead sprint toward the cornered latina, intending to plow right into her.

Felina still hadn’t caught her breath yet, but she did have a hold of the top ropes. And in a move of nothing but pure desperation, she pulled as hard as she could on the one to her left, hoping to pull herself out of harm’s way just at the last second.

This was what the bull had to feel like when the cape moved away and he found himself looking at a sword where he expected a matador to be. Only Army wasn't a bull, Felina wasn't a matador, and instead of a sword, there was just a very unforgiving turnbuckle that was practically waiting to be crashed into.

Army slammed into the pads her first with an impact that made the entire ring quake and quiver, as it sent a hot streak of pain all the way down his spine. He was too dazed to even feel it at first, and he stumbled back and with glazed eyelids. But gravity got the better of him soon enough, and he fell flat on his back with all the grace of a hacked tree.

"Shit..." He grumbled and rolled over to his chest, squinting and rubbing his head all the way. "Oh, come on..."

Felina had just barely managed to avoid what a collision that would’ve no doubt been catastrophic for her. Her cousin, on the other hand, wasn’t nearly as lucky. The big guy went crashing right corner, then stumbled back before collapsing down onto his back.

The pretty brunette was still catching her breath, so immediately capitalizing on Army’s less than favorable position was unfortunately out of the question. But maybe, just maybe, that heavy impact with the turnbuckles had dazed Army enough that Felina would still be able to pin him by the time she made it over there. It was worth a try, anyway.

Panting along the way, she crawled over to Army’s downed body, then pulled him over onto his back and laid herself across his upper chest. She reached out with her hands to grab the arm in front of her and hold it down, while her knee pinned down his other arm and her torso rested so high on Army’s body she was practically on his neck. And once she was in position, the ref knelt by them and slapped the mat to start the count.

“One...!”

Army made a mental note to never do that move again. Or, at least, if he was, he'd have to be 110% sure that his opponent couldn't move before he came rushing towards her.

"God, that sucked." He groaned and ran a hand over his face, trying to keep the raging headache from getting too severe. There was going to be a lump there, he could almost feel it growing. Just like he could feel Felina's solid body laying over his, as the referee moved in for the count. He opened his eyes to see her above him, like she was a queen and he was her thrown to sit on as she pleased.

Yeah. Not happening. "2...!"

He jerked his body up and threw her off with one, powerful convulsion. He was too dazed to follow up, but that would do for now. No way was he losing like that. Never.

For a brief moment Army was still beneath Felina as the pin started. So still in fact that it almost deceived her into believing he might actually be down for the count. But that thought was thrown out the window as Army abruptly jerked up and tossed Felina right off of him, the display of strength right in the nick of time earning the big guy a pretty decent reaction from the crowd.

“Dammit!” she cursed as she fell a foot or two away from him. She wasn’t so frustrated at the fact that he’d kicked out of the pin. Felina had seen enough of his matches to know what kind of hits he was capable of taking. Rather, she was annoyed with herself for being naive enough to get her hopes up so easily. Army was coming at her with everything he had, fully determined to pin Felina and ship her off to Tokyo for good. If she wanted to keep her spot here, the latina was going to have to break him down until she was damn sure he was done.

Pulling herself up, she closed the small distance to her hopefully still-dazed cousin, and would reach down to grab his head before trying to pull him up to a seated position. Form there, Felina would rear her right leg back before firing forward with full force, aiming to blast Army in the center of his back with as powerful a kick as she could muster.
