Armando "Army" Rodriguez vs Haruko "Mileena" Akiyama

Mileena woke to the sound of someone talking to her. There was a light tap on her shoulder and then face. The bright lights of the arena ceiling looked like multiple Suns above her head. As her blurry visioned refocused she could see the referee girl in front of her. Her mind tried to figure out what had happened. She remembered the headbutt and then...darkness.

She felt the need to rub her chin and hissed in pain when she did. Army must have hit her good...so good that- "I lost?" she asked the ref bewildered, who nodded and said it was by knockout. For a moment, Mileena just stared at the ref who was offering to help her up. Instead, the would be assassin grabbed her by the neck and shoved her back angrily. She rolled up to her knees, leaning back on them, still groggy, and ran a hand up her face into her sweaty hair. "I lost?" she asked again, this time to no one in particular.

For a few seconds, as Army's theme kept playing in the arena, Mileena just stood there knelt down, her hand at the top of her head seemingly dumbfounded. Then, the would be assassin leaned forward and caught herself with her hands. She looked up at the ramp where Army had already left and growled. She slammed her fists on the mat and let out a siren shriek, furious at the result of the match. Her eyes were filled with rage, like she was about to bite someone's head off. She shrieked again, this time lunging up and into the ropes. She gripped the second one with all her strength, staring up at the empty ramp entrance as if her opponent was still there. She may had lost, but she was not done, not by a long shot.

Army's guess was right. He most certainly had not seen the last of her.
