Once the test of strength started, Mai felt that Lotte wasn't strong enough to resist her influence. So Mai pulled Lotte in for a surprise kiss. Hoping to weaken Lotte's resolve, so she can do as she pleases. Mai was hoping for a good turn out, because she could tell Lotte liked her by how much she was blushing.
