Ninjette vs. The Mask - Dogfight

Close. So close.

She was on the razor edge with this guy, and if she had been just a little slower, pushed up just a little weaker, taken that hit just a little harder, the three count would have been his. He backed off, giving her time to rise and filling her with dread, knowing damn well that having this guy out of her sights could only spell trouble. He was setting her up for something, clearly - she either had to figure out what it was or make it moot altogether.

She turned around was greeted by a stomp to her knee, making her hop back on foot as the strike hammered her bone. He spun around, grabbing her by the neck for the move that made Steve Austin a household name, looking to leave her stone cold in the middle of the ring.

Before he could drop, though, she brought her palms to his back and tried to push him forward, looking to break the move and send him to the ropes.

Step one was successful for The Mask as his foot connected with her knee. Step two, however, was partly successful as she managed to shove him away before he could execute the stunner, sending him towards the ropes. He quickly turned around, letting his back hit the ropes and launched himself towards her. With one knee hurting, the ninja girl might not be able to jump around freely, so he went low.

Or so it looked like for almost everyone else.

With his body lowered while dashing towards his opponent, The Mask would suddenly jump when he felt like he's in range. Once again, he would attempt for the Twister, the tilt-a-whirl headscissors take down that he failed to pull back then.

If you fail at first, then try, try again.

Well, her knee was hurting, but she managed to avoid getting a concussion from a Stone Cold Stunner. So Rah-Rah for progress, she guessed.

He went sailing to the ropes and came back at her full speed, giving her the scantest of seconds to react. If her knee wasn't still sore, she would have just hit him with a drop kick and worked from there, but she would need a nice, hot minute before it was good enough for that sort of thing. Until then, she was going fist-to-fist, and she started it off by throwing a chop out.

Which missed. Because he ducked. Shit.

He popped up and caught her in that damn thing that he'd been trying to do earlier - a titl-a-whirl headscissors. She got whipped around and sent head over heels, rolling across the ring, popping up and slamming chest first into the turnbuckle, glad for once that she didn't have much flesh to get damaged in that area. The average AFW girl would have found it much more painful. As it was, she was still in a world of hurt as she turned around, leaning in the corner and wincing with the pain.

Success.

After a little spinning that ended up with Ninjette crashing on the corner, there was a loud round of cheers on the arena. The girl might not be down on the mat, but she was clearly hurt by the move. The Mask roared as he got up, head facing up while clenching his fists. It's always a great feeling when he managed to pull that one successfully.

With his opponent slumped at the corner, he immediately set his sight on her again. He skipped towards her, reaching for her back to pull the ninja girl from the corner. The masked fighter could have slammed her back to the post, but he had other idea. His plan was to toss Ninjette towards the center of the ring, before running after her and jumped from behind, aiming to drive her down face first to the mat with a running bulldog.

Kozue couldn't help but give a little wry grin as he roared in triumph. Maybe a little premature, but she had to admire the guy's energy, if nothing else.

She didn't give him long to recoup, and by the time her head started to clear, she was already on him, pulling her from the turnbuckle and throwing her across the ring. At first she thought he was just going to throw her into the other post and go for some kind of running corner move, but no - that would have been too easy. Instead, he could up with her before she reached the halfway mark, grabbed her by the head, jumped up and slammed her down face first for a nasty little bulldog, smack dab in the center of the ring.

She was splayed out for a moment before she started to pull her limps in, shaking her head and letting her tattered hairs dance about. That one rang her bell, definitely, and she was taking her sweet time getting back up from it.

Down she went again, and off he roared again, albeit less louder this time. Rolling onto his knees, The Mask was initially thought about pinning her again, but he decided that it might not work. After all, Ninjette had proven to be quite a tough customer. Maybe one more strike would do the job.

He got up to his feet and decided to drag her towards one of the turnbuckle by one of her legs. Placing the ninja girl a couple of feet away from the corner, The Mask would then climb the post again. He stood tall, clasping his hands together like a praying gesture, slightly looking down on his target and let out a sigh. Once that quick ritual passed, The Masks howled and jumped off the turnbuckle, flipping himself midair as she went for his finisher, Feral Flight, also known as the 630 Senton.

Kozue was tough - as skinny ninja bitches went, anyway - not too many people would question that, but even she had limits, and she was rapidly approaching them. They'd gone back and forth more times than she cared to count, and the toll was starting to take. One can only take so many blows to the head, after all.

She got a little more lucid as she was dragged along to the corner, rolling her head to and fro as the lights beamed down, blinding her. She was fully aware by the time she got her in place and went, looming over her, going for a high-risk move and coming down on her like the fucking hammer of God himself.

She just couldn't move her body enough to do anything about it. Damn.

He came down on her with a hard crash, making her body bounce on impact, flopping over to her chest, kicking her legs from the pain and rubbing her face into the mat, eyes screwed shut in pain.

Almost everyone was holding their breath as he took off. Would he hit? Would she dodge again? There's an immediate "ooohhh" in unison as The Mask crashed onto Ninjette and rolled onto his back, followed by an awkward moment of silence. He didn't get up immediately, but spent a few seconds panting on the mat before turning over onto all four.

The Mask crawled towards the downed ninja girl, rather sluggishly, before rolling Ninjette onto her back and threw himself above her. One arm hooking her leg, he went for the pin again, and the ref slided in to start the count.

"One..!"

The bomb dropped and Kozue's body exploded with pain, knocking the sense clean out of her. The Mask had the good sense to capitalize, too, not that she could really make much note of it at the time - by the time her senses returned the ref was finished with "2...!" and going for the final count.

"Shit, no-" She started to squirm and kick, but her fate was sealed - she would need two more seconds to get out, and she only had one.

"3...!"

She let out a frustrated groan and laid back, sighing - it was over, no sense in kvetching over it like a pussy. She wanted to be a professional, she could take it like the professionals did. "All right, Quasimodo, good fight. And you still can't hear me. So I'm talking to myself. Again. Right."

The count was finalized and the bell rang to signal The Mask's victory, even if he had to glance at the ref to see the nod from her. Looking down at Ninjette as he picked himself up to his feet, he caught sight of her lips saying something. Back then with all the tussling and flying around it's hard to pay attention, but now that they're not fighting each other, he could read what she was saying.

"...good... fight," he replied, in a relatively low voice, giving her a thumb up.

Turning away from the ninja girl, The Mask went to the center of the ring and punched both his fists up. A little celebration never hurt.

"Roi'ha!" he roared while repeating the punch and roar two more times.

He glanced around over his shoulder to Ninjette afterwards, before walking towards the edge of the ring and slipped himself out and made his exit. The audience cheered, but of course he couldn't hear them.
