"My Dad's face looks like that all the time, didn't notice any difference." She waved it off, before straightening back up at the Chess-Boxing mention. Kind of a non-sequitar, but she went along with it. "Yeah, yeah, chessboxing. Caught a tournament when I was in London a couple years back, look into it every now and then. Europeans love it, big in the EU. Why?"

"Yeah, so it's a British thing huh? Well, anyway. Before her actual match, Adrian's got to face Parker in a Chess Boxing match first." Rebecca explained "She's okay-ish with Chess but she's not a boxer. So she'll probably need training for it. Was wondering if you were up for it."

"But anyway, back to food." She retreaded

She thought that offer over for a second, remembering the little back and forth between Taylor and Adrian. She had only been paying half attention to it, but it seemed like a pretty deep rivalry, real personal...the sort of thing she had been trying to avoid. It couldn't hurt to give her some training, though, and Rebecca was too nice to refuse. If anything, it would help make the match interesting, and it would be nice to see how far her training skills could help.

"Sure thing." She gave a solemn nod. "I'll look over some of their matches tonight and figure out what she needs to work on. As for the food, that's on you - whatever you want, whenever you want it."

"Thanks man, good to see a friendly face every now and then." Rebecca said. "Maybe give or take a while, let you heal up a bit. Unless you just want to yell at her while she slugs a sandbag."

Carmen shrugged - it would give her more time to review, anyway. If she was going to train, she wanted to give it her best. Especially for a friend. And even more especially for a friend who was at least half a foot taller than her.

"Hey, I'm not bad with one hand." She shot out a quick jab, well away from hitting Rebecca. "But sure thing, I'll call you when I'm good enough to give her 100%, and I'll try to bring her back to you in one piece. Promise." She gave a wink and started to slide into the locker room.
