Carmen Rodriquez vs. Snowman

Indeed, defending with one hand was really a weak maneuver, but what other choice did Snowman have? When Carmen came close, he would keep that hand clenched in a fist and ready to punch. He would go forward for a defending punch, but she would duck and give two uppercuts straight to the stomach.

Snowman would grunt and cough out both times and he got doubled over. The pain in the stomach was more intense than his back, which made him open for Carmen's next move.

The uppercuts landed with monster truck force, crashing into his body and driving him back, full impact - and she had more, where that came from. Snowman could take a punch, she had to give him that, but she was ready to throw as many as it took to put him down.

She rose up fast and swung her arm wide, coming at his head, trying to use a more wrestling oriented move, now - the classic clothesline, great for laying out opponents, nice and flat.

Snowman was so winded out that he was too weak to even stand up straight. As soon as he looked up, Carmen would swing her fist really fast to go for a clothesline. The hit would crash onto his face and it made him fly from his position and land hard on his back. Snowman would then cover his face and stomach with hands as they are in great pain as it is. He had to try and recover quickly if he wanted to get back in the match.

Sure enough, down he went.

He started covering up his upper body, probably expecting her to move in and start ground pounding him - a smart move, she had stuck to upper body punches all during the match, reasonable to expect that was were the pain would come from, next.

Not true, but reasonable.

Dropping down, she tried to grab him by the ankle - this time she was going for a submission, and one of the precious few she knew how to do. Wrapping her arm around the ankle, she tried to pull him for a straight ankle lock,wrapping her thighs around his leg to hold him in place while her forearm acted as a fulcrum.

"NNNGH!!!" Sniwman would moan and grunt out loudly as Carmen moved in to get him in a straight ankle lock. The pressure of the hold was mounting on that ankle and lower part of his leg. Seeing that his other leg was fine, Snowman would lift it in an attempt to kick at Carmen and make her release him. The ankle lock may slow him down though.

Oh, right, he had two legs. The fatal flaw of the ankle lock. His kicked managed to knock her back a few steps, putting her against the ropes as she staggered.

Still, she was slowing him down; take out the foundation and the rest will follow. Bouncing off, she came at him from the side and tried to grab his head, roughly pulling him up to his now-weakened feet.

Snowman would rub his ankle a little as he managed to kick Carmen away to the ropes for a while. But Carmen wasn't one to slow down so easily herself as he felt her grabbing his head. He would grunt as he was ring pulled up to his feet and the one that got wrenched on earlier was quite painful. Gritting his teeth to try and hide the pain, Snowman would try to grab that arm and pull her in roughly to give her a clothesline.

If this worked, Snowman would give another punch for a ground pound.

It just hit Carmen what was so different about fighting wrestlers. With boxers, you pretty much know what to expect. Sure, there were a lot of different ways to throw a punch, different stances, nuances, movement, all of that. But at the end of the day, you had two arms to worry about, and that was it. With wrestlers? All sort of ways to come at her.

Oh, and his clothesline. That hit her, too.

She was brought down hard, slamming into the mat, laid out flat as the crowd cheered and booed, evenly split between the two of them. She blinked, shaking her head and trying to get back to reality.

Snowman would feel the mat shake a bit as he saw that the move was quite effective against Carmen. It was hard to tell from his current expression if he felt satisfied or regretful for doing that on account of the mixed reactions from the crowd. As Carmen was still down, Snowman had to act fast before she comes around. So, he would attempt to grab one of her legs and turn around to wrap it around his own leg. If this worked, he would continue the setup until he locks in the Figure 4 leg lock.

Carmen, still trying to shake off the last vestiges of her boxing experience and transfer over to wrestling, was still getting used to the concept of attack and being attacked while she was on the ground. Her whole life, she had been trained to fight with both of her feet on the floor - taking it down to the mat, fighting with submissions, all this crazy stuff was the complete opposite of that. Night and day. The last place she wanted to be.

And yet, here she was.

Carmen cried out and thrashed as he locked the figure 4, pulling back on her elbows and frantically going for relief in the ropes.
