Deathbird vs. Xuan Lee

After a long pause in thought, Deathbird would nod and say, "Okay, fair enough. You see I had a perfect life back when I was little. Parents, the best little sister one can ask for, a warm home, plenty of food. I was interested in self defense at a very young age when I watched my mother and father train with each other. My father told me that me and my sister would soon be the next in line to carry on the name. And then...then..." Her hands clenched into fists as she shut her eyes to try and hold her anger in.

Nothing seemed wrong.She didn't have such a bad childhood,or so it semed.Xuan saw the anger that was building in sight of the girl's fists clenching tightly. "And then what? What did your father do,Deathbird?"

It would take a few moments before Deathbird finally said, "It's not what my father did...it's what's been done to him! One night as we had family time together, our home suddenly got invaded. My father tried to protect us, but they killed him on the spot before setting our house on fire! As they got away, the flames separated me from my Mother and little sister. After all that...I didn't know where they are! I don't know whether they are dead or still lost!" Deathbird panted heavily through clenched teeth as she was ready to punch.

"I tried to find help...but what did they do? What...did...they...do? They just ignored me and thought my pain was no big deal! No one came to help! No one..."

Xuan backed away a bit,afraid of getting punched.It made of bit of sense why she was mean now.Part of it was due to what was done to her family.But,what was the reason? "Why were you attacked? W-Who was it that attacked you and your family?"

She made some connections from her own life,remembering some times that she broke into homes of diplomats to steal plans and various documents...

"I don't know!" Deathbird screamed as the anger got to her good. "We have done nothing to them and I could hardly see their faces before my father's blood caught my eye. And...I don't think I'll ever see my family again..." At this moment, Deathbird would just lower her head and bring her knees up to hug as she softly sobbed.

There was no quick respone from Xuan nor the Dark Voice in the scarf.She bowed her head in slight resentment for making Deathbird so angry and cry but moments later.The theif began to think of something to say to cheer her up. "What dares you to not look up? Why always down? Think,they could still be alive.If you haven't found them or an answer,then you haven't looked hard enough.I know what its like as well,to lose someone you care for..."

Deathbird wanted to believe that there is hope and a chance that her mother and sister can still be alive, but at the moment, it seems impossible. She then raised her head up to look at Xuan and ask, "What do you mean?"

Guess it was her turn now.

"I don't know my parents.I never knew them.As a baby,I was left in front of the Theive's Guild.There,the master took care of me until I matured and was old enough to be a hired theif for agencies and small corporations,and even single clients." Xuan stopped and bit her lip. "One day...."

Deathbird was intrigued in hearing Xuan's early childhood. Though she never met her parents, Xuan had early excitement in her childhood that will affect her to becoming a skilled fighter and thief. "What happened?"

"I had gone up all the ranks in the guild and made it to the top 15.The next assignment was to retreive a deed to a small town.During debreifing,I found that the town was under a heavy magnetic field.Anthing metal was sucked up,and came down in rain.A knife storm,if you will..."

Xuan remembered those storms happening frequently. "When they fell and the skies cleared,all the sharp metal flew back up.The master,he....he stayed out too long...."
