Godmoding and Powerplaying

I don't think what happens in a match with a subbie is actually power playing though. I don't think it's possible because you're not taking anything away from the sub.

Yep, that's not powerplaying. Powerplaying is not making your opponent suffer or get humiliated. Powerplaying is, according to the rules, "make your character seem unbeatable". Which will keep competitive roleplayers away from you :>

Because nothing I can say here can possibly make the thread any worse, I'll add, it's disconcerting how so many of you immediately went for the sexual connotations of someone who wanted to lose rather than, you know, the established wrestling term: jobber.

Not that jobbing didn't come up, but, still... Creepy. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised as there's Anime and Female before wrestling here, but... STILL.

There is a reason the word "Wrestling" comes up last here.



However, I believe Bluemouse, Alexandra, and Tiefblau will put wrestling first.




And WrestlerAngel....I think you might not be getting what we mean by powerplaying. Powerplaying is basically, in simple terms, when you decide to have all your attacks work, all you opponents attack fail, control what your opponent does in a match, and make your character superman. Now if this is done WITHOUT discussion with the other RPer, then it's godmoding/powerplaying.


And if thats what the "competitive roleplayers" like to do, then we probably don't want them here.

There is no competition here, there is nothing to be won here by powerplaying except to expand one's ego and that is all.

We are all here for fun, and when somebody starts powerplaying on their own, again, WITHOUT permission/discussion with your fellow RPer, it makes it less fun for everybody.

I like Powerplaying, it has the word Power in it.
