World Title Semi Final: Tina Armstrong vs Heather Sunderland

"Haaaah" Heather would let out a relieved sigh after she connected with the hard DDT on Tina. She was picking up steam now and it was going quite good for her. She looked up at the ceiling, lying on the ground for a few seconds as she took it in. "On my way.." Heather would say with a grin as she thought of the gold around her waist before she turned her head to Tina.

"Think I'll wear you down a bit more." Heather would say as she would do a slight roll to adjust her body. Reaching for Tina's hair, she would attempt to grab at it, lift her head up, place one leg under, and use her other leg to try and trap her in a side headscissors hold. Heather isn't all that great in submissions, but with her type of moves, her legs were quite strong and firm.

Tina groaned in pain as she lay on her back, having flipped over some point after the DDT felt her hair pulling her head into position. Not enough energy to really stop Heather trapping her in the headscissors, the pain from the pressure bringing her back to reality in a painful way as she grit her teeth. She wasn't going to let an opportunity like this pass her by.

Heather's legs were strong enough to keep her pinned down, while the Texan may have had more upper body strength, it would be difficult to get herself out of this by countering... but maybe she could force a break, the quick series that leveled her hadn't taken her far away from the ropes, so she tried to swing her body, trying to get a foot on the ropes for a rope break.

"I think I'll just break your neck in this position, won't be too much of a problem. THAT will be a good way to wear you down." Heather would let out as she held the scissors hold on tightly, trying to get the girl to tap out which would be quite the accomplishment for Heather, someone who doesn't consider herself at all as a submission user.

She thought having her in this position would just be perfect, a great way to get her in prime position to execute either one of her finishers. However, it seemed Tina wasn't letting her pull off that plan as moments after the girl would maneuver herself so she could grab the rope. The ref would begin the count, getting to four before Heather would finally break it.

"Damn.." Heather would let out as she would roll away, getting to her feet where she would immediately try to charge at the girl and give her a sliding dropkick to her side while she was still on the ground, trying to not give her any room to breathe.

Tina gasped for air as she was let go of her leggy prison. Heather had done a bit of damage there, really cranking the pressure on her neck for the four count and leaving the superstar completely open to her sliding dropkick.

"Ugh!" She grunted as the highflyer's two boots smacked into her side, sending her through the ropes and leaving her to pull herself up on the very edge of the ring.

Heather would let out a small sound of satisfaction as her boots collided with Tina's side. She was expecting to hear the girl smash into the outside of the ring, but instead she heard nothing of the sort, Tina being able to pull herself up on the edge of the ring, getting up onto the ring apron.

"Tch, tricky huh? Alright, then you can just get back in here." Heather would say as she would make it to the ropes. Reaching over, she would attempt to pull the girl the rest of the way to her feet by grabbing at her hair and yanking it up, making sure not to hold on too long and get disqualified. If she was able to do that, she would wrap her arm around the girl's head, attempting to give herself enough footing to try and lift the girl up into a suplex back into the ring.

Tina's groggy state allowed Heather to pull her up with ease, she wanted to get up anyway and the painful hairpull: making her eyes shut to try and block out the pain, was only helping her.

However taking a big move would not, as she felt Heather's arm move to trap her she slipped one leg in the ropes, entangling her leg with Heather's to make it hard to lift her up for a vertical suplex, and throw a few shots to her rib with the superstar's spare fist for good measure. Heather had a good run of momentum, and she needed to stop it as soon as possible.

As Heather lifted Tina up by her hair, she would just grin, thinking that the girl was just in the palm of her hands now. Though she had this feeling before and it didn't come to be, she felt like this was really it. She'd get her in the ring, weaken her a bit more, and go for her finisher, ending it all.

However, as Heather slung her arm around Tina's head, going to lift her for the suplex, she would find the girl putting her leg through the ropes and entangling with her's making it nearly impossible to lift her for it. "Tch come on!" Heather would let out, trying another time to lift her up, again to no avail but this time she was also stopped by a heavy impact on her ribs, one after the other. Heather would let out a grunt before she would let go of the girl, stumbling backwards and holding her ribs from the pain. "Kh..damnit.."

Tina let out a relieved sigh as her ploy worked, her punches had dislodged Heather again and kept her in this match up. But she only had a brief window to get back before Heather would come after her again. Stepping through the ropes quickly she charged in, looking to hit Sunderland in the chest with a vicious lariat. "Don't underestimate me!" She cried out as she ran at Heather, looking to get her actions rolling.

As Heather stumbled back, she tried quickly to regain her bearings. The match was going too well in her way to give it up now, but it seemed like that was exactly what was going to happen. As she stumbled, she would suddenly hear Tina yell out the words that she did, causing he to gasp and look up as her eyes widened. The girl was coming straight towards her and there wasn't much she could do.

To lessen the blow however, Heather would raise her hands up, stopping the full power of the lariat, but the girl's arm still collided with her and she was sent crashing to the mat on her back. "Guh!" Heather would let out from the impact as she lie there, arching her back slightly before straining herself to try to get back to her feet, though it would be a slow one.

Tina wasn't nearly done as Heather was knocked down, bending down to pick her up so the high flyer would be doubled over, before with a grunt of effort lift her up for a gutwrench suplex. Her technical prowess combining with her strength to slam Heather back down.
