Kei Maxwell vs Taylor Sparks (Friction Debut)

Taylor stood backstage, working to keep her breathing steady. Her hands trembled a little, but she liked that. She bounced on the balls of her feet and shook out her arms, full of nervous energy. Her first match in Japan, and her opponent was a veteran, old enough to be her mom. She couldn't help but grin.

She was dressed for the occasion, and just wearing the clothes was exciting. She loved being on stage, loved being provocative, and loooved to fight. Her bright blue hair was tied back in loose pigtails, with bangs that all but covered one eye. She had a small white gold eyebrow ring on the right. On top, she wore a cropped white button down shirt, tied in the front just under her bust with a bright red lacy bra peeking out.

On bottom she wore a red and black plaid skirt that's just barely long enough to cover her butt, held on with one button at the top with the slit underneath falling over her right thigh. A black and chrome studded belt wrapped around her hips, but served no real purpose. Black over-the-knee socks with red skulls on them poke up over the tops of her knee-high strappy black leather boots. The boots have about a 1" platform with an additional inch under the heel.

Under her socks were her knee pads. She wore red leather fingerless gloves and black fishnet arm "warmers" that hooked over her thumbs and ran back to her elbows. The finishing touch was a black velvet choker with a bright chrome kitty cat charm on the front.

As her music hit she turned the corner and started down the ramp toward the ring. She was overflowing with energy. She jumped around and threw her fist in the air and wasted no time in sprinting down the ramp. She dove onto the ring apron and rolled under the bottom rope. When she looked around at the arena she paused for a moment, just taking the sight in. She took a deep breath.

She skipped across the ring and hopped up on the corner, her feet on the second rope and her body leaning against the turnbuckle. She pumped her fist in time with her music.

"Yeeaaaaah!" she screamed. She brushed her bangs back and hopped down and just couldn't stand still while she waited for her opponent. She did a couple jumping jacks, stretched her arms out, propped each foot up on the turnbuckle and stretched her legs, and smiled uncontrollably.

When Kei arrived at the arena that day and found out who her opponent was she sighed. She wasn't against facing new talent, in fact she liked it as it also kept her sharp. Just the last one she faced hightailed it and ran away after it was all said and done. "This little mouse better not run off after getting a little piece of cheese." But she tried not to think about it and went on her day as she wanted to get in the mindset of sending the new kid back to school, even though she hoped Taylor could test her too.

She saw Taylor go by her on her way to head out to the ring and says to herself 'I have a feeling she'll do just fine.' with a grin. She could tell Taylor was pumped and she liked that, both as an opponent and someone eying new talent.

Speaking of eying new talent, Sion found a good spot in the back to watch. He heard that Taylor was new and was also looking for new talent, but in his case to manage.



Kei came out shortly after Martyr No More started. Slappin hands with the near by fans that wanted some. She too takes a pose on the turnbuckle, but then sees the ring announcer leaving and she quickly hopes down, snatching the mic from him, and in the same motion looks over at Taylor and sings, and not badly either "cause I won't be your martyr anymore." which was the line spoken in her theme at the same moment. She grins and tosses back at the announcer person and backs up to the other corner waiting for the bell to sound.

Annamaria would walk out with Kei and would follow behind her. She would wait by the ring, watching the match closely.

Taylor watched Kei make her entrance, still bouncing in the middle of the ring. She clenched both fists and relaxed them several times, the leather of her gloves creaking over her knuckles as it was pulled tight. She laughed out loud out of pure delight and thought about how awesome it was going to be to finally kick ass in the ring.

As Kei approached the ring apron and starts to climb up into the ring, Taylor rushed over to her, holding out her hands to help her up. "Hey, hey, you got that? Don't break a hip or anything." When Kei ignored her and stood up in the ring she backed off to her corner, holding her hands up in front of her. When Kei grabs the mic and sings, Taylor laughs obnoxiously.

"HAH! Take it easy, Cher, there's plenty of time to launch your singing career after you retire from wrestling. Which, if I had to guess, will be in like, oh, about 6 minutes."

The bell rings and she moves lightly out of her corner to the middle of the ring, still grinning uncontrollably but now in such a way that you wouldn't want to turn your back to her. She stays on the balls of her feet, very mobile, ready to move.

"Let's do this, mullet-queen. Don't go dyin' on me. You look like a russian dude."

After Kei did her thing she gave Taylor a '_____ is not amused' look as if telling her she's not that old and will whip her butt back to the stone age if she thinks otherwise. Which yeah she was old and getting near the age where wrestlers do consider what to do next, but she showed no signs of slowing down. She knew she still had time before the old jokes would come out on a more frequent basis but she still wasn't amused, but it didn't piss her off though and hoped Taylor was just being a smart ass, since she too knew how to have fun out here, though this time not at the play by play announcer's expense.

when the bell rings she tells the ref when she heard 'will be in like, oh, about 6 minutes' "that sounded like stipulation on her part." she half joked. All joking aside she knew it was go time. She gave her a grin and said as she pointed up "what the fuck is that?" If she looks up she'd slap her across the face and back off with a smirk and say 'welcome to the big leagues kid." then follow up calling for a lock up. If she didn't fall for it she'd shrug and go to grab her anyway.

Taylor gave Kei a dirty look. "How freaking stupid do you think I-" Whap! She was too busy not falling for Kei's trick and forgot to actually watch out for the slap. She stumbled back a step or two, one hand to the side of her face, suddenly feeling incredibly stupid. Horribly violent thoughts about Kei blazed through her head.

She narrowed her eyes. "Alright." She blew at her bangs to get them out of her face and came forward again, offering a tie up. She had no intention of actually locking up with the bigger girl, and once in range she instead darted in with her lead hand looking to jab a finger in Kei's eye.

Kei managed to shut her eye in time but it still didn't stop the poking "ow!" she flinched and a natural reaction was to swat at her with her opposite hand that wasn't favouring her eye. She then looked up at her. "So that's how you want to play hmm? Fine with me."

Without stopping, Taylor followed up in the second when Kei's eyes were shut by jumping straight up as high as she could and planting both boots into her chest. She hits the mat on her hip, slaps her hands down and immediately bounces back to her feet.

After being taken down by the dropkick she rolls to the outside to collect her self.

"Hey, Kei, you should focus on two things, the wrists and the ankles, I just have a felling with that girl. Sound good?" Annamaria would say and ask, moving infront of Kei.
