Yuki Morishige and Maria Castillo - Minor Threat

"... Three."

Even with her letting the final count linger in the air for a moment, Maria couldn't even move a muscle in an attempt to kick out. She beat one of her heroes in just two moves. Was this really it? Just three measly seconds,  give or take, and the bout was over?

Then something crossed Yuki's mind- A single word. And before Yuki could even recognize the thought process behind it, she blurted it out:

"Four."

The distant echo of the now continued count made the poor champion's pride sting just a bit more. bad enough that she got beaten, but now she was being pinned for far longer than she normally would! It was just the latest instance of her seemingly endless spiral. no matter how long she tried to hold onto her championships, these events were always a stark reminder that she was simply clinging to the top of the mountain with one hand....and her grip was slipping.

EVerything kept fading in and out, and the woman's concept of time was severely muddled, to the point where she wasn't even sure how long she had been flat on her back!
