Kasumi Tsuji Vs. Lynne Steinwich

Kasumi slowly pushed herself up onto her feet. She panted weakly, her eyes were barely open. She was a complete mess. Her outfit was all twisted up and loosened, some parts even torn, showing her pale skin beneath. When she finally stood straight however, the determination burning in her eyes showed she wasn't giving up. Kasumi still was willing to fight.

Lynne, on the other hand, waited for her on her stance, in good shape, but her own desire to fight had been overcome by Kasumi's bad state. "Can you still fight?" She asked, sheepishly. "You don't look very well..." She looked at Kasumi's eyes for a moment, and got surprised that she still had such a determined look at this point.

When Lynne asked if Kasumi could still fight, she merely smiled. "I'm glad that you're a considerate person Lynne-san," Kasumi said, "You actually let me get back up. Thank you for that." She clenched her hands into fists, and settled back into her fighting position, one hand in front, the other hand at her hip. "I'm not out yet!" she said, "It'll take more than that to take out a Tsuji!" She leapt forward, trying to get inside Lynne's guard. She was slower and more tired than before, but her skills were still there. She hoped that would be enough.

Hearing Kasumi's words, Lynne smiled. The kawaii girl still had the desire to fight, and was able to flare some of her determination again. "Well... alright, then!" She wanted to win, but not to hurt Kasumi too much; she had to find a way to end that quickly. She saw her coming; her movements had been slowed, so this time Lynne had some time to react. The swimmer would try to slip behind Kasumi as she approached and attempt to put her in a full nelson.

Kasumi might be slower, but she wasn't so slow that she would let Lynne just slip behind her. Rather, she spun with the motion, turning to face Lynne as she tried to duck behind, while also extending a fist to try and backhand Lynne. Kasumi wasn't out yet, she had too much training, too much discipline, and too much honor to just be taken down easily!

Lynne's attempt to get Kasumi again were cut short as the kawaii spun around; the back of her hand hit hard on Lynne's surprised face, leaving a red mark on her right cheek where the knuckles had landed. As Kasumi's body turned to face her again, she reacted, sending a quick and not overly strong punch at Kasumi's chest.

Kasumi saw the quick punch coming, but had no time to block, taking it in her small chest. The punch wasn't very strong; Kasumi had faced far worse training in her father's dojo, but because she was tired and much smaller than Lynne, it knocked her back a few steps. She quickly recovered, however, and leapt back at Lynne, aiming an open palm at her belly.

Lynne, unlike her opponent, was not used to defending against sudden strikes. When Kasumi stepped back, the swimmer thought she was going to stay stunned, and so she wasn't prepared for the palm that came storming in her direction. Lynne's body was built towards endurance, but her belly was still a soft spot, and so the undefended hit knocked the air out of her. She bent over slightly and clutched her sore gut, stunned for the moment.

Seeing how effective her strike was, Kasumi pressed her advantage. She quickly gathered her remaining energy, and launched a quick barrage of punches into Lynne's gut, hoping to slam Lynne six times while alternating fists, then delivering a quick low spinning kick to Lynne's leg to bring her down onto the mat.

Lynne tried to defend her belly, using her hands to stop or deflect Kasumi's punches, but the kawaii's striking technique was high-level and she had already been hit once. She was only able to block about the first two punches, and then the force of the remaining ones made her stagger backwards. Lynne was too winded to notice the low kick coming in time, and so she was sent back-first to the mat with a grunt.
