Kasumi Tsuji Vs. Lynne Steinwich

"My first match here at AFW... gotta calm down..." Kasumi thought as she finished putting her outfit on backstage. She tightened the belt at her waist, then picked up the long piece of cloth she used for a headband, tying it in the back with a large bow. Before going out, she warmed up by throwing a few punches and kicks, getting a feel for the techniques she was going to use in the match. "Remember how you fight," Kasumi thought, "And don't get caught in the opponent's rhythm."

"Alright, lets do this!" Kasumi thought as she walked out onto the ramp. She hadn't picked her entrance theme yet, so some rather generic rock played over the speakers. Kasumi didn't like it much, making a mental note to get it changed as soon as she had a chance. The crowd gave some appreciative cheers to the newcomer, though they were a little bit disappointed in her choice of attire, modest as it was. Kasumi waved to them as well before slipping into the ring through the ropes, waving at them again in the ring.

"Alright, this is it," Kasumi thought.

The generic rock gradually faded, and was substituted by an upbeat and cute song. At the top of the ramp Kasumi's opponent, Lynne, finally appeared. This time, the crowd went on a bigger roar, not so much because of Lynne's earlier victory as much as because of her form. She was in her normal attire, wearing nothing but boots and her trademark one-piece red swimsuit. It exposed her figure a bit, but Lynne felt more comfortable with it.

Smiling, Lynne went down the ramp, waving at the crowd from time to time. She was happy that she'd have a normal match this time, and as she got closer to the ring she could barely wait to meet her opponent. She slipped between the ropes, getting into the ring.

When Kasumi heard her opponent's song, she knew she had to get one fast. It was so much better than the crappy rock that played. She stood up on her tip-toes, trying to get a good look at her opponent. She saw a pretty looking brunette with in a red swimsuit that accentuated her curvy body coming down the ramp. After hearing the cheers in the crowd, Kasumi thought that perhaps they weren't just here to watch a fight, but to also ogle pretty female bodies. She sighed at that thought, but didn't let it bother her.

When Lynne entered the ring, Kasumi first sized her up. She looked to be several inches taller and quite a bit larger, meaning this was going to be tough. She bowed to her opponent in a sign of respect.

"Lynne-dono," Kasumi said, using a traditional Japanese suffix meant for respect, "I hope we can have a good match!"

As Lynne got into the ring, she finally faced Kasumi. Her opponent was somewhat petite, but wore a martial arts outfit and had a serious look on her face. Despite her seriousness, Lynne couldn't help but think she was rather cute. Maybe this match would be fun after all.

Kasumi bowed before her. She seemed very formal, and Lynne didn't know exactly how to greet her back. Hurriedly, she bowed down as well, although even with this she could still see the small opponent in front of her. "Uh... me too! You're... Kasumi, right?"

Kasumi giggled a little at Lynne's awkwarness with the bow. She didn't hold it against her; Lynne obviously wasn't a trained fighter. Kasumi thought that perhaps a big size difference wouldn't matter so much after all, and that she had a chance to win this.

"Yep, my name is Kasumi Tsuji, pleased to meet you!" Kasumi said, "Let's have a fair match, ok?"

The bell rang with a sharp peal. Kasumi immediately shifted into a fighting stance, left foot in front of right, left hand raised with the palm open sideways, right hand clenched into a fist at her hip. She was still smiling, though now her eyes had a very serious look in them.

Lynne nodded just as the bell rang. "Okay!" She then got into position, assuming a basic grappler stance. Kasumi had hit the spot: although she had athletic experience, Lynne's body wasn't originally built for fighting, and until now wrestling had been more of a secondary interest for her. This was quite visible from her movements, as it was easy to notice that her stance was a bit too loose.

However, Lynne wasn't thinking about that now, and facing Kasumi she started approaching her. She recognized her style as being Karate, but didn't pay much attention to it. She still hadn't realized that the kawaii could put her through some real trouble.

Seeing Lynne's loose stance, Kasumi adjusted herself accordingly. Lynne looked like she was familiar with her body, but wasn't very familiar with fighting. She could notice about five different openings in Lynne's fighting stance that could be exploited. She decided to show Lynne what she was capable of first, and test Lynne's own abilities.

Kasumi leapt in quickly, aiming to duck underneath Lynne's guard. She would try to open-palm strike Lynne's arms aside, then bring the arm at her waist upwards in a quick uppercut attack to the gut.

Until that moment, Lynne had been underestimating Kasumi a bit, because of her height. Therefore, when the kawaii fluidly went through her guard, she was caught by surprise. All of a sudden, her arms went open, turning her defense into a mess. Even surprised, she wouldn't just stay there, and she stepped back, avoiding the uppercut. There existed more effective ways of countering such a move, but Lynne chose to send back a quick straight punch at Kasumi's head.

Kasumi smiled when Lynne avoided the obvious punch. She was testing Lynne, since she needed to see how good Lynne was. She had good reflexes it seemed. She saw the punch heading at her face, using one of her arms to deflect the punch, knocking it to the side, while stepping forward again to get right up to Lynne. She would try to use an elbow strike this time, aiming it at Lynne's side.

Lynne lowered one arm and blocked Kasumi's elbow strike before it could land on its true target. She had already gotten into the flow of the fight, and wanted to start grappling, as she was more familiar with it than with striking. Taking advantage of Kasumi's proximity, Lynne would try to grab one of her arms and pull her closer, while at the same time sending a knee strike towards her.
