Cyber Saturday - Julia Rogers vs. ???

This was it! Tonight was the night Julia Rogers made her return to PPV!

The cowgirl hadn’t expected the road to be a smooth one when she had come back to Japan, but even so it had been bumpier than anticipated. Something had been missing, some crucial piece of the puzzle that would have to be found if she ever hoped to return to the level of competition she had once been on. Whatever that missing piece was, perhaps tonight would be the night that she finally found it! Management had set a challenge up for her that had the daredevil luchadora tingling with excitement: four potential opponents, each stylistically different from the rest, all wrestlers who Julia had never stepped into a ring with. Tonight, the fans would vote to decide which of them the cowgirl would step into the ring with!

Julia’s eager anticipation fortunately wouldn’t have to hold for longer, as her familiar music began playing through the arena, and seconds later she was bursting through the curtain onto the stage! A bright smile pulled at her lips while she looked out at the crowd, listening while they welcomed her with a thunderous chorus of cheers. Quickly she made her way down the aisle, slapping hands with every fan within reach along the front row before she arrived at the ring, hopping up onto the apron and climbing up to the top turnbuckle of the nearest corner. She cupped her hands around her mouth, then called out at the top of her lungs.

“LET’S MAKE SOME NOISE, TOKYO!!!!”

Her call spurred on a fresh wave of cheers from the audience, which the blonde took a moment to take in. Then she pushed up to stand upright on the top turnbuckle, before launching herself off of it into a backflip and landing on her feet in the middle of the ring! The acrobatic display one last loud reaction from her fans, after which the luchadora made her way into the corner. She began to hop back and forth on her feet, eyes eagerly focused down the entranceway. She could hardly wait to find out who she would be facing tonight.

And it was finally time for the big reveal...

"Alright pipsqueak, you better have a damn good reason for waking me up after my post-brunch nap, or I'm bout to make you real grateful that AFW has has an excellent dental plan..."

The sage old adage about never poking a sleeping bear not quite perhaps being more appropriate than when a backstage worker had drawn the short straw amongst his colleagues and was issued the unenviable task of awaking the slumber beast woman who had taken it upon herself to sprawl out on one of the sofas in the hallway and catch some shuteye. Something she'd usually be doing back home on her Double King's sized mattress, but AFW insisted she show up for this cockamamie Pay-Per-View just because she happened to be one of the possible participants to be voted on. Showing up to work and getting suited up for a match that Bashira goddamn knew she wouldn't get voted into on what should be a day off for her already had the cantankerous Bear-Woman sporting a surly disposition. A fact she clearly demonstrated to the poor stagehand currently elevated off of his feet by the collar of his shirt with his back quite literally against the wall.

" I-I-I just came to tell you that you won the fan ballot, a-a-and you're due up any minute..."

"...Get the fuck outta town." Bashira perked her head up and stared down an adjacent hallway from what vaguely sounded like her theme music being played over the loud speakers, the most sinister of sneering smiles darkening up her face as she released the terrified worker and proceeded to make her way to Gorilla position. The billowing black curtain at the top of the ramp being swiped to the side by the rotund bear woman making her ominous presence known, nigh three-hundred pounds of muscled mass marching on down the ramp as her pony-tail swayed behind her and without a flying fornication given for any of the fans at ringside. The Bear Brawler strolling towards the steel steps, but would raise her leg and slam her boot down upon the clanging metallic surface for an echoed reverberation that caused those nearby to flinch from the unexpected show of force. Bashira afterwards climbing up the steps and entering the ring through the ropes, eyes deadlocked on the nimble cowgirl whom she began jaw jacking to upon meeting her in the middle of the ring. "Y'all must not be all that popular if these people voted to see you get squashed into the ring canvas, eh Goldilocks?"

Julia waited patiently and eagerly, eyes intently focused toward the entranceway for the pending revelation of her mystery opponent for the night. Each of the options presented on the ballot had a unique challenge to present, and the cowgirl had never stepped in a ring with any of them before. Each second of silence that passed after her entrance music had faded out only heightened her anticipation!

The music played, and a grin tugged at the lips of the masked blonde as Bashira Matsumoto emerged onto the stage! Julia had known this was a large woman. But as she found was often the case, seeing the size of larger combatants on TV didn’t do them justice. You had to see them in person for it to really sink in. She watched her opponent march down the aisleway, easily noticing the proportional difference between her and those along the front row as she passed them. Interestingly, Julia observed a mix of reactions from those people. Most cheered, or looked at her with a sense of awe and wonder. Fans of Julia, particularly some wearing replicas of her mask, cheered their support for the cowgirl. A few sent not so friendly jeers Bashira’s way…though they were wise enough to wait until after she’d passed by them first.

There were no fireworks for Bashira’s entrance, but the thunderous stomp on the steel steps more than made up for it. By the time she entered the ring and stared her down, it was already abundantly clear her enemy’s mission was one of simple destruction. But if Julia was intimidated, she didn’t show it. Rather, she walked right up to the larger woman and stood toe-to-toe with her while grinning right up at her face.

“Think you underestimate how much people like a good rodeo. And this ain’t my first one,” she said before backing up into her corner, keeping her eyes locked onto the Bear Brawler. Seconds later, the bell sounded and the match was underway!

Putting her hands up, Julia quickly shifted out of her corner and began to circle around Bashira. She wasn’t foolish enough to even consider trying to start this with anything resembling a traditional lock-up. The obvious thing she needed to do was find a way to get this woman off her feet, preferably before Bashira could put her clear advantages in size and strength to any significant use. It was just a matter of how to accomplish that. First, to test the proverbial waters, Julia gradually inched closer to her opponent, before lashing out with a low soccer kick aimed right at the side, and the back if she could reach it, of Bashira’s knee.

You can ignore any prior aspersions and insinuations in regards to Bashira believing she held no chance in miraculously winning the opportunity to wrestle at this PPV. Of course she was going to fucking win that poll. Have you not already seen how much of an absolute monstertruck of a badass she was? Well, if not, you're about to. Bashira was the only logical choice when it came to bringing the boom and showcasing what real women's wrestling is all about. A knockdown slobberknocker of a brawl between plain-featured ladies intent on busting some skulls, and not placate to the fans with high-fiving smiles while dolled up like Barbie's Cowgirl Adventure. Bashira winning the voter's favor quite frankly made her believe that perhaps the AFW fandom wasn't as braindead hopeless as she thought, since they so obviously wanted to see the Bear-Woman squash this peppy cowgirl with a bear fisted dose of reality.

"People only like rodeos 'cause they wanna see the cowboy eat shit. And by the time this bull's done trampling you into the dirt, oh you'll be wishing it was your last." Bashira boorishly replied while backpedaling herself from the pre-match face off, wondering just why was it that all these Southern State types think they're hot shit because they lasso slabs of bull meat all day. To Bashira they were all nothing but a bunch of trumped up Bettie's from podunk towns who think they can hang tough with the big girls because they shovel horse manure all day and know how to twirl a goddamn rope. Big freakin whoop. Color Bashira unimpressed. Bashira returned to her corner and cracked the kinks out of her necks and knuckles until the bell rang and officially got this show on the road. The Beer-Bellied Beast hunching down a little with her mitts up and palms open with what was a slow-paced and methodical approach.

Biding her time and locking eyes with the light-footed Tex-ass of a wrestler, exhibiting patient refrain as she stepped closer toward Julia until she attempted and connected with a thwacking low soccer kick to the back of her knee. Bashira swatting out at the luchadora right afterward and showcasing how close Julia came to being jabbed herself if she wasn't careful. The impactful kick eliciting a grimaced scowl on Bash's face as she began taking a few stuttered steps backing off from Julia before she started walking somewhat normally again. "Heh...we're gonna play this game than, huh? Alright, Alright. You can't keep dancing around me forever though. Know that don't you?" Bash remarked with a malicious smirk, taking up her grappling stance with encroaching steps taken towards Julia. Her legwork somewhat hindered, but not enough to inhibit her from attempting to duck low and bullrush Julia into the corner turnbuckle a few feet behind her.
