[ONE] Semifinal Match: Melody Serperior vs Erin Quinn

Despite her match with Makie taking place about an hour or so ago, the greenette was still feeling the aftermath of the friendly, yet hard hitting contest, as her head, back and stomach all still hurt.

But, if she wanted to win the entire tourney, she couldn't let her injuries slow her down, if she were to win the second round as well. Her mission to avoid getting hurt last time failed miserably, but as Tara Kwan advanced to the finals without having to fight in the second round, the mission became a lot more urgent. As she missed Erin Quinn's first round fight, she didn't know the extent of how damaged her opponent was. But if she were to win the tourney, she had to take the Irishwoman down  and do it as quickly as she could.

As the crewmember gave the greenette Brit a signal to enter, Melody was all smiles and confidence toward the crowd, trying not to let the pain from the previous match show through, as she high-fived a few lucky people in the crowd, entered the ring, and bowed to the audience (though not as low as in the previous round, due to the pain in her abdomen)

She went towards her corner, and rested, trying to come up with a quick battle plan to ensure her swift victory, as she awaited Erin's arrival into the ring.

Given the signal, Erin would make her way from backstage and swiftly move towards the ring. Unlike most of her entrances, this time she had decided not to indulge the fans. In fact she hardly even looked at them and entered the ring with an uncharacteristic scowl. As evident from a small lump on her head, Erin's previous match had not gone the way she intended. One might think she was upset over the slight injury but it was the lack of any real damage that had her upset. The woman's match had ended early due to a swift punch in the face from someone she hadn't even met before.

"Alright, let's get this started. I came here to kick some ass, not wait around all day." The redhead announced almost as soon as she entered the ring. After making the announcement Erin figured she might as well check out her opponent. The other woman definitely stood out. She couldn't help but think the green would be a bit too weird for her to pull off but it worked on Melody.

Erin took a deep breath and sighed. "Ready to do this?" She asked Melody. She tried being a bit less gruff seeing as how it wasn't the other woman's fault that her match sucked. Erin figured she shouldn't be too mean anyway since in her mind the least she could do was be decent to the person she thought she was about to beat down. Erin would then quickly go to her corner and lean against the turnbuckle, now waiting impatiently for the match to start.

Melody silently nodded in regards to Erin's question. The woman didnt look as hurt as she expected her to be, despite a small lump on her head sticking out. She had heard that Erin's match was cut short by interference from someone not in the tourney. It seemed her bad mood was likely due to that fact. In addition, it meant that the Irishwoman was much fresher than Melody, who managed to pull through in a full match with a great wrestler like Makie. And add to that that Tara was allowed to rest during the second round meant that she would be much fresher than either woman in the ring now would be by the end of the match. This would definitely prove difficult for the greenette, as she tried to figure a good approach to beating the orange haired Irish woman in the ring...

"...what if...I just try to end it? Right after the bell rings?", Melody thought to herself, as ref prepared to send a signal to the timekeeper. On one point, rushing was part of the reason Makie ended up getting the upper hand on her for quite a while in their match...

...on the other, if she doesn't do that, butmanaged to win, Tara would likely destroy her in less than 2 minutes due to how tired she would be.

As the bell rung, she knew exactly which move she would go for.

Rushing at Erin right as the bell sounded, she would jump right st the woman, attempting to wrap her hands around her head, only to harshly drive it into the canvas with the momentum of her fall, going for her finishing Leaf Blade as the first move to try and finish this match as early as she could!

Erin took a deep breath and tried to ready herself for the start of the match. The bell rang and she was ready to fight. She wasn't ready however to see her opponent charging right at her. She was usually the one to rush right in. It was a welcomed sight though as Erin wasn't terribly fond of those that chose to circle their foes for too long. With a slight grin the redhead would mirror Melody's actions and run right towards her. While Melody had a head start on Erin, Erin had the weight advantage and hoped that would allow her to just mow down her opponent.

Erin charged at Melody looking to clothesline her but was taken by surprise as the other woman went to wrap her arms around her instead of going for a strike. Instead of either wrestler getting what they wanted Erin just crashed into Melody, a maneuver that was bound to be unpleasant for both parties involved. Since Erin's match had ended without her taking too much of a beating though she would be more than happy to just trade blows with her opponent in the hopes of Melody running out of gas before she did.

Melody's plan of taking Erin by surprise with her finisher spectacularly failed as the Irishwoman mirrored Melody's strategy and rushed straight at her. Right as Melody was about to jump with Erin's head in her arms, her opponent's momentum forced her to stay on her feet and stumble forward.

"Shit!", she cursed as she failed to finish the match in it's first moments. Erin would know likely see the same attack coming from a mile away, so Melody knew she would have to work towards nailing her finisher on her opponent...

Not keen on losing momentum to her opponent despite her finisher missing, Melody wouldn't simply turn around to face Erin, instead aiming the heel of her foot for the Irishwoman's face for a Spinning Heel Kick!

Erin had deterred her opponent from trying to bring the match to a quick close. She would have liked to be the first to go on the offensive but it appeared Melody was intent on having her on the defensive. The redhead was barely able to get her bearings right when she saw her opponent turning out of the corner of her eye.

The next thing Erin knew she was taking a heel right to her chin. "Guuugh!" The brawler groaned as she was sent stumbling to the side by the impact. After a few steps she braced herself against the ropes and brought a hand to her face. It took the redhead a few seconds to shake it off. There was definitely no denying that her opponent was faster than her and it was something Erin just learned the hard way that she would have to look out for.

So far so good. Melody had Erin on the ropes in more ways than one. If she could just continue like that for a bit longer, victory would definitely be in her hands!

Seeing Erin bracing herself against the ropes, Melody rushed after the Irishwoman, not waisting any moment, not allowing her opponent to rest. Outstretching her hand at the last possible moment, she was aiming to clothesline Erin outside the ring!

While Erin might have been dazed for a moment, it was still too early to count her out for long. The redhead caught herself against the ropes and turned her attention back to Melody. It seemed her opponent was determined to keep up her offense and immediately charged at her again. Being reminded of her own tactics, Erin couldn't help but crack a smile. Thankfully Erin knew just how to deal with this sort of thing.

Right as Melody was about to hit her, Erin wold use the rope as support and jump up to throw both of her legs out. She aimed to stop Melody in her tracks by driving both of her feet into the woman's stomach. She figured that would stop Melody from just charging at her any time soon.

In a normal match, Melody would've gone for a mix of offensive and defensive tactics for the begining, to try and work out a plan later on for the match to try and counter her opponent as much as she could.

A match in this sort of tourney, however, didn't permit the greenette to stick to her guns, needing to win as fast as she could to move on forward.

But her opponent wouldn't just idly accept Melody's attacks. With Melody naively believing her clothesline would find her mark, Erin would jump, getting both of her feet into the air right as Melody approached her! As a result, the greenette collided stomach-first with Erin's outstretched legs at her high-speeded run!

"AAAAAH!", Melody gasped from pain, staggering back and doubling down from pain as Erin started to shift the match back into her favour!
