From Street Fighter to Wrestler (For k0hryuu)

Clara would keep standing as Maddie ran at her, slightly nervous on whether she understood the move. Although, at worst she would just get clothelined in the face again.

Maddie approached her, swung around her: "So far so..."

And then Maddie would drop on her rear behind Clara. The girl herself would almost lose her balance and almost fall on top of Maddie, but successfully regained it:

"You alright? You almost did it! I am sure that third time will be the charm!", Clara would react optimistically, knowing that Maddie would've gotten the attempt if she went slightly faster.

"Ughh..." Maddie slowly got back to her feet, rubbing her bony buttocks. It did feel good she almost had it that time, and it seemed like a pretty simple adjustment. Her nerves had just gotten to her and she slowed down a little too much as she got close.

"Yeah... For sure I'll get it this time." the dark-haired girl clenched her fist as she nodded at Clara, feeling a bit more determined than she was before.

"Alright!", Clara took a step towards the middle of the ring, ready to ftake the move from Maddie:

"And GO!"

Running in for the 3rd time now, Maddie took to the air with a bit more conviction, able to maintain her momentum all the way through this time. Hooking in her arm at just the right moment, the dark-haired girl successfully yanked Clara off her feet and down onto her back.

Her landing was a bit rough on her butt yet again, but the dark-haired jobber was too excited to be bothered by it. "I did it!"

Clara stood as Maddie ran at her again. "This would be the time", she thought to herself.

Maddie hooked the arm around her neck...

Spun around...

Hooked the other arm...

And then Clara felt Maddie's momentum, taken off of her feet, and driven into the mat, backfirst, with a perfectly executed slingblade!

With Maddie naturally happy on learning the manuever, "Yaaaaaaaaay! Oww...", Clara raised her hands up, and winced due to pain from Maddie's slingblade.

"Let's rest for 5 minutes before we go for a spar. I will be wearing the cup over my crotch, so you will need to rely on strikes and what I taught you today!", Clara said as she got to her feet, rubbing her back.

"I guess she doesn't trust me that much... Kinda understandable..." Maddie thought to herself, "Did she seriously really go out and buy a cup just for this, though...?

Even if this was going to be just a spar, the dark-haired jobber could help but feel a bit nervous. She'd never actually seen Clara fight before (as far as she knew), so she didn't really know what to expect here. Given her size, she probably wasn't that strong... Hopefully only like GASTER-level or something.

Climbing down from the ring, Maddie went to take a drink from the water fountain, while trying to rest up and review her new moves in her head.

As Maddie jumped off the ring, she went to take a sip from the water fountain nearby. Clara however, left a bottle of water by the ring steps. She took it and took a sip herself, rehydrating herself for the spar that was about to take place...

"So...wrestling aside, how are things going?"

"Oh, well, uhhh..." Maddie scratched her head, trying to think of something to talk about. Akiko and Yukiko were still pretty mad about what happened in that last match against Navi, but were mostly taking out their frustration by over-indulging in some of their hobbies, primarily the three of them getting together and watching entire seasons of anime in one night.

Other than spending her time recuperating after getting stomped by Layla, Maddie hadn't really been very productive either. She hadn't even been keeping up with her daily training like the other two, despite probably needing it the most. "N-not bad... I guess. What about you...?"

After Clara came to Japan, she followed a fairly boring schedule. She woke up, watched Youtube, played video games or searched for wrestling matches for research purposes, went to the gym to train, and then went back home to mostly do the same thing, unless she had a match on that day. She didn't have as much matches as she would've liked to, she had relatively good time in Japan.

"Pretty much the same. My day is slightly formulaic, but it's alright", Clara said as she took another sip from her bottle.

A question that she wanted to ask Maddie flashed through her mind, about the fact that she already fought her as GASTER. Should she be direct with her or reveal it later...?

Although, both of them were having a good time right now, and she didn't know how Maddie would react to a (shocking!) revelation...she will have time later.

"Do you want to make this a regular thing? Like, once or twice a week, coming here to train, to show some moves?", she would ask after a brief silence.

"Hmmm... I, uh..." Maddie paused to contemplate Clara's offer. Logically speaking, it was a good idea. She needed to train, and working with someone that was ostensibly on the same level as her would be a lot more effective. She wouldn't have to worry about holding Akiko or Yukiko back, or getting overly self-conscious about screwing up in front of them.

On the other hand, she had just met Clara, and while she seemed like a nice girl, Maddie honestly wasn't the type that warmed up to others easily, especially after the thing that happened with Lia. Hell, knowing her luck they'd probably end up as enemies before long. Maybe it would be better if she didn't start getting too attached...

"L-lemme think about it. Yeah... I'll let you know..."
