Contendership Round 2: Chigusa Yuuki Vs. Athena Asahara

When Athena got off, Chigusa lay on the mat trying to regain her breath and restore some energy. She was worn out, but she still had her will. She didn't have anything else left, so that willpower would have to do. Chigusa began to slowly roll over and push herself up. When she was on her knees, Athena fired off her Hara-kick. Chigusa saw the kick coming out of the corner of her eye, ducking down quickly to avoid it. Athena shouldn't have let Chigusa regain some of her energy, for she would not have been able to move so fast. Chigusa threw out her leg aiming to sweep out Athena's leg and get her on the mat as well.

"She still has fight in her!?" Athena said to herself with shock as she thought Chigusa would be too weak to dodge. She was then taken down by Chigusa's sweep and she fell to the mat on her back.

Chigusa smiled as she got up to her feet. She seemed strangely peaceful, like she was in complete harmony with her environment. She raised her hands into the air. The crowd responded with a loud cheer. Chigusa suddenly looked invigorated, a fire burning in her eyes.

"An idol never backs down," she said. She would wait for Athena to begin to get back up, then run at her and hit her with a Shining Apprentice enzuigiri kick to the head.

Athena shook the cob webs out and began to slowly get up. Chigusa then ran at her right when she was on a knee, Athena wasn't quick enough to respond to the kick and it connected to her cheek and knocked her back onto the mat. "Man she is good with these strikes." Athena said to herself as she tried to roll away from Chigusa to recover.

It seemed that every time the crowd cheered Chigusa got another burst of energy. As Athena was rolling away, she quickly got up and ran over to where Athena was heading. She grabbed Athena's arm as she was getting up, pulling Athena to her feet.

"Here, let me help you," Chigusa said. But then when Athena got up, Chigusa still held onto her arms.

"And off you go!" Chigusa said, whipping Athena over to the ropes. Chigusa ran to the ropes on the other side, bouncing off the ropes and running back at Athena, aiming to do a running screw kick to Athena's face.

Athena went running towards the ropes as Chigusa ran to the opposite side and they were heading for a head on crash, but then Chigusa fired a screw kick that was aimed for Athena's face, but she saw it coming and just managed to move her head enough that Chigusa's kick caught her shoulder and the force sent Athena falling backwards back on the mat.

"You can sure pack a kick Chigusa." Athena said looking at Chigusa while rubbing her shoulder.

Athena was spared from a knockout move by her quick reflexes. Chigusa's kick hit Athena on the shoulder, knocking her down and hurting her, but not as much as Chigusa would've liked, Chigusa got up quickly, grabbing her arm to pull her up again. The crowd's continued cheers gave Chigusa more energy, firing her up and making her ready for more.

"Alright!" Chigusa said, "Prepare yourself!" She whipped Athena towards the corner this time. She waited a second before running after her, trying to perform a dropkick.

Once again Athena was forced to run the ropes, but Chigusa was waiting to strike her like a snake would and Chigusa jumped up with a dropkick, but Athena got her hand up in front of her face, but she still felt the kick. Her hand took some of the force away from it, but still sent Athena down to her butt, "I need to find an opening before she catches me with something big." Athena said to herself as she slowly stood up.

Though Athena managed to block the kick, she still fell down. Chigusa knew she was doing damage. She wanted to set up something big now. Chigusa quickly got up and leapt up the turnbuckle, scrambling up to stand at the very top. She waited for Athena to get up so she could preform her big move. When Athena stands up, her back turned towards Chigusa, she would leap off and grab Athena in a headscissor, spinning around from the momentum and attempting a flip Scissor Drop finisher.

Athena shook her head and got to a vertical stance and looked for Chigusa, but didn't see her. She then felt Chigusa's legs wrap around her neck from behind and then all Athena saw was Chigusa's crotch in her face when Chigusa twisted around for a frontal headscissors drop. Chigusa bent backwards to bring Athena's head into the mat, Athena was able to grab tightly onto Chigusa's thighs to prevent her from slamming Athena's head into the mat at full force. Athena had just saved herself from being knocked out.
