Kayla Kirisa vs Athena Asahara

After all the years she had spent training and wanting to be the best, Athena found herself walking into the huge arena with many watching. "Ok this is it, a shot at a Title." She said to herself looking around. "I have to do my best if I am gonna get to the top here today." She added as she made her way down the ramp. She waved to the fans before jumping into the ring and scooting herself into a corner.

While waiting Athena reached into her shirt and pulled out a piece of paper. "Let's see here my first match in this Tournament is against Kayla Kirisa." She said herself. "Well, I hope to have a great match with her." She added with a sparkle in her eye awaiting her opponent.

Kayla couldn't really believe it. At first, she'd thought it was some kind of joke. But then when it turned out it wasn't she was even more surprised. Her, in a tournament for the Friction belt? Dreams of her with the belt had filled her head all night. But then today had come, and she was quite nervous. She didn't know if she could do it, but she was certainly going to try. Taking a deep breath, she'd start her way down the ramp as her music played, doing her best to look confident.

When she got into the ring, she'd look to her opponent. Her face would turn quite red as she looked over Athena. But she'd shake her head, quickly. She had to focus! She couldn't be dreaming about things like that right now. "Hello. I'm Kayla. You must be Athena, my opponent." She'd hold out her hand, giving an uncertain smile. "Lets have a good match."

Athena watched Kayla as she made her way down and when she came into the ring Athena approached her with a smile. "Nice to meet you Kayla and you got it I'm Athena your opponent." She said shaking Kayla's hand tightly.

"Yes, I'm sure we'll have a great match." Athena added letting go of Kayla's hand and stepped back a bit. "Let's get started shall we?" Athena said with her smile vanishing.

If she was quick enough Athena would try to trap Kayla into a headlock to start things off.

Kayla was a bit too tense to fall for such a move so early on. She'd slip out of Athena's grasp, quickly moving to try and slip behind her. But rather than go for a hold, Kayla would grab ahold of Athena's shoulders before jumping off the ground, aiming to drop kick her forward and let go, having held her to try and keep her from avoiding the attack.

Athena's headlock was avoided and while she was recovering from the fact of it, she then felt Kayla's hands grab onto her shoulders from behind followed by a drop kick that sent Athena rolling foward. Athena was able to rebound from the attack and got some space between them.

"Nice, I didn't think you'd be an easy opponent Kayla." Athena said with a smile, being the only one who knows why she tried to throw an easy move out at the start of the match. She was testing her speed.

Athena jumped up and slapped her face. "Ok then lets get started for real here Kayla." She added.

Kayla would nod, wanting to really get this match underway. She wanted to test her opponent as well, but it would be better if she could just beat her. Kayla would slowly move towards Athena, being cautious as she does so. And then she'd suddenly rush forward, swining her arm outwards as if she was going for a clothesline. But she was aiming to fake her opponent out, hoping to slip behind her, aiming to grab her into a german suplex and send her crashing down onto the mat, releasing her and getting to her feet to see just how effective the move had been. That is, if she could pull it off.

Athena watched Kayla as she moved slowly towards her and was taken by surprise when her opponent came rushing. Athena prepared herself for the clothesline, but again was taken by surprise when Kayla slide behind her and felt her wrapping her arms around her waist.

She knew what Kayla was planning which was a german suplex. She threw her elbow back hoping to strike Kayla in the head to stop her from connecting with the suplex.

Kayla almost thought she was going to manage to get the upperhand. When she got behind Athena, she'd smile, grabbing ahold of her tightly by the waist. But it was short lived. The elbow struck home, causing Kayla to cry out, releasing the other girl as she moved backwards, holding onto her forehead.

After she felt her elbow connect with Kayla's head, Athena stepped forward abit, then turned and ran at Kayla jumping in the air grabbing onto one of Kayla's arms and swinging her legs upwards hoping to get a tight headscissors on her and if she could do so she would take Kayla down to the ground.
