Chuang Lingxian vs Catelyn Cormac - CVC

In any fight there was going to be the inevitable situation of getting knocked on your ass, Chuang learned that at a young age to be certain. But it was going to take much more than that to keep the Chinese Warrior down, his youthful enthusiasm combined with his training meant that though he lacked in-ring experience he made up for it in other aspects. Though it wasn't looking good right now given his momentum had derailed given his opponent flipped him about.

Catelyn seemed to be attempting to capitalise on her situation, proceeding to grab Chuang and hoisting him back onto his feet. Which actually served to be in the favour of Mr Lingxian, because he preferred fighting vertical anyway. In Beijing you needed to be upright otherwise you were losing, but the redhead was going to give out some shots of her own.

"Touf! Augh! Ghn..." Chuang grunted out as Cat swung at his head twice, some spittle flying out the side of his mouth. With the Irish-American ending with a jab in his belly, this wasn't the first slugfest that Chuang was in. Fact he preferred this situation, still Cat could lay the hurt with the Chinese young man taking a couple of steps back. Before suddenly bursting into a spinning blur of emerald green with Chuang swinging right at Cat with a hard spinning backfist to the chin to send her reeling back, when it came to striking Chuang could easily hold his own in this regard and would intend to punish his opponent for her mistake!

Catelyn came in with her barrage of punches which without a doubt was doing some rather goo amount of damage on the emerald clad warrior who was currently on the defensive but after the green haired guy staggered back the redhead saw him spin around like that...Catelyn was pretty familiar with that move as she'd used it quite often herself.

That spinning backfist was coming right at the redhead and she would attempt to duck down below the hit and push forward, looking to try and wrap her arms tightly around Chuang's body as he twisted around like that, if she could do so she'd attempt and lift him up off of his feet and throw them backwards in an attempt to hit the emerald warrior with a nasty belly to side suplex!

For a second Chuang was thinking himself back to Beijing, getting punched had an odd way of bringing nostalgia to you it seemed. The young man was thinking that if he could get going in this exchange he'd be able to bring the pain right to Catelyn, after all Chuang spent years of being in this scrappy sort of fighting situation. One good hit was just the thing the Chinese warrior would need and this thing would surely be turned around, given his prowess in striking that had been displayed in the opening of this bout.

Only Chuang felt his hand hadn't connected with Ms Cormac, and in that split second he knew he was in deep shit. That move had left him at risk, it didn't seem to pay off in this exchange. Cat had rushed in close, and prepared to attempt another grapple based move. Catelyn was just quicker on the mark there, though Chuang would at least try to fire out one last shot. More out of desperation than anything.

Though Chuang would hit the canvas with that hard suplex, this hadn't been the first time the warrior had been thrown around. Though it was often not done with skill like that, after hitting the mat Chuang groaned out and moved to rub his injured area briefly. "D-damn....." Chuang muttered, perhaps a change in tactics was needed. If such a chance to do so appeared of course.

Catelyn was on fire right now, burning with the will to keep going and ramp up the pace of this match more and more. She would proceed to move up towards her feet after she had thrown Chuang down hard upon the mat with that belly to side suplex. Looking to bounce a bit on her feet as she'd try and then bend down and try take a hold of Chuang by his dominant arm.

She was looking to pull him up to his feet so that they were facing each other, all so she could attempt and send a hard knee up into his gut to stun him and then attempt to put his head in under her right arm pit, moving her left hand down to grab at his hip before trying to lift Chuang up into the air and then try to throw him backwards with a vertical suplex!

Chuang wasn't liking how this was going, granted this wasn't the first time he'd been tossed around. But damn it rattled him inside just a bit everytime, on the outside looking in it seemed that Chuang was on the ropes so to say. And that'd be true, at the start he'd been on fire. Now it seemed he'd just given it to Catelyn when no one was looking, the young man had gritted his teeth. He wasn't prepared to quit just yet, it wasn't in his nature to just lay down. Chuang's rents raised him not to be like that after all.

The Chinese warrior didn't resist when Catelyn grabbed his right arm, he knew that she had no good intentions with anything that came from this. Chuang promptly proceeded to move up, but his opponent shot out a knee into his gut. He grunted in response to this, on instinct Chuang tensed up to endure the hit better. Again when it came to striking Mr Lingxian knew how to take it at least.

As Catelyn moved him closer sticking his head under her arm Chuang knew he needed to do something, otherwise chances were he'd get slammed again. Before Ms Cormac could grab his hip Chuang would grit his teeth and proceed to step forward while using his arms to grab at Catelyn's legs, and then trying to use this momentum and his upper body strength to fling her right over him and send her landing hard on her back! Wasn't the fanciest move but Chuang knew he needed to do something to stop Catelyn's momentum.

Catelyn was trying her hardest to keep her control going over Chuang, just a little bit longer and she would be able to slam him down hard onto the mat yet again. However it seemed as if she wasn't that lucky, despite her knee hitting home and her locking him up was working pretty well for that frontal face lock...she suffered a drawback when she reached for his hip.

As he pushed forward Chuang managed to unsettle Catelyn's stance and her arm that was going for his hip instinctively pulled back to try and help balance herself. Her bare thighs were grabbed by his strong hands and before the Irish-American knew it, she was hoisted up and thrown over him...crashing down on her back as her body flopped once from the impact.

" Kuh!"

Chuang was used to being in a fight thanks to his background, but when it came to wrestling he was still relatively green. Grappling was something he was looking to learn more of, as this match was proof that sooner or later you had to deal with it. So it was good that the Chinese warrior had learned an escape plan or two, it wasn't the fanciest or cleanest of counters unlike how perhaps his girlfriend Mikoto would have handled it. But Chuang was pragmatic enough to at least be thankful for the opportunity.

Once the Chinese warrior flipped Catelyn over his shoulders he stumbled forward a bit awkwardly but managed to avoid toppling to the mat, Chuang would stand up and turn to see where the red head landed. He gave a slight sigh of relief and rubbed his hair, Chuang felt the numbing pain of those hits. That was common when there was a lull in the fight, though he ignored it for now. But he'd probably not be able to later if he kept getting tossed around, time to try and capitalise on what he had.

Grunting as he moved Chuang would move towards the ropes at Catelyn's left, where he would then rebound off them and rush right at the downed Irish-American. Leaping into the air thereafter to try and slam his dropped elbow down on Cat's solar plexus!

Catelyn was currently down on her back, having  rolled a bit before she settled there and would spread her arms and legs, shaking her head a bit. It was clear to her that this Chaung was not an easy person to fight, in fact her was proving to be rather difficult. Though didn't that just make it all the more fun ? What joy was there if not for the fact that one got to compete on a stage such as this, that was the reason she had come back to AFW.

She would try and push herself up, though as she did she was instead met with a hard elbow right in underneath her impressive chest. Flattening her down against the mat and causing the redheaded Irish American to gasp out in pain, coughing out as she quickly brought her arms up to hug her chest and roll to the side, shaking her head a bit.

Chuang certainly knew his way in a fight, as evident from his built frame. Being the optimist that he was Chuang was confident in his ability to move from street fights in Beijing to a wrestling ring in Japan, what he lacked in wrestling experience could be supplemented by his natural fighting talent and his can-do attitude. And Cat was getting this shown to her when Chuang dropped the elbow on the redhead, the Chinese warrior was feeling that had been the comeback he needed.

He lay on his side after hitting that elbow, taking a moment to take a deep sigh and wipe some sweat off the brow. Catelyn could certainly hit hard and throw folk around, where was she when Chuang was growing up back home? Chuang was kinda surprised he hadn't heard about this gal before.

Still Chuang prepared to get back up, wincing a little at a niggling pain in his back. It was nothing he couldn't take though, the Chinese warrior would get near Catelyn and try to prep her so that she was sitting upright and he was behind her. So that Chuang could start drilling her shoulders and the back of the neck with some more hard elbows. Usually the young man preferred his fists, but if it worked the first time stick with it as they said.

Catelyn was soon enough pulled up onto a seated position, she groaned out a bit as she was put into a position for the Chinese warrior to start and lay the pain down upon her, and it seemed as if he wasn't planning on giving her any chance to recover. As soon enough the Irish-American wrestler started to feel elbow after elbow down onto her neck and shoulders, as Chaung simply started to hammer them down onto her. 

" Agh! Ngh! Gkh!" The redhead winced out, her feet kicking against the mat as she tried to bare with the pain, her arms looking to come up and swing some wild elbows back towards Chuang's frame and attempt to get him to back off from her!
