Georgia Flynn debut - vs. Abattoir

The running knee was basically a meteor impact. It'd changed the entire course of matches before, and Abattoir tended to throw it out anytime she wanted a major lead early on.

It had to connect in order to do that, though, and as she was on her way back from the ropes, it became quickly obvious that her opponent was back on her feet and none of her hopes would be realized. The spinning calf kick came out fast, too fast to dodge with the momentum she had going, and the nak muay took it right on the chest. Abattoir's boots left the mat, and her momentum actually carried her a few feet forward in midair before she landed with a crash. "Not bad technique on that kick," her brain noted, somewhere under the blurry haze of "KILL KILL KILL KILL".

Yay! Her first calf kick in AFW! Back home, that had been her go to counter to the various running moves against her, and it worked more often than not. Being able to pull that off in the big leagues though, felt amazing!

Pushing herself back up to her feet, she raised her arm up, giving a classic "V for Victory" sign and giving her butt a little smack.

"See this cute butt masked girl? It's cuter then yours is, and its gonna kick yours too!"

She yelled, still brimming with confidence as she walked over and pulled Abattoir to her feet, pointing at the turnbuckle and trying to Irish Whip the muk nay into the turnbuckle.

Probably should've picked the shot more carefully. A headkick would've accomplished the same thing without giving the other girl time to get up. Habits died hard, Abattoir supposed.

Georgia's taunt got absolutely no response - total silence and a dead-eyed stare, accompanied by the steady scramble of Abattoir getting back to her feet. Clearly her opponent was happy to help her up, though, because a moment later she was all the way up, and sent into the corner. It was a nice forceful Irish whip, and made the nak muay bounce slightly off the turnbuckle, but she grabbed the top ropes and managed to stay in place.

Okay. There was usually a followup after these. Abattoir waited, eyes locked on Georgia, and this time she was going to pick her shot just right.

Georgia was indeed quick to follow up, charging towards the corner, leaping off the mat when she was halfway there and trying to land a stinger splash on Abattoirs chest!

"Incoming!"

Time seemed to slow down for a moment.

Abattoir had been biding her time, and as Georgia leapt into the air, arms spread-eagle and clearly moving in for a huge splash in the corner, the nak muay shot forward. Rather than dodge, she met her opponent head-on, throwing a huge, arcing clothesline aimed right at Georgia's chest and collarbone. It was risky, and seemed like she was just pitting momentum against momentum, but in reality she was trying to counter the splash by slamming the other girl down in an STO from the corner!

It probably would've been easier to just get both boots up and try to kick her, but higher risk meant higher reward, and Abattoir was all about riding the lightning.

Wait...what happened?

Somehow, Georgia's big stinger splash, the one she was sure would leave Abattoir stunned in the corner and ripe for Dragon Suplex, the best suplex, when the masked woman met her halfway and suddenly Georgia found herself down on the mat, a loud and painful throbbing coming from the back of her head

"Owwwww....what....what the fuuuuck..."


She groaned, rubbing the back of her head and rolling onto her side, the entire tide of the match turned against her.

Abattoir was probably going to have to pay Samoa Joe royalties for that corner STO. Oh well. It wasn't like she was using her pay for anything important.

They bounced as they hit the mat - always a good sign, when it came to impact - and Abattoir popped up as Georgia rolled over onto her side to recover. The nak muay remembered to be situationally aware and checked how close they were to the ropes. Too close. She gave Georgia some help, pushing at her side to roll her all the way into the center, and dropped across her in a lateral press. Her arms pinned the outside wrist down, trying to make it harder for the other girl to kick out. Had to stack the deck as much as possible after a high-impact move like that.

The ref girl was on-point, thankfully, and immediately dropped to start counting. "One!"

Georgia couldn't read Abattoir's thoughts, and if she could, she didn't know who Samoa Joe was...but whoever he was, he was a jerk for inventing that move.

That was the closest thing that could pass for a thought in Georgia's brain as she was rolled away from the ropes. That, and "Owwwwwwwwwwwwwww...", which was less than helpful when it came to using the thinky-thinky parts.

"TWO!"

The ref yelled, hitting the mat a second time, Georgia groaning again, her head just throbbing in response.

Before the third count though, she would throw her arm up, just enough to get her shoulder off the mat and break the count off instinct!

The next second would tell her a lot about her opponent.  That'd been an abrupt, serious blow, and quite a few people would simply accept their fate and be content to curl inward and forget about the match in favor of writhing in pain.  Those people would be the first against the wall when the day finally came.  In the meantime, Abattoir was here to draw forth their inner strength, to make wolves out of the sheep.  Sometimes it involved a lot of kneeing in the head, but hey, some people learn to swim the easiest by falling in the deep end of the pool.

To her pleasant surprise, the pin was broken up at the last instant when Georgia popped a shoulder up.  

Abattoir grinned under her mask, and rather than follow up, she rolled lazily off of the other girl and gripped the ropes, pulling herself upright like Nosferatu in his coffin. After circling for a moment, she paused in a neutral corner and struck a rather dramatic jod muay stance, waiting for Georgia to get up.

"Good."  It was a single word, not particularly complex, but the inscrutable tone seemed to carry a hint of approval.

Georgia wasn't entirely certain how she managed to kick out of that, and her head was still throbbing, but through luck or instinct she broke the pin and rolled away, all the way under the ropes and outside the ring, slipping off the apron onto her feet.

Now outside the ring, and more importantly, with distance between her and Abattoir, Georgia shook her head, panting, trying to calm down and get re focused...just as soon as her head stopped feeling fuzzy.
