Hyacinth vs Abattoir - Sudden Impact
Somebody (probably a coffee cup) had said once that we all encounter adversity, but how we respond to it is what separates the truly successful from everybody else. Abattoir, not one for talking much and definitely not one for philosophy, would have sneered at the statement, but at its core was solid reasoning. Evolution, really. You get knocked down, you get back up and you learn to watch for whatever knocked you down.
Ever since Lucky Uchida had spoiled her debut, Abattoir had been hitting the gym and working on everything but her greatest strength. She'd grabbed several of AFW's trainers and put herself through a grueling regimen designed to get her grappling up to something at least resembling passable, and with the weeks that had passed, there had been some improvement. She wasn't going to win any awards for chain-wrestling, but hopefully the days of being instantly outclassed like she'd been against Lucky were at an end.
Of course, none of this mattered, because the brass had seen fit to pair her up with strikers for her next couple matches, apparently. Go figure. She wasn't exactly displeased (being well-rounded was an advantage, after all), but that was impossible to tell as she made her way down the ramp, music blaring and lights low, with a murderous dead-eyed stare. The crowd booed loudly, a little less apathetic about her now that they'd seen her in action, and Abattoir mean-mugged them in response. No need to play up the villainous stuff; she was just a naturally unpleasant person. Sometimes it was an advantage.
The nak muay slid under the ropes and tossed off her coat, then took a second to adjust her mask's straps. Nice and tight. Excellent. She bounced in place in the corner, shadowboxing for a second, and awaited the arrival of the mysterious 'Hyacinth' they'd told her she was up against.
Alright. Lessons had been learned. This time, things would go differently.

Re: Hyacinth vs Abattoir - Sudden Impact
Hyacinth bounced around in her room. She was going up against a new heel who was known for using dirty tricks, but that wasn't going to stop her from trying to win, even if this meant she would have a new rival. A knock on the door was heard and her music began to play, she gave her own ass a quick spank before heading out to the ring, posing with her ass to the ring. She ran her hands over her body before grinning, taunting her opponent with a few dance moves. She then gave her attention to the fans again, hugging and kissing fans. She climbed onto the ropes and lay on the second one, pointing the camera to her ass. Once the camera was on her ass, she began to wiggle it around, continuing to taunt her opponent. She then climbed into the ring and pranced around before turning to her opponent and blowing her a kiss and winking, licking her lips and and biting her bottom lip. She then went to her corner so the ref could check her for weapons.

Re: Hyacinth vs Abattoir - Sudden Impact
....Styx had told her there'd be days like this.
Abattoir blinked, one eyebrow slightly raised, and looked almost comically bewildered as Hyacinth pranced down the aisle, dragged her ass over the second rope for the camera's benefit, and then gyrated her way to the corner. Well, that was...different. She'd been warned a few times about a large portion of the roster being glorified eye candy, but seeing it in action, well. Yeah. Not that she was going to let that color her estimation of her opponent's abilities before they'd even started, mind you. Hell, for all she knew, it was just an act, a way to get people to lower their guard and underestimate Hyacinth. Only one way to find out.
As the ref came over and checked her for foreign objects, she stared, red-eyed and with practiced intensity, over her gas mask and did her best to mean-mug the living daylights out of her opponent. At last, the check complete, the referee stepped back and motioned for the bell. One ring later, it was on.
No messing around this time, no circling, no indy standoffs. Abattoir was primed and ready, and the instant she heard the bell she launched herself forward, charging towards Hyacinth with a clothesline.

Re: Hyacinth vs Abattoir - Sudden Impact
Hyacinth went from smiling and winking at her opponent to laying on her back after the clothesline. Her jaw and neck hurt as well as her back. She slowly began to rise to her feet, getting to her hands and knees and grabbing onto the ropes to steady herself as she stood. Once on her feet, she would turn to face her opponent.

Re: Hyacinth vs Abattoir - Sudden Impact
((Shoutouts to Edmund for being super patient with this while I was sick, and also reminding me it existed after I forgot cause I'm a doofus))
It was a hundred miles an hour, right off the bat. Abattoir had landed the clothesline, getting the match off to an advantageous start, and now she intended to hold onto that advantage for all she was worth.
She whirled in place as Hyacinth started to rise, and then pounced - the other girl turned around straight into an attempt at a headlock. It was mostly an effort at controlling the pace early on. If she could really sink in the hold, perhaps she could prevent her opponent from building the momentum that both of them seemed to rely on so much.
