Aquatic Circus: Tessa "Blue" Malore VS Bethany "Circus Babe" Maroza

Ever the learning sort, the plucky young rookie wrestler was practising simple meditation in her dressing room, complete unsure if she were actually murmuring "Oohmm" correctly, as she sat with crossed legs and closed eyes.

"Just a minute!" she'd respond to the knock on her door, signalling that it was time, as she rolled backwards and got to her feet. Make-up already applied, she'd throw on her robe, adjusting her skull decoration neatly on her head, as she'd near literally hop out of the door. She wasn't completely sure how to feel as she paraded down to the entrance ramp; generally she'd had mixed success in AFW, and simply wanted a memorable match under her belt.

Walking slowly down the entrance ramp to "Mirrors," Tessa would throw off her robe halfway, amidst a mix of waves and hellos to the crowd, exposing her tight wrestling bikini underneath. She was unusually interactive with the crowd today; the norm for Tessa was nothing more than a few smiles and winks, nothing of effort, as the plucky girl arrived ringside. Removing her signature helmet, she'd quickly roll under the ropes, before pacing the ring back and forth in a quick sprint.

She'd heard a little about Bethany; a quick summary would be that Tessa simply had to be at her best, both at her mindset and with her reflexes, if she was to catch this quick little lady that she were about to tussle with.

Bethany had come to Japan quite a while, and to be honest she had been considering going back to her circus. Granted the reason she had come to Friction and Tension was to promote her circus and it's franchise, but the higher ups had all but forgotten about her. This week had planned to be the last one, but at the start of it she suddenly got a match offer. Ms Maroza accepted it in an instant, some chick by the time of Tessa or whatever. Didn't matter, what mattered was that Bethany did what she did best. Put on a show and wow the crowd, that was how money got made in the circus after all.



Bethany looked herself over in the mirror, her ringmaster jacket with white corset and bra. Topped off with a midnight black skirt that was see through at the bottom and black stockings and ballet flats, the girl then applied her makeup. Every part of the attire had to be eye catching to attain the maximum amount of attention from the crowd, Bethany had those pre performance butterflies in her belly of course. Wrestling was a new venture for her, but one that was going to be taken with the same amount of confidence that Bethany always had prior to any performance.

She made her way to the entrance, it was going to be her cue. The crowd could be heard, they wouldn't have to wait long. On her way out Bethany had brought some tools with her, for her entrance. That was the important thing after all.

Then it was time for the call, the song that Bethany had picked out for her entrance known as Carnivool blared from the speakers. The circus girl emerged from the curtain, with the ringmaster whip in hand and a top hat adorning her noggin. Bethany took a bow to the audience with practised movements, each step down to the ring designed to get the crowd interested. Just the right amount of sway and bounce to entice them, a light crack of the whip to go with that too.

Once the circus girl reached her corner she set her hat and whip below the bottom turnbuckle and then went to the apron, where Bethany raised her right leg up and gently settled down into the splits. Bethany looked down and then jerked her head up and ran her hands down her lush black hair, perfect. Beth was already having the crowd eating out the palm of her hand.

The circus girl then entered the ring and nodded at Tessa before moving to her corner and taking off her ringmaster jacket, setting it on the iron pole before turning to face her opponent and give a dramatic bow while stating "Well hello! The name's Bethany Maroza, you get to be my lucky volunteer for this performance~" the theatrics was the important part here. All about setting up from the start.

Tessa was almost mesmerized as her foe made her entrance. Sure, every woman in AFW had their 'gimmicks' as it were. But this were something else. Even Tessa couldn't help but feel as if she were following an act, her eyes consistently on the woman  as she'd woo the crowd, before  performing another little 'act' as it were in the corner.

She'd nod back, purely out of instinct, and kindess, as her eyes simply followed the girl as she layed her clothes in the corner, as if it were her wardrobe. Turning and bowing, Tessa couldn't help but smile, both at the cuteness of it all and the fact that she herself, was about to be apart of the act.

Covering her mouth, she'd let off a high pitched glee, like a excited schoolgirl, before stepping forward. Her mind receding to that of a child's, she held out her hand.

"I'm Blue!" she'd mutter, before choking up a little at her embarrassment. Yes, 'Blue' was her nickname, but out of context, it was definitely a odd intro. "I mean er...Tessa! I'm Tessa Malore!" she'd say, more confidently, but almost appearing as if she had forgotten her own name.

Bethany was loving this, she already had the crowd eating out the palm of her hand and it seemed like her opponent was near doing so too. Theatrics was a big part of wrestling as much as most people denied it, the former of which Beth was very good at. All those actions had been taken to get the people watching, and thanks to social media it could lead to more followers and thus more promotion for her circus.

Though of course the circus girl was going to need to show her ability to fight, she was no stranger to the odd tussle growing up. Her years of acrobat training would come to play here, allowing her to perform impressive attacks that could leave the opponent knocked silly. In this match Bethany was going to play up her abilities in ring, which was why she had left most of her props and tricks backstage.

"Now then my dear~....." Bethany said with a flourish of her right hand, from up high and then waved down low. The bell rung and the circus girl stated "The show is ready to begin~" with a smile on her lips. Now Bethany wasn't going to break out the best stuff right away, it was best when there was enough build up. So for now the young girl was going to try and circle Tessa, to get a chance to size her up her so called volunteer.......

Where as Bethany seemed focused on her career and the impact of wrestling on it as a whole, possibly setting herself up for life, Tessa was simply in it for the thrill and excitement. Saying that, whilst she wrestled purely for enjoyment, it was not rare for the girl to become over-heated; growing agitated when she was outmanoeuvred, or lost when she felt the win was rightfully hers. Hopefully, she'd keep her temper under control, as Bethany seemed the likeable sort that Tessa could easily bond with. Being memorized by the girls flair only proved this point, as Tessa had seemingly become a temporary fan girl of the circus performer.

In terms of looking up her opponent before hand, Tessa again seemed to have 'skipped class' as it were. The only notable fact she bothered to learn, was that Bethany simply had the speed in her matches. Catching her would be tough, but hopefully, using her technical move set, Tessa would be able to slow her down. IF she ever got ahold of her.

Stepping forward, again smiling at Bethany's flair, Tessa brought up her hands, circling her foe, bouncing on her toes, ready to begin.

Bethany wanted to see what she could do here, to see how well her acrobatics was going to fare in a proper battle. Her speed was going to be instrumental here, maybe do some hit and run attacks before setting Tessa up for a grand finale. It was always easier said than done however, no matter. Growing up Bethany was no stranger to putting in the hard work, wowing the crowd couldn't be done by sitting about with your thumb up your ass after all.

It seemed that Tessa was a bit wary about getting close to the circus girl, understandable considering the charisma Bethany possessed. It could make one a bit hesitant due to how one carried themselves, and as usual Ms Maroza exuded confidence. As evidenced by her small smirk and hands on her hips.

So Bethany decided to start the ball rolling here, the circus girl would quickly run to the ropes behind her and bounce off of them. Using her impressive speed Bethany hoped to take Tessa by surprise on the rebound with a spin and into a leaping butterfly kick!

Tessa continued her bounce, not letting her feet stay on the ground too long, for fear that her remaining stationary even for a moment would give Bethany an edge, even a tiny one. Wiping the mesmerizing performance from her mind, she'd have plenty of time to talk pleasantries with the sweet seemingly girl when all the violence was over.

Sure enough, Bethany decided to kick things off, spryly it seemed, bouncing off the ropes behind her. Her action seemed sorta predictable in a way; just a quick glance at the girl told you she wasn't the test of strength or tie-up clinch sort.

Leaping at Tessa, the plucky buxom girls eyes went huge, a mixture of fear and amazement at the girls agility, before she'd fall to the mat as quickly as she could, hugging it whilst hopefully Bethany flew over her!

Bethany knew the attack just missed, the clear lack of her foot clashing into the cheek of Tessa. The move still looked very impressive however, and the crowd did express some awe at the acrobatics the circus girl displayed. This was practised over the course of months, going through the motions so to say. But as good as it was Bethany knew that her attack failed to connect, and she quickly landed on her feet after finishing her kick.

Tessa had fallen to the mat to dodge, that was the only way she really could have aside from trying to counter via grabbing a leg. And Bethany had quickly realised this, and in response the circus girl quickly cartwheeled over the opponent. To again display the prowess that Ms Maroza did so well, after doing this Bethany did a small bow. Before getting back into her stance and preparing to get back into it, there hadn't been an attack connected yet. But Bethany liked to believe that her move helped set the tone here, and what she hoped to do in this attack.

Falling to the mat, the look in Tessa's eyes suggested a near death experience! Whilst most certainly not a life threatening kick, as it were, the acrobatics and finesse Bethany put into the move suggested it would of sent Tessa down to the mat with little difficulty. Lucky she fell on her ass, so to speak then.

Pushing herself up, she'd find the girl cartwheeling over her as she got to all fours, her mouth going wide and eyes going to the girl, utterly impressed at the girls agility and form.

Standing up, once again resuming a stance, a fact became painfully obvious to the buxom girl. She was never going to catch this girl. Not unless Bethany screwed up. No, she'd have to take a hit, probably a big one, brace, and catch her light foe.

Bethany loved it when people had those looks on, those of shock and awe. Usually it was when the girl performed death defying moves back home, when even she doubted if she could pull them off. But that was never followed with hesitation, that always led to failure. The circus girl had put her hands on her hips and moved a little from side to side, taking the brief chance to bask in the adoration just a bit more. That's what she loved about her work after all.

Still the first move failed, and now Beth was wanting to maybe get the ball rolling again. And the show on the road of course, with that in mind she defaulted on what she was good at. Ms Maroza suddenly got into a sort of martial art stance. not that she actually had any formal training aside from years of acrobat practise. The circus girl took a few steps back and then suddenly moved forward, to perform a handstand as she made her way to Tessa. In the hopes of cinching her legs around her opponent's neck and try a hurricarana attack! Still those sort of moves were high risk/reward, perhaps it was because Bethany was just used to it over the years.
