Debut match Rio Banks vs Kanga (Complete)

After completing what she had planned, Rio had to think ahead as she got back to her feet. She turned to Kanga and saw that she was trying to get herself away from Rio and she acted fast to try to keep her momentum. Rio quickly made her way to Kanga and dove for her leg. She planned to take Kanga's leg put her into an ankle lock with her own legs scissored around it.

"Get back here!" She called out as she made her move to get Kanga into her submission hold.

rio was quite relentless in pursuing her opponent and it looked like she wasn't going to stop until he wins. Kanga was okay with that though she had her leg grabbed. "Let go of me, sheila!" she cried out as she tried to kick her other leg to get Rio away either at the grasping arm or the scissoring leg.

If this worked, she may be able to get back up and continue. But if Rio proceeded with the submission, she would try to crawl her way to the ropes.

Rio didn't want to lose the chance to apply the submission hold, but she didn't like the idea of being kicked while doing it. Kanga's kick hit Rio's right arm and she quickly let go with that arm. Rio grunted in pain when her arm was kicked. Thinking before she lost her grip with her left arm that was around her leg, Rio used her arm to wrap Kanga's leg tighter and dropped back on her back as she tried to do a foot ddt to damage her leg or at least pull some muscles in the process.

Rio managed to get a good hold on Kanga's leg in spite of her kicking and she was able to drop back to do a DDT to that leg. "GAAAH!!" Kanga exclaimed in pain as that leg just wouldn't be left alone. It might have pulled a few muscles in it, but Kanga wasn't going down so easily. She would try to kick at Rio again with her own leg and push herself backwards as she says, "That ain't gonna stop me now."

After the DDT, Rio released Kanga's leg and rolled backwards and got to her feet. Kanga almost had Rio with the sudden kick and Rio made a mental note to watch for those. Looking up she judged Kanga's position in relation to the closest rope and made her move. She would make a run for the ropes and past Kanga to get ready for her next attack. Unless Kanga did something to interfere with her plan, Rio would make it to the ropes and jump over them and stand on the outside apron. From there she would hold onto the ropes and prepare for a springboard shoulder-block.

Kanga managed to finally stand up and relax her targeted leg from the hold and drop. She can't let anything slow her down, she had to keep moving in order to stay in the fight. When she saw Rio run past her just to jump over the ropes to get outside, Kanga was a little confused. Why would Rio stay out there when the fight is still in the ring?

Kanga would then have an idea of what to do next and she readied herself in her fighting stance. She bounced again to make her way to Rio, but once close enough, she attempted to duck and give her a quick double punch to the stomach. If she can pull this off before the shoulder tackle, Kanga would also grab a hold of Rio's arms and flipped her over the ropes to slam her back into the ring.

Rio watched Kanga rise and jumped onto the third rope and jumped off toward her with the tackle. In hindsight Rio may have jumped at the wrong time as she rushed the move. Her height was also a problem as if timed correctly one could duck under her or simply to the side before being struck.

Rio knew if she missed there was no real way to absorb her fall and would just have to recover quickly before Kanga could change the tide of the match.

Kanga managed to get Rio back into the ring while causing some damage. That was quite a close call, but she managed to make it (barely). From here, the Australian had to make the most of her newfound lead.

Now, she would try to sit herself on top of Rio's stomach and start throwing some punches to the face. A little ground and pound should keep her opponent at bay.

Rio missed her target and hit the mat with a thud. She didn't really hit the mat hard and was prepared to get back into the fight, but it seemed that Kanga was one step ahead as she mounted Rio's stomach. Seeing that Kanga was cocking an arm back, Rio put her arms up in defense as Kanga had started raining down punches on her.

Rio did her best to absorb the punches and knew that if she stayed there too long the damage would soon wear her down. Rolling her head to the side to protect her visible eye Rio looked up at Kanga through her eyepatch. Sure she couldn't really see through it, but with Kanga sitting on top of her she knew exactly where she was. Rio watched and tried to attack the moment Kanga did and used her signature.

"Gae Bolg!" Rio shouted as she threw her punch at Kanga's heart. Rio's Gae Bolg was a modified one inch punch aimed at one's heart. At this moment it was being used out of desperation and under unfamiliar circumstances. This move was meant to be done in a standing position or even on her knees and without being able to put her body into the move Rio knew even if the punch connected the power would be would be much weaker.

Kanga felt that the match was starting to lean over to her side now and she didn't want to let up. With all her punches raining down on Rio, there's no telling when she would stop. But suddenly, she would feel a firm hit landing at the left area of her chest where the heart is. "UGH!!!" Kanga cried out as she felt the hit and quickly got off of her in result.

Kanga checked her heart to see if she was okay while breathing in and out as a way to calm herself from the shock. While backing away, she would say, "Blimey! Was that a one-inch punch? I have never seen that in a long time!"
