In hindsight, Mako should've seen this shit coming. Of course Amy would stick her nose in once her little boytoy was in real trouble. The bitch had this real annoying habit of interferring in Valkyrie business, and this just fit the pattern.

She managed to get free, but getting free from Amy and staying free from Amy were wildly different things. She wasn't able to get even a step away before she was yanked back in and reintroduced to the business end of the blonde's fist.

The blow rattled her jaw and made her stagger back, a nasty hit to take when she was at her best. But she'd been fighting Blaise for a good while, and even though she'd dominated, it had taken a toll. The hook she threw back at Amy didn't have quite the same energy as the punch she'd taken, and it was one of the better ones she could throw. Mako remembered how the last fight went. Less than 100% did not bode well for her.

She spared a quick glance up the ramp, before focusing on Amy and trying to step away from the righteous avenger. Mako needed backup. Now.

The audience is rallying behind Amy, granting her a true hero's welcome. It's hard to hear oneself even breathe under the crescendo of voices.

Blaise works a knee under himself and transitions slowly to a knelt position. From there, he slowly gathers himself to his feet. He swipes the backs of his hands at eyes and cheeks, clearing any proof of his insurmountable dread. But he can see it clearly now. Mako is retreating. Amy is on the offense. Blaise?

Blaise is so utterly confused and conflicted. He stands there like a deer in headlights, fixated on his rescuer who, just before, tore him down.

Mako hit back, and Amy took it full on in the face. The fist hit hard enough to draw out a hiss of pain from behind Amy’s teeth, and it hit hard enough to free Mako’s shirt from Amy’s grasp, but it didn’t hit hard enough to daze her. In fact, if she had to, Amy would have happily traded punches like Amy’s for punches like Mako’s until Mako had a permanent fist-shaped dent in her skull.

But she didn’t. Despite the adrenaline rapidly burning a path through her veins, when Mako scrambled a step out of reach, Amy let her go, choosing instead to cast a wary eye toward the referee in the ring. The referee hadn’t signalled for the bell yet, which was good, but she was watching the chaos unfold like a hawk; best not to push it.

Amy slowly took to her feet, keeping her body squarely between Mako and Blaise, but her eyes focused entirely on the dangerous woman in front. Maybe if she could get Blaise backstage, the ref would call a no contest, and no one would have to lose their job today. When Amy spoke, it was in a low, menacing growl. “Get back or get hurt, little girl. This fight is over; I’m so through playing with you.”

The referee just looked out on all the carnage unfolding outside of the ring, with her eyes wide and mouth open. Mako could guess why - the only way to win was by one of them saying 'I Quit', after all. The only way. in theory, it wouldn't matter if a meteor struck the arena and lit everyone on fire - the fight was on until the terms were satisfied. Amy's presence didn't change that.

And Mako was just fine with that. After all, Blaise wasn't the only one with backup. Even if her own was taking way too damn long...

She sat up and wiped the blood off her chin, glaring back at Amy. Mako shook her head and spat off to the side, staining the ring apron. "No, bitch," She pointed behind Amy. "It's over when I say it's over."

Stone and Divine finally worked their way through the crowd, clearing a path with a little help from security, clearing a path. They landed behind Amy, leaving her surrounded with Valkyries on all sides. Not the best place to be.

Divine rushed in, charging straight towards the bitchy blonde as fast as those lithe legs could carry. She got in close, then swung her leg up and high, trying to catch her with a quick roundhouse kick to the chest.

Blaise's head is spinning. He was on the verge of losing - not just a match, but everything. There's stiil a chance he's lost. Is the ref' about to DQ him? Is DQing a thing in this kind of match? He's on his feet now, but he's at a complete loss. A swirl of mixed emotions are running through his mind, leaving him to look after the apparently-retreating image of Mako with confusion, and then to his rescue, now interposed between them, with a similar level of uncertainty.

"Amy...?," he finally vocalizes, his voice every bit as small and puzzled as he feels. But there isn't even enough time to soak that in. The darker-skinned Valkyrie comes out of nowhere, rushing past him to spring at the blonde. "H-hey! Look out!" He even shambles forward, his gait impaired by the pain shooting through his body. There's no chance he'll be making it in time to intervene, between Divine's headstart and his sluggish movements.

Right. Like Amy was going to fall for the oldest…

But there was a tickle in the back of Amy's mind. There was never just the one Valkyrie, was there? Her anxiety grew with Blaise’s warning, which made Amy glance over her shoulder. Amy's breath caught in her throat. Of course. They traveled in threes.

Amy whirled the rest of the way around, just in time to catch a lighting fast shin across her chest. “Ahhh!” Amy cried out as she stumbled backwards, an arm draped over where she’d been struck. Things had gotten complicated in a hurry. She took an instant to glance from Stone- tall, strong, steady- to Divine- agile, precise, mobile; both fresh, both ready to fight- then finally to Blaise- hurt, tired, disoriented. The odds did not look good. She needed to prioritize, and she needed to fight smart; she knew that on some visceral level.

But, once the instant passed, her eyes picked up a furious glint. Divine didn’t seem like a particularly hardy fighter, but god damn did she know how to kick, and this was the third time that one of those had saved Mako from serious hurt. It was an annoying pattern, and Amy had had enough. The eyes fixed on the closest Valkryie for a pregnant second.

"Blaise, get backstage."

Then Amy lowered her head and charged, aiming her shoulder right at Divine’s gut, and resolving not to stop pushing until Divine was plastered all over the audience divider.

The crowd's boos were only interrupted by their collective gasps, as Divine's leg found a temporary home in the middle of Amy's chest. She was quite satisfied with the results, even if she was the only one in the room that felt that way. It had been far too long since she'd been allowed to get in with the physical side of things, and it was another step in stopping the idea that she wasn't up for the harder side of things and she wasn't just there to fuck with pretty boys like Yamato.

Getting slammedinto the barricade, however, did not help that idea. It enhanced it. Greatly. "Fuck!" She cried out as the hit the harsh metal and crowd started to clap away at their back, cheering and booing and yelling and saying things she couldn't even understand. She went down hard with a furious Amy on top of her, and that might've been enough to end the day in most circumstances.

But Stone was on the right after, slowly and surely coming up behind Amy. She'd regret what she was about to do, but that wouldn't stop her from doing it. This had gone on long enough.

"Come here, quit it." She grabbed at Amy from behind, trying to get her arms around the smaller blond to pick her up like a stuffed doll.

To say Blaise is out of commission might be a little bit of an overstatement - but only by the aforementioned little bit. His mind is catching up with what's happening, and though he still confused and hurt by Amy's previous actions, her demand for him to escape gets only a sour look.

"As if-," he starts, only for Amy to suddenly take off after her attacker, whom he hadn't even managed to grab onto.

Just as the mental wheels are turning, the third Valkyrie makes her presence known by grabbing for Amy. Of course Stone would be there. Why wouldn't she? A part of him hoped the loss she'd suffered by DQ would've been enough to get her to distance herself from the group, but no such luck. And if Mako continues to remain as vicious has been this match, he's willing to bet she about-faces and comes running back in for a three-on-two. Or a three-on-one, if Blaise does as Amy says.

Blaise staggers to the barricade several feet away from the trio of women, Mako left unaccounted-for. The audience is eager to receive him up close and personal, but his intentions aren't to fraternize; he points at an unoccupied folding chair. The zealous cluster of spectators are only too thrilled to fold it up and pass it over.

And then, Blaise begins his stalk towards Stone. The chair is hefted high overhead, ready to take a swing at the towering blonde's cranium. It's not unlike watching a live-action slasher flick, only if Jason Voorhees had gotten a serious ass-kicking before the setup.

Amy could tell, both from Divine’s distressed expletive and the sweet, sweet sound of ringing metal, that her little shoulder tackle did some fine work. It was lucky; with a handful of well-placed punches, she might be able to incapacitate Divine before the sexy biker could do any significant harm and perhaps even the playing field a bit.

But strong, steady arms came around from behind and wrapped her up, lifting Amy effortlessly off of Divine before she could get to putting her down. Amy's eyes grew wide with a wave of fresh fury as the distance between her and her prey grew. But, even through her ire, Amy had to admit; the Valkyries might be human trash, but they really had each others' backs.

Amy’s building wrath quickly changed targets, and getting her feet back on solid ground and feeding Stone her fist became her new goal. But when Stone spoke, it was with an utterly reasonable voice, like a world-weary schoolteacher separating two squabbling children. For the briefest instant, Amy even felt chastened.

Then, like a puff of smoke, the feeling passed, and her rage came back in full force. “Graahh! Fuck off!” She began to writhe and kick and throw elbows and otherwise communicate to Stone that perhaps holding Amy up was simply not a worthwhile endeavor.

Grabbing Amy and lifting her up, as it turned out, was no problem for Stone. it wasn't just a matter of her being strong - the cute little blonde didn't weigh all that much. She lifted far more all the time, so she was easily able to hold the weight tight in her grasp, lifting Amy's furious feet off the floor like a misbehaving child.

Keeping hold of Amy turned out to be a little more difficult, however. The little woman was beyond fiesty, and even with all her power and a solid grip, keeping her in check was becoming a losing proposition. Stone was taking elbows in the ribs and kicks on the shins, and she wound up with her backing away as she struggled to maintain the hold.

"Keep her still!" Divine moved in and darted left and right, trying to draw enough of a bead on Amy to hit her with another kick.

Meanwhile, Mako had been laying low, trying to get her breath back after all the insanity that had just gone down, but she was far from being out of the fight completely. She was still lucid enough to see Blaise coming up behind Stone, and still pissed enough to do something extremely violent about it.

She came up behind him as he went for the chair shot and jumped up, trying to grab hold of it and snatch it away from him. Whatever advantage he was trying to get, she'd gleefully snatch away.  Amy had made a decent little comeback, but the numbers were all on their side, and there was only one way for this to end.
