Blaise Cameron vs Amy Poford- A Fresh Start

Ahh, yes, that's the stuff. This was what she'd been missing all week, her fists in a face, or her fists in somebody's gut. She knew that it would be wise to switch up her attack patterns- throw some kicks in there, maybe a submission or two- but it was punching that really got her blood churning, that really made her feel like she was in a fight. So while she had her opponent reeling, Amy pressed on. With Blaise's abs now protected by his hands, Amy had to take a step back, her shoulder sliding along her opponent's chest until it broke contact with his body. Then Amy let fly an uppercut into Blaise's exposed chin, her eyes bright with excitement.

Blaise is ready this time!

His mind is, at least. When Amy pulls back, he's sure he knows where it's going. But his arms refuse to leave his midsection, caught in a moment of trying to decide which would be worse to be wrong about. And the moment her fist connects with his chin, he knows the answer. The punch is forceful enough to straighten the wrestler's spine, his head snapping back. For a moment, he just freezes in that position before staggering back several steps from her.

Blaise ends on the ropes mercifully, his right arm hanging over the top to keep his balance. His left fist rubs across his jaw, his eyes narrowing on her.

"Alright.. you had your fun." The hand moves from his chin to beckon her over. Should she follow along, he'll attempt to take her by surprise by twisting to the side and shoving her towards the ropes to trade places with her - only followed with a forearm blow aimed to land across her back or chest, depending on how she winds up.

Amy would have had to have been an idiot to have fallen for Blaise's taunt. Amy was quick- that's how she won her fights against bigger, stronger opponents like Blaise- and that meant she didn't have the luxury of allowing an opponent to dictate where she was, and when she was there. And Amy was no idiot. She was just hyped up.

So Amy ran headlong at Blaise, grinning madly, looking to shoot a knee up into his stomach, only to suddenly find her chest pressed up uncomfortably against the ropes. She grunted as she felt an arm club her back, but she reacted quickly, twisting her body around to the left, led by an elbow aimed wildly high.

Blaise smiles wickedly when that forearm smashes across the girl's back. Finally, time to light into her and take the momentum! He starts to hook his arms around her stomach from behind, but before he could follow through with his plans, she's spun an elbow back at him! It nails him directly on the brow, knocking him away from her again.

"Agh..!" A hand sets over the struck spot for a moment, his mind going fuzzy. But he scored a hit! All he can afford to think about right now is the follow-through! She doesn't have much of anywhere to run, what with the ropes right there, right? With his right hand still set to his brow, he springs forward again with a hammerblow from the left hand, swinging in to slam directly atop her blonde head.

Amy breathed in a sigh of relief when her elbow connected and ruined whatever Blaise was going to do with his arms wrapped around her middle. She was finding that she fared a lot better when things stayed topside- there wasn't a whole lot a light brawler like her could do against a series of slams and submissions.

Amy leaned against the ropes as Blaise leapt forward, an arm raised. She had the opportunity for escape, especially with his vision partially blocked by his right hand, but Amy wasn't about to let Blaise get a chance to rest. Once he was in range, she jumped up, her back rolling up over the top rope, and her feet shooting straight out toward Blaise's face, trying to use Blaise's own momentum to add some extra force to her kick.

It's been one blow after another landed on her slightly younger opponent, and this time it's quite possibly the hardest one. He was devoted to the attack, so those boots nail him in the face. His arm flies wild and his momentum is promptly halted, skewing his balance. The teen staggers back, heels scraping across the mat before he finally just loses his balance and lands on the mat.

There he lies, his hands resting over his face with a pained groan. Okay. This is starting to suck. She's been blitzing him from the beginning. He has to get it together. His mind is reeling, his face in a lot of pain... but at least the ache in his midsection has dulled. "Nng.." Blaise starts to squirm against the mat, one knee steepled to scoot the sole of his boot across the mat.

Finally; a knockdown. Amy took a moment to relish in his pained groans before bounding in after him. She rolled him over onto his belly, then grabbed his hair- his really nice hair. Had she told him yet? She was going to have to remember to compliment him on it. "How you doing, sport?" she'd ask, before hauling him up to his feet, looking to get things rolling again with a knee to his abdomen.

Blaise is easily coaxed over onto his front, a hand grabbing her by the wrist to lessen the pain shooting through his scalp. He lifts with her for the same reason, his gaze focusing on hers. He manages to grab for her shoulder, intent on likely manhandling her in some way or another. But that plan will have to remain obscure!

The girl's knee blasts into his toned abdominals, forcing his body to jolt briefly off his boots. "Augh!" His eyes squeeze shut, the hand moving from her shoulder to wrap his midsection protectively again. "D-.. doing.. fine..," he sputters, unable to force his eyes open again just yet. "Think you could..." Cough. "...lay off.. the hits..?"

His head lifts with some effort, forcing the increasing pain in his midsection out of his mind in favor of casting the blonde an impish smile. If she gives him enough time, he'll try to shove her back in hopes that she'll lose grip on his hair and allow him a little distance.

Amy smiled. See? He was doing just fine. But then Blaise made his request, and Amy was shaken and at a loss for words. Didn't he want her to go all out? Is that what he had asked for? She was still thinking about it when he pushed her away, dislodging her fingers from his hair. Amy took a moment to put herself in Blaise's tall, black-trimmed boots. Okay, so she's reeling from attack, she asks for reprieve... then there was that smile... It clicked, and Amy grinned. She put her hands up and started to bounce.

"Nice try, Blaise, but I invented the false sympathy schtick. I'm going all out right to the end, just like you ordered." To prove it, she threw herself into the ropes behind her, gaining the extra momentum needed to really make her flying double knee to his chest hurt.

False sympathy? Nah, Blaise was just joking around. His body's feeling the punches and kicks Amy's been putting him through, but his spirit's as bright as ever. So when she grins at him, he lets out a strained little laugh. It does nothing to ease the pain in his midsection. But at least that moment of reprieve gave him some relief from the pain in his abs - enough to straighten his posture, at least.

Amy takes off for the opposite ropes and Blaise's eyes widen. He recognizes this setup! But if he can catch her off-guard, he could turn this around! He pushes his back against the ropes and springs forward, boots hammering across the mat. His right arm extends, intent on catching her across the throat with a hard clothesline!

...Only she doesn't continues running upright. The girl goes airborne and leads knees-first, slamming directly into Blaise's toned chest. The impact is enough to take his feet out from under him, nearly flipping him over before landing him on his shoulders. His body flops back down to the mat, his arms crossing his chest protectively with an obviously pained groan. He can't speak. His top priority right now is just getting air flowing through his lungs again.
