Soiree or Stay In? (For Imhotep)

"Oh. Dear. God."

And then, Domino is all laughs.

As Mindy dives for the magazine, he falls onto his back and lifts his arms to try and keep the magazine out of her grasp. "Ahahahah! Oh, talk about a stash!" He twists about, grinning ear to ear. "Is that why you invited me over~? Too much time with fake cut-outs, hopin' to spend some time with someone real?" Half of the humor is just in how badly this must be embarrassing for the poor girl! She was clearly making some effort to keep that hidden, and she really didn't want him to see it!

Mindy had steam coming out of her ears. If she knew she was going to have someone stay over, she would have hidden that so much better. And how could he laugh like that? "No it isn't- I mean- I don't- this isn't funny! I said HANDS OFF!"

As Domino moved the dirty magazine away from her, Mindy practically pounced on top of him, laying her body on top of his. She paid no mind to their proximity, so desperate was she of making him let go. She was just as embarrassed as she could possibly be, and in addition to that she was also visibly upset. One does not simply intrude into a girl's private life like that! She would wrestle with him, trying to wrench the magazine from his hands before he could see any more of it.

Oh, to be fair. Domino had no interest in looking at a bunch of nude dudes. At this point, his only concern is playing keep-away with Mindy. And this seems to've dropped the muscular femme right on top of him. Now that's an interesting development. And not an unpleasant one. Though if they were to wrestle, he may have preferred she be wearing that skimpy workout attire. But he'll take it. Besides, this could be just as much fun playing with her.

As she stretches over him for the magazine, he lets it go and relocates his arms around her waist. His heda lifts, and his nose bumps to hers, gaze half-lidded and affixed to her eyes. "H'lo," he greets, voice lowered in register. "You're just anxious to get back on topp'a me, huh?"

Despite the flirting, a couple chuckles still escape him. Her reaction to having her secret revealed was just too good.

Pressing her body against Domino's, Mindy did her best to reach the magazine, and after a short and intense struggle she somehow managed to make him let go. However, she had little time to feel relieved; once the concern of protecting her secret disappeared from her mind, she instantly realized that she had pinned Domino onto the ground in the process, giving her yet another reason to be self-conscious.

She at once motioned to get off him, but she felt his arms coiling around her. She found herself touching noses with him and staring into his eyes, in an inverted reprise of one of their fight's pin attempts. Domino could be enjoying the intimacy, but she wasn't happy with this, not one bit. Her head recoiled from the touch of his nose, and she planted her hands on his shoulders to push herself away from him with all her strength, sitting upright on top of him if she was successful. She would look down at him with a frown, tears of shame welling into her eyes. "... stop." This kind of humiliation was too much for her frail soul to take...

As she shoves down on his shoulders, Domino's head thumps back down onto the floor, causing the teen to give a little wince. "Erf. Easy now.."

Once she sits up, Domino props himself up onto his elbows. He makes no effort to push her off or aside, his hands coming to rest on her legs. He opens his mouth to tease the hapless girl a little further, only to pause. That little voice. The moisture in her eyes. Oh crap. In an instant, Domino's demeanor shifts to apologetic. "H-hey, come on, I was just messin' with you. I wasn't trying to hurt your feelings or anything," he offers, voice softened to a coo. "You've been really sweet'n I don't wanna mess that up..."

Mindy was done with being an emotional plaything. She brushed his hands away from her legs, and interrupted his contrite explanation with two words: "Shut up." One of her arms rose into the air for a brief moment, but she stopped herself before hitting him and lowered her hand again. There were a lot of conflicting thoughts going through her head...

After a while, Mindy would stand up in silence, looking away from Domino to stand near the window. She looked blankly at the deserted streets below. "... get out." Her words came out softly, as if she was trying to stifle a sniff.

That arm raises, and the teen's eyes widen in a mixture of shock and confusion. Was she about to hit him? But all he did was have a laugh! Geeze, she's sensitive! He wouldn't have expected the ribbing to effect her quite this badly! But now that it has, she doesn't seem interested in letting him make up for it.

Still, he has to try.

Domino twists onto all fours, then quickly lifts to his full height. His hands link behind his back, shoulders hunched forward, and he leans his body at an angle to bow his head. "I didn't know I was upsettin' you that badly. M'sorry. I..." Meant what he was saying a second ago? But she cut him off! Maybe she didn't hear. Or maybe she didn't care to listen. But now that she's obviously absolutely upset, what guilt he was feeling is just amplified. No amount of humor is worth actually making someone miserable. "...Yeah. I really wasn't trying to upset you. Sorry," he concludes in a murmur.

Though as he speaks, he inches back towards the door.

Mindy didn't turn to face him as he made his apology, but she did listen to all of it. She knew she was shy. She knew she was sensitive. She knew he just wanted to have a laugh. She knew that bringing a man into her room, late at night, was something that created erotic expectations on the invited, and that she probably hadn't made her intentions clear enough. But still...!

"I just wanted to help you, you know." She spoke without looking away from the window. The corner of her eye looked at her porn magazine, lying crumpled on the floor. If only he hadn't found that... "Say... do you think I'm strange?"

"I know, I know," sighs a crestfallen Domino, eyes glued to his feet. "And I'm being kind've a jerk."

The question pauses his egress. His head lifts, giving her the strangest look. But despite that, his answer is, "'Course not. I mean, you get flustered easily, but in the wide world of quirks, that's pretty tame. I-in a good way!" Considering what has transpired, he felt it important to clarify. "I think you're great. And I know that probably sounds sort'a fake right now, given what's... going on... but I mean it. I was happy for ya, in the ring. You beat me, and I was happy for ya. That should... that should tell you something, right?"

Mindy fiddle with her hair, taking his words in slowly. "Well, t-thanks." Something in her heart told her that Domino was being sincere with his praise, but there was still something that bugged her to no end.

"But you just saw how I am in private, right? Am I not weird?" She hesitated a bit before turning around to face him, wiping a tear from the corner of her eye. "I mean, I look at porn so often... and despite that, when I bring a model to my room, I decide to not have sex with him... it makes no sense, right? A normal girl wouldn't do this kind of thing."
