So if someone was wanting to get into the WOW craze as a newb, would you recommend they start by working with one of the earlier Warcraft games? Or just dive right into WOW itself?

The earlier Warcraft games are all real time strategy games. WoW is a MMORPG. Kind of a big difference between them, Tai. XD

If you want a strategy game, play WC3. If you want an MMO, play WoW.

Lorewise play the wc3 and expansion because of quite of a bit of lore is connected to the mmo plus once you set your account up you can save the keys to that account to redownload to play at a later time for fun.
