Megumi Mutoh Vs. Heather Sunderland

"ONE!" the referee yelled as Megumi held Heather up for the pin, bridging up high to hold Heather in place. But Heather didn't want to stay down, and she still had enough in her that Megumi couldn't hold her if she decided to give all her strength in pushing out. And Heather did. "TWO!" the referee yelled, then Heather pushed up and broke the pin, forcing Megumi to turn to the side as well as she pushed out of the pin.

"Urgh!" Megumi grunted, releasing Heather and rolling onto her front. She looked up at Heather as she pushed herself onto her feet. "How do you like that?" Megumi taunted, "Still think I'm all talk Heather? I go easy on you if you decide to give up." She decided to wait for Heather to get to her feet, not attacking her while she was down.

Rolling away after kicking out of the pin, Heather would reach back and rub her upper back and neck from the pounding pain she could feel. She would get herself up onto one knee as she looked over at Megumi who had directed her sights back at her. "Kh...Alright..not bad..but I'm NOT giving up." Heather would say, directing a glare up at the girl as she brought herself to her feet as well.

Back at the two standing and locking their eyes on eachother, Heather knew she had to come up with some sort of plan. The girl has taken the upperhand in the last couple moments they had in the match, and Heather needed to get her own offense in back. She would keep her eyes on Megumi, slowly approaching her as she would raise up her hands, changing her mind from before and deciding to offer a lockup.

Heather was finally showing some respect for Megumi, which made the idol much happier. It also meant that Heather wasn't going to underestimate her anymore though. Megumi knew that the real fight was about to begin, against a hurt but highly dangerous Heather. Megumi had to play more carefully now, otherwise Heather was going to get the upper hand.

Seeing Heather come in for a lock-up, Megumi raised her hands and stepped in as well. When she got close, she would attempt to lunge in and grab Heather by the shoulders, her fingers gripping tightly as she tried to overpower Heather. "That's the spirit," Megumi said, "It would be a shame if you lost like this."

"Not..gonna happen." Heather would let out as she pushed against Megumi in the lockup. Like usual, Heather was finding herself to be on the lesser end in the power struggle, not as strong as the idol, but she tried to hold her place in the struggle. Heather knew that she couldn't keep this up for too long though, Megumi was clearly the stronger one, and as much as Heather tried, she knew she was going to find herself getting pushed back soon.

"How about this then??" Heather would let out, making it so her legs would give way as she would fall back. If she could, she would kick her legs up, trying to toss Megumi across the ring with a monkey flip.

Megumi's raw strength allowed her to slowly overpower Heather and push her back, but Heather knew the tricks of the trade. Megumi suddenly found herself getting monkey flipped over Heather, landing hard on her back with a grunt. She shook her head and took a deep breath, rolling over onto her front and getting up. "That was pretty good Heather," Megumi complimented. She was on her front now, keeping an eye on where Heather was to make sure she wasn't surprised by the girl. Megumi slowly and deliberately got up. She wondered how much Heather had left in her, after taking all those hits.

Monkey flipping the girl over her, Heather would get back up to her feet, letting out a long breath as she felt her body sting a bit from the affects of the match. Her constant misses of her high risk moves and what she's taken from Megumi so far was catching up to her, but she was trying to hide that fact as much as she could, turning to the girl as she heard her words.

"Heh..Obviously.." She would let out as she saw her slowly getting up. Trying to stop the girl from doing so, Heather would muster up what she had and charge at the girl, trying to send a hard kick to her with her shin as she reached her.

Megumi kept an eye on Heather, so when the girl came charging in to try and nail her with a kick, she was ready. Megumi quickly rolled to the side, making Heather's kick hit nothing but air. Megumi was playing very defensively against Heather right now. She knew the girl was getting tired, and that after all those high-risk moves failing she would be in a whole world of pain. It was quite admirable of her to keep on fighting like that. From Megumi's experience with Chigusa, if one of those moves failed, she would be done. Heather didn't seem too fazed by it at all.

She rolled over to the ropes, grabbing onto the middle one to hoist herself up onto her feet as fast as she could. Megumi needed to properly defend herself now. And she needed to attack. She couldn't count on Heather screwing up a third high-risk move.

"Kh..Damnit.." Heather would let out under her breath as Megumi quickly evaded her kick, rolling out of the way. Heather would stumble forward a bit before she would stop herself by grabbing the ropes. She would let out a couple deep breaths, realizing the state she was in. She knew she couldn't show any weakness to Megumi, but the girl seemed to be taking quite the strategy, remaining on the defensive.

The frustration in not getting in a succession of attacks now when she needed it was building in Heather. She was trying to calm herself as much as she could, taking her time to take a breath as she turned to face Megumi. She wasn't looking all that great, and Heather wasn't going to let that stand. The difference in the condition between the two at this point was something that Heather wanted to change and glaring at the girl opposite to her she tried to run through her head what she could do to bring about that.

Heather would walk slowly to the corner of the ring before she would grip the ropes. Taking a deep breath, Heather would run on the side of the ropes to near where Megumi was standing before she would attempt to make a short jump to place her foot on the bottom rope, using it to bounce off and towards Megumi, trying to use that to aid in her force in trying to send a kick to the girl's shin. She knew leaping up would take quite a bit more out of her, but she was fishing through her head of what to do to get the girl down.

Megumi saw what she suspected, that Heather was quite close to worn out. It seemed her strategy was working. But Heather wasn't about to give up her flashy attacks it seemed, and remained convinced that she could still perform them. Megumi stayed close to the ropes, having just gotten up. Heather came running in and jumping up onto the bottom ropes. She bounced off of them and sent a sweep kick right at Megumi's legs. It was an impressive move, but ultimately the wrong move for trying to take her down. She jumped backwards, her relatively fresher body remaining limber enough that she could dodge that kick despite it's speed.

After landing, Megumi dug in her heels and quickly rushed back in. She held nothing back as she kicked upwards herself, trying to nail Heather in the ribs as she recovered from her missed kick.

Performing the leap off the bottom rope, thinking that she could use the speed and momentum to get in that move to get her offense in, Heather would again find herself missing the girl. Her frustration and feeling of powerlessness was killing her as she landed, meeting nothing but the air and canvas yet again. It felt to her like she was spent and she couldn't even touch Megumi at the moment.

Next thing she knew, she would feel the heavy impact in her chest as Megumi sent the kick towards her ribs. Heather would let out a yell in pain as she felt the kick, just wrecking her body even more. She tried to fight back as much as she could though, trying to reach out and grab the girl's leg to try to unbalance her, trying to hold it to her chest and pull instead of just taking hold which led to the enziguri before. That was of course if Heather could even catch the girl who was clearly in the better condition.
