Haruka vs Toshio, Fall of an Amazon

Haruka had just managed to regain her bearings when Toshio got up and nailed her with the dropkick. She stagered back further and got tied up in the ropes a bit.

Toshio sprang back to his feet, feeling a little encouraged now that he was retaking control of the match. Moving up to Haruka, he would try to grab at her arm to quickly whip her across the ring.

Haruka would be whipped across the ring and careen to the far ropes.

As Haruka bounced off the ropes, Toshio ran up to collide with her, leaping up to execute a flying clothesline. I'm not going to lose just because my brother likes you, he thought to himself.

Haruka would rebound right at Toshio. However she would quickly grab hold of her senses and duck under the clothesline attack and keep speeding to the ropes on other side. She would proceed to bounce off these ropes and use the momentum to try and speed at Toshio with a spear aimed at his midsection.

Toshio was taken by surprise as he leapt up with his clothesline...only for Haruka's short-haired head to duck low, causing him to miss entirely. "Oh no--" was all he managed to say before he crashed to the mat in a heap. Although he had only hit the mats boots and knees-first and hadn't done any damage, he was now unbalanced.

Great. This is what I get for doing an all-out move like that early in the match, he thought bitterly to himself. If Kyo were here, he'd start correcting me again. He reminds me way too much of Dad sometimes. Moving as quickly as he could, Toshio pushed himself back up to his feet, springing up by his palms and spinning around...

...just in time to see Haruka spear him hard in the midsection. His powerful upper body instantly doubled over as the air exploded from his lungs, causing him to almost lean over Haruka before staggering back a bit, out of breath.

Haruka rubbed her shoulder a bit as she straightened up and watched Toshio stagger back. She realized she could not afford to fool around too much with someone of Toshio's size. She would follwo up with a kick aimed right up at the temple.

Toshio was staggering upright, catching his breath after Haruka's spear. He had to admit, the former Senshi was a LOT stronger than she looked. No wonder she had given Kyo such trouble in their first match--

He saw the blurred shape of Haruka's booted foot, just before it slammed against his temple. For a brief second, Toshio's vision went white as he toppled over into his back, completely dazed by the blow. "Nnnnh..." He shook his head gingerly, clutching his forehead with both hands as he kicked fitfully at the mat.

The crowd went wild a bit as they saw the atheltic blonde nail the muscular fighter hard enough to make him drop. Haruka would pause to absorb this heat and riase a fist in the air at their reaction.

She then looked back down at Toshio before running for the ropes and going for the rebound, trying to sue the momentum to land on him with a flying legdrop, aiming to drop one of her powerful legs across his upper body.

Haruka's leg drop had its intended effect, slamming hard across Toshio's chest. His upper body jerked as the air exploded from his lungs, and he was sent rolling onto his side, clutching his hurting chest as he gasped for breath. Rolling fully onto his knees, he pressed a palm against the mat, trying to prop himself upwards while he ignored the burning feeling in his ribs.
