Unlikely Allies (For Janabell)

Bea was still giggling a bit after the skull-punting comment, but went a bit wide-eyed and tilted her head when Maria mentioned the tag titles. She had thought that was just something Maria was thinking when she was drunk. "You really mean it? A team? Do you think we could do it?"

Getting serious for a few minutes Maria had to explain, "Well yeah i mean it, were not getting anything done in singles so why not go for the tag team division? after a few matches we could go for the titles!" Maria says, people view Maria as a loner but she could use a friend to cuddle with and talk to behind the scenes. After Maria pops in a dvd, all tag team matches. "Of course we need to learn how to be a good team, right? know each other's moves and what not."

Bea nods excitedly. "I say we go for it!!" She watched as Maria popped in the tag team DVD, curious to see what she had planned, although it seemed obvious. "A good team eats, sleeps, trains, and works together!"

Watching the tape, none of those words made sense to Marie because she was alone for all those years. "Yep it can work, Bea." That was the first time Maria used her birth name. "Well if you want i can teach you some of what i know." She had to offer Bea.

Bea nodded with a serious face as Marie confirmed her words, smiling when she heard her name used. "That would be cool! And..I could teach you a bit of what I know...after all...there's no telling what kinds of matches we might get roped into as a tag team.."

It was settled then, Maria had herself a tag team partner. "Well, its a deal then i would love to learn something from you." Now Maria had to figure out where they were going to train. "Well you can pick where we train if you want.." Marie says. Pulling to apples out and tossing one to Bea.

Bea smiles and catches the apple, taking a nice-sized bite out of it. "Hmm...well it depends on what we want to train first really."

Thinking Maria was not the strongest wrestler out there, she wanted to help Bea first though. "What are you worst at. Strength, speed, technique, defense or endurance?" Lifting the apple to her mouth Maria takes a bite out of it and chews slowly.

Bea took her time thinking. She wasn't exactly sure what area she lacked in the most. Her technique was all right, her speed was fair, her strength was probably below average, her defensiveness was above average due to her high counter-rate, endurance was probably another area she could use improvement in. "I'd have to endurance more than anything...then strength is right after that."

Bea was Maria's first friend in AFW. Maria would keep that to herself for now. The one thing Marie and Bea had in common was the strength issue. They needed to work hard in the gym. Maria was known for those quick counters. Even though she still gets her fair share of beating. "Well Bea, we have to work on your endurance, and I'm not too strong either. "
