I am a bad RPer... Even worse than Raiye and that's a lot!

I have a truly AWFUL Style of RP.

I don't like to develope my characters so none of them is scarred or tattooed, to avoid development. Also they are plain Janes with no background any klind of quirk or tatoos and scars. Because I know tattoos and scars mean development and I am scared people won't want to play with me if my characters become interesting.

All my characters are the same type and. Actually the same character. To be sure I named them all the same.

I am terrified of taking risks so I never try to involve my characters in any kind of storyline that may be interesting or compeling.

I been hiding in a corner waiting for some God of character-development come here and patronize me telling me about his characters.

I don't call myself a god/deity or associate myself with one, and I fail to see a problem with using my characters as examples. I never said I require characters with scars or tattooes to consider them as good or unique; I used the scars/tattooes as an example of oddities you can use to make a character stick out. Is it really seeming like I was being condescending or rude for asking questions?~

I am not a god of character development, but I suppose you think that that I was being rude due to the stiff tone. I am not showing the light by asking questions about character development, and no offense to anyone, but when I keep seeing angry/sadistic heels and ditzy/upbeat/tsunderish faces how am I supposed to see them as unique or different? I wasn't attacking you or anyone else with this topic so why think that because I'm asking people why they appear to be not making different/unique characters that I'm attacking anyone? ~

If you make a character, then what makes you decide to not make that character different? I wasn't calling anyone's character a plane jane; I was asking why people are less inclined to make characters that aren't odd/unique/different~

You already found out that it is because it is easier and people are scared that others won't want to play with them.

Because that's my opinion, and since opinions are just opinions I decided that I wanted to ask the opinions of others. I want to know why people choose to make characters the way they do.~ :"U

You seriously expected someone to come here and say "Hi. I am a sucky RPer. Let me tell you why" without using sarcasm?

Or you were just trying to pick a fight by saying people who don't have well developed (AKA tattooed/scarred) characters as yours are sucky RPers?

Sorry, but there is no other way to understand you original post and the title of your thread.

Tai here, sober now, thought Id post. Soiuku, the exchange you and Kitten just had proves my point. Your question, to put in simple, blunt terms, doesnt come off as "why do you make characters the way you do" but instead comes off as "Your characters dont have scars,tats, or some tragic backstory, so they arent interesting, they are all the same, and you all suck"

Now did you mean for your question to sound like that? No, you didnt. The problem is that by using youself as "proof of the right way" for severe lack of a better term, combined with a question that many people here have now said they couldnt understand the point of, ends up with you being misunderstood and misinterpeted, to the point where everyone now thinks your insulting them and obviously, they dont like that. Another factor is that there is already a thread named "What inspired your characters" where people talk with indifference or pride about how they created their characters, so when this thread comes along and comes off as "Why is everyone doing the same boring crap with characters that suck cause they arent unique or special or different or tragic or blah blah blah" again, severe lack of better term, they....geez this is a long post.

Look once you read all that, it should become clear that due to tone, misinterpetation, and other factors....

You basically came off as saying "You all suck and Im better, now tell me why you suck"

No I don't as I have said numerous times: that is not the point I'm trying to make~
People can make there characters in any way they please and RP style can easily make the character much more appealing but I meant that people should try making some odd/unique characters since we already have the other characters, and if not then why not?~

The title btw is meant to be dry humour~

Regardless of how it sounds, or what it appeared to be saying, or didn't appear to be saying I was asking this: where are your odd/unique characters and why don't you make any if you have none? I know that I can't expec people to get along with me or agree with me; but asking before they attack never hurts~
