Honestly, I would wait a while if you can. I think SDvR 2011 is out in either late September or early October, and from what I've read, Divas are apparently going to finally have every match type open to them again.

I *think*. Been a while since I read the article, I'll try to find it again.

If I'm getting what you're trying to find out (Match types available for Divas), here's a quick summary:

1v1: All Matches Available Except: Inferno Match, Hell in a Cell, Last Man Standing. (Also, can't wrestle against a male 1v1.)
2v2: Mixed Tag (Closest to Mixed Wrestling Available, 1 male / 1 female for each team)
Other match type Diva's can't do: Royal Rumble

You can build up CAW Diva stats through any matches, regardless of win or loss or Career / Exhibition match. However, I'm unsure if the Diva's ratings are scaled down from male ratings. I believe they're the same though.

Amazingly, Divas physically cannot be made to bleed (No "First Blood" matches), and I don't think they get the sweat particle rendering coolness either. Also, I believe you have to go through the various Career & "Road to Wrestlemania" modes/stories to unlock all the backstage locations / characters / "Abilities" / etc.

"Cheating" on an Xbox360 would require a hacked system, if I remember correctly. Hacked system == System Ban from LIVE. So, if you just plan on playing offline, then there's ways around it, but I have no idea where to even begin with them. Though, I believe it's mostly the Abilities / Create-A-Finisher / Male Wrestlers that are locked from the get-go, so you arne't missing out on -too- much if you're focusing on Diva stuff.

the thing I was wonder about was the submission system. I saw a youtube clip of a submission move and it seemed completely different, it seemed that the holds last a lot longer... Is this true for all the submission holds in the game? and is the submission system the same for every hold?

no, that was probably the struggle submission system, although it should be the same for the entire submission system.

EDIT: ok so this struggle submission system replaces all the usual submission holds... On one of the vidoes I saw, the submission hold lasted for ever. But on a couple of others it was over in a couple of seconds...

Can you tweak stats so that submission holds take longer to make someone tap out?

wait for 2011? I they seem to like making it more and more difficult to enjoy for female wrestling lovers with each new addition, so I doubt 2011 will suddenly be loads better then 2010 in terms of Divas.

I can't be bothered to rent the game (I can buy it for fairly cheap so no point in renting it if I'm going to go that far)

Uhh, depends on abilities of the wrestlers for how long submissions last. Like, I believe there's one ability that makes it easier to escape submissions/pins. Increasing the submission stat may increase duration, though I think it just increases limb damage and makes it harder for opponents to escape.

There -are- standard 'submission' holds, but those are pretty much only to wear down opponents and only last a second or two. "Struggle Submissions" are the ones where you can move around the right stick to apply more pressure to the opponent to try to make them tap out, or just kinda hang out with them in the hold if you don't move the right stick. If you're on the receiving end of a "Struggle Submission", you can either do the classic button mash to get out, or you can hold buttons to fill up a meter and release it when it's in a certain spot on the bar.

I didn't realize there was two ways to get out of the submission hold...

So if the attacker doesn't apply pressure on the hold and the victim doesn't struggle, will the hold stay locked on forever? In the video that I saw where the hold lasted about 1 minute, I think the attacker had a moderate submission value where as the victim had maxed out durability and then the victim didn't struggle or hold down any buttons for ages
