3rd Strike?

Super IV. Wasn't that fond of 3rd Strike.

You mean your local arcade never had a scene. That has to be the main reason. Either that or you dont have an active arcade where you are. Agh. Sucks.

It's a damn solid game, don't get me wrong, but I honestly just didn't dig most the cast in it. Yang was the only new character I really liked from the whole bunch. As far as fighters go for me, if I don't like the characters from a design standpoint, there's nothing in the world that's going to be able to get me into the game.

It's why I can't get into any Soul Calibur game past SCII, the character designs just got more and more ridiculous as the series went on.

SC1 for the dreamcast was the best. Namco clearly overdid the character designs for every sequel. Ivy's breats got bigger to the point where it became laughable. Taki just turned into a ninja slut.

SC1 might've been more balanced, but SC3 onward was just a mess. I'm definatly NOT looking out for SC5...if it ever comes out. Luckily I bought SC1 for my Xbox Live so I can relive and play.

Now for the trillion dollar question....you play Virtua Fighter?

See, I actually think SCII's Ivy looks best, I'm rather fond of her design there quite a bit. After that though, yeah. Her design in SCIII wasn't *completely* horrid, it's just...the coloring on her costume is completely wrong for her. :p

(Not to mention her face gives me a serious Dante vibe XP)

SCIV...don't even get me started. I don't mind crazy costumes, but I just completely hate her design in SCIV. It's just so...stupid. :P


And sorry, no. I've never actually tried Virtua Fighter, though it's always been on my list to get around to.

No Virtua Fighter? Really? Well, not that I blame you. The masses never appreciated a true diamond such as that series.
As for Street fighter, I'm more of a Zangief player. I play the occasional Deejay as well. I fucking hate Ryu, Ken, Akuma, and Sakura though. Dan is fine. I love him. " title="Laughing" />

I normally dislike the shotoclones, but Sakura and Ken I don't mind, same for Dan.

Ugh though, Zangief. I will NEVER be able to play grapple characters, EVER. I just can't get the hang of them.
