Masako Sakamoto's determination (Open)

Masako reiforced her stance, attempting to tighten her muscles as Jennifer-sensei had instructed to her during their training/ spar session. she took the hits and grunted in pain but, her stance still held at least she had that part right. But, the second kick threw her off but, it only made her shift slightly. Massako bither lip, and looked back at her opponent,

"Thanks, I'm trying to work up my defence skills so I needed to know how to take a hit and lighten the impact by tightening my muscels, it's a karate technique but, it didn't quite work..." Masako said, "I still need practice... is your throat okay, I sort of hit it by accident while I was hitting your head...Sorry"

Sayuki simply nodded her head to assure Masako that she was fine, she had felt worse before despite this hurting, she could work through it. Sayuki didn't know if Masako was still in this stance of her's to lighten damage to her legs, but she chose to try and deliver another kick to Masako's leg. She didn't want to to stop and let the pain distract her from the sparring match and let down Masako in slowing down.

Masako hissed in pain, she was about to scream 'Ow! that hurt like a bitch' but, her stance was amazingly still there, "Umm.. I think that's enough practice for today thanks, sayuki anymore I think I'd collpase from pain!"

Masako's stance still stood that was a good thing but, she wasn't quite as versitile in the horse stance (hint hint). She took a few steps and did a few feints with her fists to put up sayuki's guard on her chest. She needed some practice with her kicks so, she decided to send a very high snap kick to Sayuki's chin. Masako thought that was a good idea since sayuki wouldn't expect her to be able to kick that high.

"Kyahh!"

If there was one thing that Sayuki has come to know, was that her face was popular target whenever she fought, so she had a few defense to block her face. Also Masako had used this multiple feint tactic one too many times and noticed remembered that she went for her face with that flying punch, so Sayuki anticipated another attempted strike to the face. Her guess was right as Masako came with a high snap kick, which surprised Sayuki, but being prepared for an attack this wasn't enough to throw Sayuki off.

Using her height advantage, Sayuki pulled her head back to avoid the kick by a few inches and quickly tried to grab the Kawaii's leg. She thought that since she had to put so much effort into getting her leg that high, her other leg was stiff and very easy to knock down at this point. If she had successfully grabbed the leg, Sayuki would use a sweep kick and aimed for the back of her leg, knowing it would (or should) crumble even if with the slightest of touches.

If this was to work, then Sayuki would hold on to the leg and ground based assault, but that's if she managed to grab the leg in the first place.

Masako was easily taken down by Sayuki. She was in trouble the momment her kick was caught the leg sweep made it even worse. She grunted as her body hit the mat. MAsako would put up her guard instantly. The kawaii cooked up a good strategy while she was up on her feet. Being an A plus college student, she was one crafty cookie.
"I'm ready!" She said confidently with a crooked smile.

Sayuki held on to the kawaii's leg and watched as she put up a guard, though the problem was... Sayuki was going to dive in. She held on to Masako's leg stretching it out so that she could deliver another kick to the back of her leg. This was Sayuki's usual game plan, she would normally take out one or both of the opponent's legs and then she figured it would be easy for her to obtain a submission hold. She found it a tad bit funny to see that Masako had devised a counter strategy, only to find out her opponent used a entirely different tactic.

Or was it? Did Masako plan have this situation in mind?

Masako didn't expect the first bit to happen but, she rolled with it. She bit her lip as that srung quite alot. Masako's plan was almost full proof, by putting up her guard an arm submission would be difficult and throwing shots at her while she had the intitative would put sayuki into a disadvatage. So, the only thing Sayuki would resort to was a leg submission. Her other leg was firmly planted on the ground so, she couldn't be turned over as easily. If sayuki would attempt a submission with Masako facing up, she would simply beat the living crap out of her with strikes. If She attempted to flip her, Masako would send two snap kick to the back of her knee and force her to fall.

Sayuki continued with her leg kicks and even began to stomp on the inside of Masako's knee. Sayuki knew the dangers of jumping into a prepared opponent, so she either had to continue damaging Masako's leg or just abandon the hold and start back from ground zero. She thought about releasing Masako, but then she remembered all the stiff strikes she gave and didn't want to risk getting pummeled by her again.

But she knew that sooner or later, Masako would eventually start mounting a counter attack. Sayuki got frustrated with all the thinking and decide just to hell with it and would try to drop down into a knee stretch of sorts by throwing her same side leg over Masako's while wrapping her arm around Masako's heel for leverage as she pressed the knee outward while pull on the heel. Although her Masako's readiness to fight, Sayuki had hoped that by positioning her face farthest away from Masako's fist, she would be able to apply pressure whenever the girl had sat up to reach for her. However, it would come down to if Sayuki was able to even get the hold on Masako to do this.

Masako wasn`t just going to lie there and take more hits she wasn`t that stupid. In fact, she wasn`t stupid at all. She kicked the inside of Sayuki`s only standing leg as Sayuki was going to make another hit on the back of her leg. As Sayuki fell, Masako would pull the girl to fall towards her with her leg and kick her with a powerful kick. But, in the back of her mind, she knew that if her kick was caught she would be in big trouble.

Sayuki knew it, Masako was too fresh to slap on a submission and paid for it as the kick to the back of her leg along with the pull caused her to walk into a strong kick to the gut. The force of the kick caused Sayuki to stumble back as she fell backwards, choosing to roll out of the ring to recuperate. In an act of frustration she hit the ring apron with fist. "Dammit!" she loudly cursed, failing to notice the crawling figure of O. Van who finally awoke from the head kick getting up to his knees, trying to piece together what was still left of his head.

"What'd I miss?" he asked as Sayuki answered with a spin back kick that connected to his face, knocking him out yet again.

"Shut up Old Man!" Sayuki shouted, not giving her kick a second thought as her mind was filled with self-insults and boiling anger at getting shown up by a Kawaii. She then decided to take a quick breather and decide on another strategy to employ on the Karate Girl.
