Birbie Becky vs Nagana Kōshukei- Faster then a Vice Grip?

WIth the incoming tail, Nagana intended to simply sweep Birdie off of her. It might be a rough gesture, but it wouldn’t break the bird upon contact. But for some strange reason, the bird seemed insistent in staying on the snake! Becky rolled or maybe hopped up onto the top of Nagana’s head and peeked down at the large natural predator. Nagana’s thin slit eyes noticed the bird immediately, glaring up at the creature with a boiling frustration. But knowing that any attempt at swiping at the bird would simply cause her to fly or scuttle away, Nagana tried a new approach.

“Sorry…for what?” She spat, a bit amazed that she was starting to understand the bird's quick speech thanks to time.

Becky suddenly hopped off Nagana, while chirping "Allofthis."

She landed on a part of the Nagas body, and half turned towards the direction of Naganas face. Her eyes had a steely look but there was also a different look there.... something more........

Sombre?

She then stuck a hand out and pointed at Naganas main torso direction.

Was it really a good thing to be learning Becky’s speech pattern? It might have been something detrimental after all. It meant this fight was going on much longer than it really had any right to. In short bursts, she could pick up what the avian was saying even if it was quick but she wasn’t really here to chat up a bird she never even met. Truth be told, Nagana never even really liked bird species thanks to the predator/prey instincts they each shared for each other. But now Becky was apologizing to her for what was probably the absurdity of the fight. Nagana’s forked tongue flicked out of her maw in annoyance as she moved along the snake's body.

Nagana followed Becky’s finger, tilting her head curiously. Her abdomen?

“What about it?”

Rather than try and hurt Becky, Nagana lifted her body up to eye level. The audience hated Nagana no matter what, and Eros was doing her no favors. Why should she? Talking for a while wasn’t that bad. It might prove a fine distraction to ensnare her.

Becky did a dramatic stance, and then said in a notably slowed down voice that just about no one but Nagana heard

"I'm-about-to-throw-myself-at-you."

A heads up?!

Before Nagana could think or say anything, Becky immediately hopped off and flew backwards, towards the ropes.

“Throw yourself…?”

The snake blinked, wondering just who it was she was dealing with. The bird was an unorthodox fighter…maybe just an unorthodox individual in general. Every second Nagana spent in the ring with her, Becky seemed to do something weird or crazy even. Climbing all over her, talking with her, acting friendly? A snake was a bird’s natural predator. It would be akin to Nagana trying to cuddle up to a Roc. A predatory bird that was the size of one of Gaia’s airships. But Becky just seemed to treat her like she might treat anyone else. It was almost unnerving in a twisted way if Nagana didn’t have the assurance that she was the bigger one. Becky hopped off her scaly perch and flew backwards, getting prepped on the ropes.

The snake simply watched her prepare. She made no preparations, so defensive or offensive gestures. Becky said she would throw herself at Nagana, and the Naga was genuinely curious as to what that entailed. The serpent striker figured that this might be akin to Becky trying to throw herself against a wall. Nagana was thick with muscle and scales, her entire body a pillar of strength even by her own species standards. A part of the snake woman wondered if she should maybe try and cushion Becky’s impact for her. Simply to ensure the bird didn’t hurt herself too badly.

"Just don't get yourself killed."

Becky flew into the ropes at high speed, pulling on their elasticity for all it was worth with her speed.

The crowds necks craned with her, wondering what the hell was going to happen.

And with a SPROING she shot off like a missile, or a cannonball, hurtling right towards Naganas chest area at incredible speeds!

Nagana watched Becky pull back on the arena ropes as far back as they could go. She heard the elasticity and metallic springs creak and groan as they were put to their limits. The serpent grumbled a bit in concern, flicking her tongue out as she wondered just how far the avian creature was going to go with this stunt of theirs. Any more and the ropes might just snap, causing the bird to fly off into the protective spells that covered the arena walls. It seemed stupid to show concern for her opponent during a fight, but Nagana let out a noticeable sigh. Her eyes locked onto Becky, opening her mouth to say something to try and get Becky to stop, only for Becky to suddenly spring forward and out of sight. All Nagana saw was a gray blur and then…

CRACK!

An instant, burning pain erupted in her chest! The snake’s scales and muscles seemed to do nothing as all the air was ripped from her lungs and she toppled to the floor in a heap! Nagana felt like she had been shot, her mouth agape in a silent gasp as spittle flew into the air! When the serpent hit the floor, a cloud of dust erupted from the ground as she clutched her shoulder, hissing in pain.

Was that Becky?!? She couldn’t believe it! Something that small hit harder than some of the best strikes around! Already, a welt and bruise was around the impact site and the pain just kept getting worse!

“SSSSssssCRAP THAT HURT!”

Becky was left spinning and rolling like a ball away from Nagana as she rolled along like a tyre away from Nagana after the impact and opened up into a sitting position, off center from the ring. Her head wobbled and circled before she shook it off.

She looked at Nagana in genuine concern.
"Isaidid-i-said-id-throw-myself!" she rubbed her own head while getting on her feet, hearing the audience cheering.

There was enough pain in Nagana’s shoulder to send someone into shock! The straight shot shouldn’t have packed so much power but the snake didn’t have the mental capacity to process anything in that moment! Her fangs spat venom on the ring floor more out of defensive instinct than anything as Nagana tried to do anything that alleviated the pain! The cheers of the crowd were deafening, causing Nagana's yellow eyes to glare wildly at everyone. She grabbed her shoulder with her free hand and managed to pick herself back up to her intimidating height. Her agitated state showed in her face, those long, deadly fangs poking through her lips in a defensive nature. Nagana’s mouth was slightly open, rows of sharp, needle teeth were lined inside her jaw as her lower body seemed ready to attack at any moment.

“STOP TALKING!”

Nagana was blinded by pain, not just from what Becky managed to do but the crowd cheering for it. No support, no hesitancy, all of it hit her when she was weak and she accidentally attacked without thinking! Her tail swung and Becky fast and hard! Faster than any attack she had thrown prior and with the intent on hitting the cute bird! Nagana didn’t even realize just how much strength she’d used, but it was too late to stop by the time her rationale came back to her! The face that was twisted in anger and hurt shifted to one of terror and concern as she feared she might have just killed her opponent!

"NO! SHIT SHIT!"

With a loud resounding BOOM, the impact smashed onto where Becky was, the whole ring vibrating to the power of the strike that even the referee freaked out a bit.

The ringing noise that came after that seemed like an eternity of deafness, a sort of terrified calm..........that was, until it turns out, Becky had somehow dodged that!

Well, almost. Her tail feathers were stuck under Naganas massive tail, and she wiggled herself a bit free, but some feathers got plucked and stuck underneath.

"AIE! Theshame!" she said, her feathery face notably getting red in Naganas view.
