Strategy: Nagana is an opportunistic, but powerful combatant in any arena. Her dizzying strikes and hooks can leave an opponent dazed, but it's the subtle traps and submissions she uses that are the real venom to her bite! Nothing is always as it seems when going up against her!

Constricting Cobra Choke: A terrifying choke that can end a match before it even begins! Nagana will wrap her lower body around her foe, locking them in tight while crushingly their bodies mercilessly! All while applying a chokehold around their neck! Once she has her opponent locked down, it is nearly impossible to escape!


Snake Spear: In the face of a dazed or weakened opponent, Nagana will return to the floor and slither to the opposite side of the arena. Once slipping away to a proper distance, she will charge her foe at high speed and spearing them to the floor!

Past/History:

Nagana was born on the island of Faedra, right on the outskirts of the city of Tsubar. While the city was known for its trade and security, the outskirts were little better than slums for those that inhabited it. Homes in disrepair, cheap stores filled with stolen or underhanded goods, and food that was tossed out by those higher on the food chain. It was a slightly ruinous place, where deals could be made and the rich and powerful could have their darker desires satiated away from the shining light of the city’s center. It was here that Nagana quickly learned that there was no such thing as “Fair and Unfair”. There were simply those that “Had” and those that didn’t. Not even the Wardens bothered to dig through the dusty grave that was the neighborhood where she grew up.

Despite words like “Equality” and “Prosperity” being thrown around like sweets at a parade, it was painfully difficult for any species with scales to get any position worth a damn in the city. Many species preferred to look for employees that were pleasing to the eyes, things like Eleves, Harpies, and Humans. If it was humanoid, it often prospered in the city while Nagana and her brethren took to becoming thieves and crooks just to survive. In many citizens' eyes there was no such thing as an honest reptilian. No one bought from their shops, no one gave them jobs beyond manual labor, no one gave them power! The only strength they had was in each other and the bonds they forged with those they could trust.

There were those that Nagana had grown up with. Friends of all species and forms. Slimes, Dragon newts, Yokai, and the Lingered. All of them in the same situation, looking out for one another. They stole food from vendors, snatched purses and bags for coins and credits! If they could grab it, they would steal it! Some of them were captured by patrolling Wardens, while some had become lost all together, fleeing past the city gates and never returning. It seemed so easy to forget them. Disgustingly easy! Nobody in the slums was remembered after they passed!

So, Nagana decided she didn’t want to live there anymore.

Nagana would leave the city of Tsubar, going out into the jungle and beaches to try and find some purpose other than scrounging about and dying in a city that would forget her! She longed for something more! Something that would show those at the top they weren’t as perfect as they all thought!

Nagana was gone for years. Disappeared and forgotten by the town of Tsubar. She may as well have never existed, as few even remembered her name even in her own family. When she came back, she was unrecognizable. The thin naga that slithered about in the shadows finally had presence! Her body was a pillar of discipline and training, toned to the point that she was almost mistaken for a Warden. When she returned to her home in the slums, everyone shied away from her. People who she had thought would welcome her back turned away, afraid of her attracting attention from unwanted eyes.

She had wanted to be seen, to give the slums a voice...but it was only now she learned that these slum goers didn’t want a voice! They were happy being trodden on and kicked down! Such a realization was disgusting, and something she would never allow herself to be involved with! No way was she the same as these street rats and worms, content to be eaten by those higher up than themselves.

She refused to work the menial labor jobs given to the reptile species of Tsubar. Instead, she joined the dark underbelly of the slums in secret fighting competitions, earning credits through gambling and betting on herself. Everyday was a literal fight, but it was so much better than before! It was finally her in control, making her own decisions! She would crush her opponents and be paid a day's work for less than an hour of effort. It was easy, but it didn’t bring her any closer to her goal. Those higher up and better off were just as oblivious as before. She may not consider herself to be part of the slums anymore, but that didn’t mean she would just leave it to rot. Not for the people that were cowardly and crawled around there now...but to respect the memories she had made there. The friends she had spent her childhood with that had forgotten her, but had been with her the entire time.

It was strange how the past could come back to haunt someone. After being back for only a few months, Nagana received a letter. One from an old friend. Inside the letter was a note, explaining everything that had happened to them in life and how they wanted to meet up with her as soon as possible. But inside was also an opportunity! The more she read, the more an idea began to sprout. Inside was a simple pamphlet, an arena rebuilding itself with the prospect of hundreds upon thousands of viewers watching everyday! The arena was often referred to as a stage, and this would be the opportunity she had desired for so long to show those preppy, uptight species the folly of their ways!

Fun Facts:

Take me to your Leader Nagana has clearly been trained...by who, she refuses to say. It is as if she has been sworn to secrecy.

Deadbeat On her off days, Nagana can be extremely lazy. She tends to stay around her home, occasionally sunning before slithering back inside to eat and sleep.

Snake Skin While her scales are tough, they are also pleasant to the tough. Those that have gotten close enough to her have described them as being surprisingly smooth and pleasant.

Underbelly Due to the Underbelly being the softest and most vulnerable part of her species, it has become part of their culture that only loved ones or close family members are permitted to touch them. While Nagana doesn’t care as much as some, she doesn’t allow anyone, not even official medical staff, to touch it without her permission.

Lisssp While Nagana hates the Naga stereotype that they roll the S in words, she can still be caught doing it on occasion in moments of stress. Bringing it up is a great way to eat a punch.
