As expected, the twist managed to get Valley some relief, with an extra emphasis on ‘some’. Ava’s armbar was one of the better applied ones she'd ever been, there was no ignoring that. She'd taken the move a handful of times in Slamazons, and they always seemed to forget to use their whole body with it, not getting the full power. Not so with Ava - if this went on too much longer, it would became a serious problem.

Valley gritted her teeth, bore the pain, and weighed her options. She could make for the ropes, probably her best solution, but the effort might leave her open. Maybe she could stack her all the way, take all the bite out of it…

Valley was just about to try that when Ava wisely abandoned the move, bringing her legs around for what she rightly assumed would be a body scissor. The Slamazon managed to twist her body around as the transition happened, turning to face Ava instead of taking the move while she laid on her back, but that was the only thing she could accomplish before the ankles crossed and the prison doors closed shut.

This time she wasn’t able to hold back the groan of pain, as strong legs sliced into her ribs. Not the worst bodyscissor she’d taken, but only because Ava was up against stiff competition - women like Alicia Welles and Emily Nelson were hard to top. They were strong enough to hurt, that was the important thing, and the referee seemed worried enough to kneel nearby, examining the hold. [b]”Valley, do you give?”[/color]

”No.” A terse answer and a headshake, that was all she was willing to devote to her response. She needed the rest of her energy for what would come next.

While she could’ve tried for the ropes, she had an idea - a risky one, one that could blow up in her face, but that was what wrestling was all about. Valley made her way up to her knees, still facing Ava as she squeezed on. For a second, it looked like she might try to pin Ava, a pointless move, but instead she jerked to the right, then suddenly veered to the right, flipping them both over to face the mat. It wouldn’t get Ava’s legs off of her, but it would allowed Valley to plant her knees on the canvas and start to lift her upper body, bending the Canadian as she did and putting some pressure on that lower spine.

Almost like a Boston Crab - hopefully enough make Ava let go.

Ava felt a moment of worry as Valley managed to twist herself enough to face the Canadian. For a second, it looked like the champ might have been able to escape before she would be able to lock in the body scissors, causing the former mechanic to begin brainstorming alternatives should the American escape, her mind racing through all the possible moves she could use to restrain Valley.

Thankfully, these thoughts turned out to be unnecessary for the time being. Ava managed to lock her ankles together, squeezing Valley between her legs, and watched as the referee kneeled near the two, asking Valley if she wanted to give. The Canadian was a bit surprised by this, she thought her body scissor was a decent one, but she had a feeling that it was going to take a lot more than this to make the American tap out. Then again this was a submission match, she guessed that the referee was just doing their job.

Ava was snapped out of her thoughts of what being a referee entailed as she found her legs being lifted up as Valley made her way up to her knees. It looked as though the champ was going to go for a pinfall for a moment, causing Ava to shoot Valley a friendly, if confused, smile. The Canadian's expression changed to a more understanding one as the American bent her and began putting pressure on her lower spine.

Ava gritted her teeth, Valley had managed to turn her move around and make it seem like it was nothing, at least from her perspective. In this position she knew immediately that she wouldn't be able to keep up the scissors without essentially keeping herself in a submission hold and so, after giving one last squeeze, unlocked her ankles and gave up the scissors.

It was an awkward counter, Valley could admit, and she also recognized that she would’ve been in dire straights if she hadn’t managed to twist about at the last second. Otherwise, the ropes would’ve been the only options, and Ava would gain a solid lead on her. Or a better one, anyway.

She wasn’t sure if her idea to twist things around would work - it wasn’t something she’d done before or even seen done, but it seemed like a good idea in theory. Those kind of things had a way of blowing up in your face in wrestling, but Valley was glad to see this wasn’t one of those cases. This time, it worked.

Valley sighed with a deep breath of relief as the legs eased up and the pressure was released, ending the battering on her ribs. She’d be feeling that for the rest of the match, but she couldn’t think on that for now. She had an opening, and she needed to capitalize on it.

Valley let one of the legs fall away, but grabbed the other one and wrapped it up with her arms. One of them was still hurting from the armbar, so she had to make up for it with the other, but that would have to do.

She placed one of her feet on the floor then other, and rose to a squat as she tried to tuck Ava’s ankle underneath her shoulder. From there, all she’d have to do was lean back and keep the pressure on foe’s spine, as she cranked the single-leg variation of the Boston Crab.

Ava had just started to feel better when she felt an arm wrap around her leg. "Oh no," she muttered under her breath as she felt Valley's shoulder lock around her ankle, then a building, burning pain in her spine as the champ pulled her into a single-leg Boston Crab.

The Canadian gritted her teeth as she could feel the pressure on her spine, squirming uncomfortably as she tried to find a position that would ease up the pain on her back. The referee took notice of this and slid over, leaning down to Ava, watching intently to see if she was going to give.

Before they could ask a thing, Ava waved them off with a hand. She didn't have time to deal with that business, she was busy trying to think of a way to get out of this mess.

The Canadian would try to squirm her way backwards and see if she could work her way through Valley's legs enough to get her enough flexibility to get her leg in a position where she could strike at the American. Her hope was to either put herself in a position that Valley would see that she was a danger and back off, or actually get into a position where she could either try and hit the champ with something, or maybe, possibly, manage a reversal. This was all assuming that Valley wouldn't catch on and just trap Ava between her legs though.

Valley was actually a little surprised that Ava didn’t scream or anything, as she locked in the best variation of the famed hold. She could remember her own experiences with the hold during her earlier Slamazon days, in particular a feud with Roxy Rose, a wrestler who loved used the single-leg for her finisher. She been caught in it numerous time, and each time seemed to make a new, louder scream come from her body.

Not Ava, though. She was fighting, hard, bearing through it as best as she could. What was more, the size difference was starting to come into play. Valley could’ve held the move on a wrestler her own size with ease, but coming from someone like this, those squirmings had more effect than normal. Ava was working her way free, and while she was dealing out good damage, she was losing her position by the second.

Ava was going to get free, so why not beat her to the punch?

Valley brought her leg up and step to the side, giving up on the Boston Crab and simply holding onto Ava’s leg. She gave it hard tug to flip the Canadian on her back, then jumped forward a second later, bringing her legs in as she flew. If she timed it right and Ava didn’t move, she’d come down on the pinkette’s chest with a knee drop. Just a quick way to pile on some damage.

Ava hadn't realized that she'd been holding her breath in Valley's hold, but the moment it came loose she suddenly felt the need to take in a gasp of air. She wasn't sure why the blonde had let off the attack, or what to do now, she was just glad to be out of the confines of the champ's Boston Crab.

The Canadian's mind had been so focused on getting out of the pin that she hadn't even given thought to why Valley might willingly let her leave it. She realized her mistake in that a moment later as she was flipped over onto her back and saw the American descending towards her. The former mechanic would try to get out of the way, but somewhere, deep down, she knew that her reflexes just weren't fast enough.

Ava screamed in pain as the wind was knocked out of her.

She'd held it in so far, she'd gritted her teeth and took it through the match, but the knee drop so soon after the Boston Crab was just too much for the Canadian. She rocked from the impact, her mind racing as she tried to get a gauge for what Valley had planned next.

Valley rolled off Ava after the knee drop landed and popped back to her feet a moment later, not even bothering to look behind her. The scream of pain was enough confirmation by itself that the move had landed well. She’d lost control there for a while, but she had the reigns again.

Contrary to her usual style, Valley didn’t move in for the kill right away, instead choosing to stalk about as her foe writhed. She wanted to work on that spine a bit more, but didn’t want to go for a submission right away. Mat wrestling was not her thing, truth be told, and it ran the risk of Ava wrapping her up in something she wouldn’t be able to escape from.

Best to play it safe. Best to stick to her strengths for as long as possible.

When the moment passed, she moved in and reached down to grab Ava’s head and roughly yanked her up into a sitting position, exposing her back. She let go, but only a second before she took a quick step back and went on the attack.

”Double!” She threw a fierce soccer-kick, targeting the middle of Ava’s back.

”Tap!” And another would follow right after.

By the time she had recovered from Valley's strike Ava didn't have to check to see what Valley had planned. It was fairly obvious by the fact that the champ was pulling her up by her head into a sitting position. The only thing Ava wasn't sure about was if the blonde had a submission hold planned, or another strike.

Ava figured it was going to be another strike the second Valley took a step back. Unfortunately for her, she found herself unable to respond in time before the kick connected, only prepare herself for the strike.

The Canadian only coughed this time, as her breath and spit flew out of her. Ava barely noticed that Valley's shouts indicated another strike before the second kick sent her tumbling forwards, the pinkette landing on her stomach and rocking from the impact.

Ava laid on the mat for a moment, before slowly pushing herself back up and crawling towards the ropes to hopefully use them to pull herself back to her feet.

Hopefully before Valley managed to get anything else in.

The crowd winced along with both strikes, and rightfully so - Valley had done that little combo quite a few times, almost an unofficial signature move at this point, but she couldn’t think of a time where she’d hit it better than with Ava. Flush impact. Full power. Dead on.

The results spoke for themselves, as her opponent went to the ropes, looking to get back to her feet with their support. In fact, she was getting into a very convenient little position, one that the Slamazon was always happen to see. So close to the ropes…

Valley licked her lips, hopped straight up, then dashed in the opposite direction, running away from Ava. She hit the ropes and bounced off to gain some steam, then came barreling towards her with all the speed she could muster.

She ran towards Ava’s side, then leaped up at the last moment and turned her body to the side, letting her slip through the top and middle rope. For a second, it looked as if she might slide out of the ring, but at the last second she grabbed the ropes and swung around, with her legs flying about in arc. An arc that would, ideally, end with Ava’s face.

Entropy Championship Title Match: Valley Doll (C) vs. Ava Landry - The Brass Ring [FWC] - Page 3 Empty Re: Entropy Championship Title Match: Valley Doll (C) vs. Ava Landry - The Brass Ring [FWC]

Ava's back was burning with pain as she crawled her way to the ropes. The kicks, the stretching, it was all starting to catch up to the former mechanic and she was sure she'd be feeling it for days to come. It wasn't really like her arms were feeling any better either. She was going to need so many hot showers to even start feeling better, or saunas, or just something warm on her back for a while.

But there wasn't time to think about that now, at the moment the Canadian had more than enough to keep her busy. The sound of Valley running in the opposite direction alone was enough to fill Ava with dread, and it was certainly more than enough to motivate the Canadian to get back to her feet as fast as possible as she expected Valley to be charging at her with a clothesline, or spear, or maybe another kick.

Well, the Rookie was right on her last guess, but not in any way that she had thought.

Ava prepared herself for the American's strike, only to watch as Valley flew past her and through the ropes. The Canadian turned as she watched the champ in what seemed like slow motion, following her opponent as she grabbed hold of the ropes and her legs flew about in an arc that would likely end with her face.

The former mechanic wasn't planning on letting herself get thrown around again, not without more of a fight this time at least. Ava's instincts kicked in as she watched the oncoming attack, bringing her arms up and widening her stance. She would try to catch Valley's legs in her waiting arms. If she were successful at this, she would walk backwards, trying to pull the American out, then throw Valley to the canvas.
