Strategy: Well, essentially, Buzzy wants to ground his opponents with stiff strikes and stretch them all over the mat before finishing with some aerial flair. A little showboating near the end, but mostly using the right tool for the job. He’s also very unflappable. It’s like chess. Move for move.

Style: Junior heavyweight/Lucharesu. A combination of technical wrestling, stiff strikes and aerial assassin-ry.

Appearance:

Buzzy is short, compact, fit, smiley, friendly, adorable and badass. He’s 5’8, 170-something pounds of one of the finest astronauts ever produced from Florida since Norman Thargard. He’s usually walking around in his flight suit and carries his helmet lovingly under his arm but can occasionally be seen in short sleeved dress shirt/vest combinations with a pair of dress slacks or his Air Force Blues. When he actually wrestles it's in his suit or a pair of blue and white MMA shorts, barefoot with only his dogtags around his neck.

Personality:

Buzzy is stoic and badass yet also dorky, friendly and adorable. Imagine Billy Batson, Wash from Firefly, Audie Murphy and Captain Kirk had a lovechild. He is excruciatingly polite and reacts to topics/people of interest with a childlike enthusiasm. He doesn't smoke or curse, watches his language around women, is unflappably respectful and a natural born leader and idealist. Completely optimistic, Buzzy doesn't let losses discourage him too bad and is willing to see the good in anyone. He's just a little too full of himself and is prone to 1950's patriotic American space jargon and ‘Zapp Brannagan’-like monologues but he means well. Many find it just makes him a little more adorable.

However, if he gives you his goodwill and you abuse it, he shows you what it's like to have astronaut kicking your ass. He calls it the "cold equation." If you make him fight to beat your ass, he will beat your ass. He has nerves of steel and doesn't rattle easily at all. If you test him, don't be surprised if you fail.

Past/History:

Growing up an adorable young kid tyke in Cape Canaveral, Florida...Scott "Buzzy" Armstrong wanted nothing more than to be an astronaut his entire life. He excelled at school from the very start, a very gifted and intelligent lad who enjoyed science and biology and mechanics. By the time he was 14 years old Buzzy was making straight A's, was the president of the science club, and was a standout on the wrestling and gymnastics teams. The decorated student athlete had his pick of any school in the country, and knowing that his hero, Buzz Aldrin, was an Air Force man, decided on the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs Colorado.

After graduating with honors with a degree in engineering and competing for their wrestling team (placing nationally) Buzzy had applied to NASA to be an astronaut, and to follow in the footsteps of Alan Sheppard, his hero Buzz Aldrin, and Chuck Yeagar. After much suspense, Buzzy was accepted to NASA's astronaut training program. He excelled.

Buzzy was fortunate enough to accomplish his lifelong dream in 2011, taking part in a manned space shuttle flight as part of an elite 7 man crew. After undertaking the successful flight, the two way ticket to the stars and beyond, he became well respected as one of the most photogenic and charismatic astronauts NASA had ever produced, becoming a regular voice on syndicated news and go to interview man for NPR and Discovery Channel. Buzzy was living the dream.

Sadly, it was not going to last. In 2017, the United States decommissioned all space shuttle flights. A devastated Buzzy found himself out of work. He worked doing consulting work and reenlisted in the Air Force only to be sent out to represent his NASA Space Flight team in the AFW. Seeing as the AFW was getting all kinds of media attention, he quickly agreed.

Now he’s here, and ready to show AFW that he’s all systems go.

Fun Facts:

• Buzzy had a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering and achieved the rank of Lieutenant in the United States Air Force.
  
• Buzzy is prone to using 1950's slang. He grew up watching the space race and loved the way his heroes talked. It's not uncommon to hear him use antiquated language. He also almost NEVER curses. When he does, it's not much outside "hell" or "damn."
  
• Buzzy will occasionally wax philosophical to his helmet. It is unclear if he's just talking to himself or if it is a legitimate mental quirk.
  
• Buzzy's favorite drink is Tang, and will often be seen drinking it backstage.
