It crossed Samiya’s mind that, just to really bash her point home, she ought to keep Blossom here and put a few more knees into her belly. It would further soften her up and knock it into that skull that she’d lost this match about as conclusively as it was possible to have lost. Or to simply hold her there to demonstrate her own dominance. But, while that would be productive in her goals for Blossom, it’d be counterproductive in another regard.

The crowd knew this match was building towards its end. They didn’t want her to delay that for a few more dull knees. And, while Samiya was perfectly content for the crowd to hate her, she couldn’t have them not caring. That wouldn’t suit her purposes one bit. So she needed to keep the momentum going, not get bogged down in minor details.

She had this. She just needed to wrap it up and follow through on her promise.

With that in mind, the Schoolgirl Assassin released the armbar, confident that she’d sufficiently weakened Blossom’s upper body to the point she didn’t need to worry about a meaningful counter. Immediately, she went to catch her opponent in a front facelock.

Samiya’s intent was pretty straightforward. Secure the front facelock, spin into the ¾ facelock and then drop Blossom to the mat with the cutter. From there, it would be simplicity itself to get the petite powerhouse in her Storm Surge and it’d be game over.

Blossom had been waiting and waiting and waiting for her chance. Samiya seemed to approach wrestling like a math exam - very logical, very careful sort of approach, leaving little room for error. But Samiya was still human, ostensibly, which meant that she had flaws. Imperfections. Mistakes. All Blossom had to do was wait and be ready.

When Samiya let her arms go and went for the front facelock, Blossom saw her chance.

The torturess was probably banking on Blossom’s arms and legs being too tired for anything, and this was a very safe assumption. They hurt. They felt like fire was running through her blood vessels, but that hardly meant that they were inoperable. It would just suck to use them. A lot.

Thing was, though, that Blossom had kind of reached a special place where hurting herself was acceptable, so long as it meant hurting Samiya just as much or more.

With her head under Samiya’s shoulders, Blossom wrapped her arms around the tattooed terror’s waists, let out a mighty yell and lifted her up and over with a Northern Light’s suplex, bridging out to slam her opponent right down on her back.

In retrospect, Samiya recognised her mistake. Really, it was a pretty obvious one – she ought to have gone for a slam that let her use the double armbar for leverage rather than trading it in for a new lock. But it was easy to be wise after the event when all she was doing was watching a replay; far harder to be wise at the time, when the adrenaline was pumping through her veins and the noise of the crowd was loud in her ears. At the time, there didn’t seem to be any risk and plenty of reward in trying for the cutter.

And, in fact, she got the facelock cinched in as perfectly as ever. It was when she felt Blossom’s arms lasso around her waist, still crushingly strong despite the hell she’d put them through, that she realised her mistake for a heartbeat that felt like an eternity.

The crowd exploded as the petite powerhouse somehow – despite everything – managed to pop the Schoolgirl Assassin up and over into a Northern Lights suplex that slammed Samiya’s back hard against the canvas. Caught firmly off-guard, she hadn’t even begun to block it and was left wheezing on the canvas, trying to work out where she’d gone wrong.

For the first time since they’d started this match, more or less, the initiative was firmly in Blossom’s hands and the crowd was behind her all the way. The big question was what would she do with the opportunity she’d made for herself.

There were no words to describe the sheer jubilation that Blossom was feeling after finally, finally planting Samiya with a suplex. And not just any suplex, either, like the belly-to-belly or the German Suplex that everyone and their sister liked to do. Blossom got to bust out one of her top 3 suplexes.

The crowd was roaring, the lights were shining, and for a brief moment, Blossom started to feel like a winner. Then the pain began to sink in, and that sensation started to quickly fade.

She’d been bridging with the Northern Lights suplex, arching her back and pinning Samiya to the floor, but her legs faltered quickly and she nearly fell flat. Blossom righted herself fast enough, but it was a clear sign that she was running on fumes. This match needed to be over. Pronto. Before what little luck she had drove up.

”Come on…” With Samiya still held down, Blossom kicked her legs over into the floatover, flipping over and landed with her feet in a position to lift her opponent up and do the same move over again...if she was strong enough for it.

Blossom, tried, she really tried to pick Samiya back up for another suplex, but her body was slow and sluggish and saturated with pain. Determined to the point of madness, she kept on going, griding her teeth down as she put all she had into the valiant effort.

Samiya hadn’t really noticed the bridge at first, certainly not enough to actively combat it. By the time, a heartbeat later, she’d realised that Blossom might be trying for a pin, the bridge had already collapsed. So that was good.

She was not losing this match to a last minute Hail Mary pin by a beaten woman. She was not. Fortunately, the ref hadn’t even got in position in time.

Instead, Blossom kept her down and flipped over, going to float into another Northern Lights suplex. Or at least she tried. And she tried. But, despite her best efforts, it clearly wasn’t going to work. Those impressive arms of hers, strong as they might be, had clearly reached their limits.

It started softly, but after a moment Samiya’s soft chuckle rose to a full-fledged (if short lived) howl of gleeful, even maniacal, laughter.

”So much for the great counter attack,” She managed through her mirth, right before the submission specialist went to spike Blossom’s head into the canvas with a simple snap DDT. It was an unusual angle and a considerably simpler move than she’d initially been planning but it would get her opponent on her back and it didn’t require any change of their positions – having been bitten that way once, Samiya was understandably unwilling to risk it again.

Actually, her first instinct had been to go for the roll-up but she’d have been seriously mad if Blossom then didn’t kick out. She’d got a promise to keep, after all.

Blossom could do this. She knew she could.

Granted, she’d never done this move outside of practice before, and it had been a little while at that, but she knew she was perfectly capable of executing the move. If she’d tried this five minutes ago, maybe even before Samiya’s last move, she could’ve pulled it off.

But her arms were worn, the rest of her body wasn’t doing any better, and her stamina, deep as it was, had been drained. It just was not happening.

Instead, Blossom’s head was harshly and swiftly slammed against the mat, filling her brain with white-hot pain. Her body flipped back over, much less gracefully than it had done before, and came down in a moaning heap on the floor.

All she could do was lay there, still, while she tried to cope with the dizziness wreaking havoc on her senses.

The DDT, off the cuff or not, duly put the crown of Blossom’s skull into the mat with sufficient force to knock the fight out of her temporarily at least. A minute or so ago, Samiya would have been sure that it was a permanent thing. Now, after the attempted comeback, she was a little more cautious. But it didn’t really matter – as long as she was out of it for the short while that the purple-haired grappler needed to secure her next hold.

The first thing was to unravel the heap of groaning brunette until she was on her back. That was simple enough, just a case of tugging here and kicking there until she had the petite powerhouse arranged to her liking – making sure she was too far from the ropes for them to offer her any sanctuary. This was going to be the end. No more escapes, no more excuses.

A good dominating first win to show all the idiots in the audience that she meant business, and that she meant what she said.

With that in mind, Samiya spun around to face Blossom’s feet before dropping down to mount her neck. Arching back, she reached down with one hand to grasp the short mop of hair so that she could lift the brunette’s head up just enough to slide a calf underneath.

”Thanks for the warmup, loser,” She drawled, glancing back over her shoulder, right before trying to settle back down and hook her ankle behind her other knee. Unless Blossom had something left in the tank, she was about to be the first in Friction to taste Samiya’s finisher – the Storm Surge inverted triangle choke – with her arm and neck trapped in the vice of the Assassin’s thighs and her face trapped under Samiya’s backside.

It was a recipe for a rapid KO and an equally rapid defeat.

Blossom Fields vs Samiya Kusanagi - Light vs Dark - Page 4 Empty Re: Blossom Fields vs Samiya Kusanagi - Light vs Dark

Blossom had taken a long, extended trip to La La Land, but she wasn't so out of it that she couldn't register certain things going on around her. She was aware of being maneuvered about, and she realized that was certainly not a good thing with Samiya. Especially now that she'd actually managed to pose a legitimate threat for a second.

The tattooed terror didn't seem like the type to play around. She was going to end this.

When Samiya sat on her neck, plopping down with her cushy backside, Blossom thought she was going to go for a facesit and try to smother her out. That was certainly the vibe she got earlier, and it would be a very AFWish way to end a match.

Five seconds later and Blossom found herself wishing she was getting a facesit.

Blossom let out a weak, wheezing squeak as the reverse triangle was locked in and the crushing pressure made breathing a forlorn hope. All too quickly, Blossom felt the world growing dark and quiet around her. There was barely anytime to breath, to struggle, to do anything before the life left her body and she went limp.

The last thing she saw was Samiya’s butt. Figured.

Samiya arched her back as she drew the Storm Surge tight around Blossom’s neck and shoulder, planting one palm flat on the mat behind her. She could have reached down, reefed back on her foot to tighten the noose still further, but she really didn’t need to bother. And she knew it. Between the hold driving the petite powerhouse’s shoulder and arm into her own neck, cutting off the blood to her brain, and her being smothered under Samiya’s weight, Blossom was done.

There wasn’t even any struggling, not really. Just a brief pause before all the tension fled Blossom’s body and the brunette went limp.

”Like I said,” the dark beauty purred, knowing that the other woman wouldn’t have been able to hear her even if she had been still conscious, ”You will kiss mine.”

She held her perch just long enough for the referee to do her duty, only dismounting Blossom’s battered neck and shoulder as her music blared through the arena once more. Unsurprisingly, there were a lot of boos headed her way as she posed with one foot planted firmly on the other girl’s chest, flexing her arms as she gestured to herself. But there were a fair number of cheers mixed in, presumably from the more sadistic portions of the fanbase or the ones who appreciated her display of submission skill.

Either way, Samiya basked in the sound for a long, long moment.

She’d won. And while Blossom Fields might not be the most dangerous opponent on the roster, Samiya knew she’d all but annihilated the powerhouse. There were very definitely worse ways to kick off a career here in Friction.

After a moment, she asked the nearest tech nicely if she’d toss a mic into the ring. Once equipped for sound, the Schoolgirl Assassin made the ubiquitous ‘cut the music’ gesture and raised it to her lips.

”Turns out Blossom here ought to have stuck to training.”

Her tart observation was booed, but the purple-haired wrestler just shrugged and continued.

”Keeping score isn’t important. But-“ she ground her heel into Blossom’s sternum, ”-One down. One woman who wasn’t worthy of you or your time. And there’s a roster more to go. Ladies and gentlemen…”

She dipped into an ironic bow.

”Thank you and goodnight.”
