And they ended up right back where they started, with Samiya in charge and Blossom locked helplessly in a submission hold. That had to be frustrating by itself, the denial of any chance to pull any meaningful offence and it was a big part of her gameplan whenever possible. Ideally, keep attacking. If that wasn’t possible, counter as soon as possible.

No-one liked reacting and it was an excellent way to get an opponent angry, which led to them making mistakes. Blossom hadn’t made any mistakes yet but she was definitely starting to get angry.

The continued pounding though wasn’t going to be doing her thighs any good. She didn’t need anything cramping. And she’d got as much use out of this hold as she could; time to switch to something a bit more damaging. More to the point, it was time to get back to working those arms. She’d done a good job to start with but she didn’t want to let all that work go to waste.

Relaxing the headscissors, it was Samiya’s turn to try and roll them over, so that Blossom would be face-down while the Schoolgirl Assassin would spin around to sit centre of her back. If she could get the positioning right, she’d slam Blossom’s head into the mat, looking to daze her opponent long enough to catch both her arms in a double chickenwing.

Samiya was looking to set up a Cattle Mutilation hold – if she got the chickenwing, she’d then flip forward to finish applying the submission. Given Blossom’s arms hadn’t had that long to recover, something told her this move wouldn’t be one the petite powerhouse enjoyed at all.

Blossom Fields vs Samiya Kusanagi - Light vs Dark - Page 3 Empty Re: Blossom Fields vs Samiya Kusanagi - Light vs Dark

Blossom laid there, stuck in the Cattle Mutilation. Part of her - a small, irritating part - was impressed that Samiya even knew this hold. She knew about it herself, sure, but she was a more technical wrestler than most in Friction. The average AFW wrestler wasn’t even able to physically pull this off, much less employ it in an actual match.

More than anything, though, she was wondering just how she’d gotten into it in the first place.

She’d been happy when Samiya eased up on the headscissors - she would’ve been happier if she’d done it earlier or if she managed to escape them under her own power, but beggar’s didn’t get to the choose. She happily accepted it, and thought she might get a chance to turn things around. It had looked like Samiya was going to go for a camel clutch, a move Blossom could get out of easy enough. Everybody did it.

She'd been wrong. Instead, she took a faceful of the canvas. That left her dizzy, and by the time her head cleared, she was trapped in, well…this. The move earned Samiya some light applause from some of the more scientific among them, which did nothing to lighten Blossom’s mood about the whole thing.

”Grah!” She lifted up her lower body and tried push forward, which did a little to ease the pressure, but not enough. Not nearly. It was a painful hold, erasing the healing her arms had done in the past minute or so, and worst of all, it had her totally immobilized. She kicked and kicked and kicked and kicked, and all she did was make herself tired. ”Get off! Come on!”

The only saving grace was that Samiya had to get tired of the backbridge soon, so it couldn’t go on much longer.

Blossom hoped.

Blossom might have been disappointed to know that, given her background, Samiya could hold a bridge for quite a while. That didn’t mean it was prudent for her to do so, even the other wrestler was expending far more of her reserves in useless attempts to get out. She wasn’t going to get a tap like this and, at some point, it was going to get harder for her to stay in the bridge.

Or Blossom might think of a way out. It was best to stay one step ahead, keep the appearance of control and break the hold herself.

Except for one minor point.

There wasn’t, so far as she knew, an elegant way to disengage from this hold. Nor was she keen to give Blossom her back even for a second. On the other hand, staying in this bridge forever wasn’t a good option either.

So, thinking on her feet, Samiya braced with her feet, going to use the chickenwing grip to yank Blossom’s upper body up so she could slam the petite powerhouse’s face into the mat again with a grunt of effort. That ought to give her the time she needed to get free.

Not that she intended to let Blossom get back up. As soon as the Schoolgirl Assassin was free, she spun on her heel and shot back in, this time looking for a pin.

Not that she thought she’d get it but it was yet more energy, yet more effort and strength Blossom had to use at almost no cost to her.

Blossom Fields vs Samiya Kusanagi - Light vs Dark - Page 3 Empty Re: Blossom Fields vs Samiya Kusanagi - Light vs Dark

Post by acuyra Wed Sep 14, 2016 9:20 am

Now that Blossom had been in the Cattle Mutilation for a while - much longer than she wished to be - she managed to get her gutteral grunts under control and spit out some actual intelligible language. Even if it wasn’t particularly inspiring. ”When I get out of this, I’ll…”

Blossom’s voice trailed off, mostly because she had no idea what to fill that blank with. What would she do to Samiya if she got free? Suplexes, yeah, but that required the use of her legs and arms, neither of which were in the best shape. She wasn’t the worst striker - and it would be nice not to worry about the reach disadvantage for once - but knowing Samiya, she was probably as crazy-good with that as she was with everything else. The woman didn’t seem to like leaving many holes in her offense.

She’d just gotten through pondering this, when the subject was rendered pretty moot. Having your face slammed into the canvas tended to cancel plans.

Blossom was knocked out of it for a second, her mind breaking into a blank, foggy. It didn’t last too long, and when she came back to reality, she was greeted by the sharp slap of a hand near her head the referee calling. ”2…!”

Almost on pure reflex, Blossom shot her arms up immediately and broke out of the pin, saving herself...well, for the moment. She’d enjoy it while it lasted.

”One!”

The Schoolgirl Assassin was counting along with the referee as the pin continued. More as a display of dominance and to rub it into Blossom a bit more than because she really felt the need. The psychological effects were worth the slight use of breath.

”Two!”

And there was the kick out, her opponent popping her shoulders up off the canvas but doing little more.

Unusual. Unexpected. And not in the way most wrestlers were surprised when their opponents kicked out of pins.

Bump to the head or not, Samiya had expected Blossom to kick out before the two count and she’d expected her opponent to kick out with more authority. One out of two was a less accurate prediction than she’d have liked. Admittedly, the referee had been in perfect position to count and had shown near-surprising efficiency in starting that count, but still…

Clearly she’d been wearing Blossom’s arms down faster than she’d expected, not to mention her stamina. She knew she hadn’t been overestimating the other wrestler’s strength.

Looking to continue that and take advantage of the petite powerhouse’s failure to buck her off with that kick out.

Almost before Blossom had finished with the kick out, Samiya used her grip on her opponent’s leg to try and cross it over the other before placing one of her own in front of Blossom’s ankle to secure it. Working quickly to corral her opponent’s upper limbs, she yanked the powerhouse up and went to lock in the double armbar to complete her attempt at the Figure Four Double Foldover Armbar.

With most opponents, the tattooed beauty would have used the straight armbar version. It simplified matters and she felt comfortable in her ability to take any shots they threw at her with the free arm. With Blossom, she wanted both arms under control and she wanted to keep breaking those strong limbs down.

”What…” Blossom blinked and sniffed as the sense rapidly returned to her, managing to get some of her bearings back. Her face hurt, with her nose smarting the most of all. Not broken, she didn’t smell any blood, but definitely cracked up around the bridge. Might need a little looking at.

She had little time to contemplate things like possible nasal surgery, however.  Samiya wasn’t done.

Panic set in once more, as the Submission Specialist went about earning that title. Blossom thought she was going for a figure-four or something, and started to sit up, trying to reach over and break it. Big mistake. Not that Samiya needed any help setting up her moves, but she only made it easier for her. Like a fly wriggling in the web, getting itself lost in the threads as a result. Just making it worse and worse the more she struggled.

This time, both of her withered arms were the target, and Samiya’s unique armbar accomplished its goal perfectly. Blossom clamped her teeth shut like a steel trap, holding back what screams she could, but there was no stopping the occasional yelp and squeal from getting out.

She wriggled left. She wriggled right.  She shook her head. She shook her hips. She did everything she could think to do, but there was simply no getting out of it. Still…

”I’m not…” Blossom bit her lip, tried to muster up as much defiance as she could, but the words lacked the conviction she wished they had. ”I’m not giving up…”

Blossom Fields vs Samiya Kusanagi - Light vs Dark - Page 3 Empty Re: Blossom Fields vs Samiya Kusanagi - Light vs Dark

The Figure Four Foldover Armbar was not the simplest of holds to execute, single or double. Samiya prided herself on her ability to pull it off but even she could readily mess it up if she wasn’t careful. And locking it on an uncooperative opponent was an exercise in stupidity. If the other wrestler fought back, she knew she had to abandon the attempt or risk getting caught in a hold herself. So, trying it here was a calculated risk, banking on the petite powerhouse still being stunned and not knowing what she was about to be hit with.

That said, Samiya was certainly not about to complain when Blossom sat up and made the whole process considerably easier. Probably, the other wrestler hadn’t recognised the hold and thought she was dealing with something else. It was one of the advantages of going for the less well known holds. Either way, it was a big mistake and one that was going to cost Blossom dearly.

Actually, it could have cost her the match. Samiya wasn’t aware of any way out of this particular hold once she had it locked in, and that wasn’t pride talking. She had both Blossom’s arms tied up, she had one of her legs pinned up in a painful way and the other wrestler had quite simply nowhere to go.

And all Blossom’s struggles weren’t doing a thing to solve her problems. Samiya pushed her foot forward, looking to push the trapped leg up tighter and wrenched back on the armbar.

”You’re not going anywhere either,” The Schoolgirl Assassin pointed out mercilessly, ”Not unless I say so.”

She yanked on Blossom’s arms again like she wanted to tear them off.

”So, let’s try this again. Feel like tapping yet?”

There Blossom laid, trapped in Samiya’s web, getting more and more tangled by the second. A bad situation to start, and only growing worse with each passing second. The pain was bad, but that wasn’t the worst of it - what really ground her gears was the utter hopelessness. She felt like Samiya’s toy, a test dummy that she could manipulate at will. She’d had bad matches before, plenty of them, but none of them were so thoroughly dominating.

And then Samiya just had to go and make it even worse.

Blossom let out a sharp, shrill cry as the armbar was wrenched, getting to the point where permanent damage was a real possibility. She’d been here before. She knew what her body could and couldn’t take, when it was reaching the breaking point. A large part of her wanted to give up. Needed to give up.

But there was the small part of her that hoped certain people would be watching this. Death Bunny. Her parents. Taylor.

For now, that was enough of a reason to soldier on. How long that would last, she couldn’t say.

”You can…” Blossom interrupted herself with a growl, as she tried another round of furious, useless thrashing. ”You can kiss my butt.”

She muttered the words more than she outright spoke them, but out they came. The larger part of her immediately regretted saying that, but there it was.

As it turned out, Blossom still had some fight in her. That was promising, as far as her prospects for coming out the other side of what Samiya intended were concerned. Of course, it did mean that she’d have to go through the rest of what Samiya had in mind but it was a thoroughly imperfect world.

A thin smile tugged at her lips as the petite powerhouse spoke, the compact submission specialist leaning just far enough back and down so that she could whisper her reply in Blossom’s ear.

”Actually, you will kiss mine.”

She could end this right now. There was no way for Blossom to escape and, if it came to that, Samiya could break her arms. If winning was all that mattered, she could end the match without doing anything more.

But she had a greater point to make, not to mention now a promise to follow through on as well.

That complicated things somewhat. Before she went any further, it seemed prudent to make absolutely sure Blossom was… relatively sedate. Showing off to the fans certainly featured in her plans, but not at the expense of getting the move she had in mind right.

So, Samiya began by releasing the figure-four part of the hold, letting her opponent’s leg free so that she could start to get up. As she went, she did her best to pull Blossom up to standing with her using the armbar.

From there, she’d go to drive a knee into the other wrestler’s gut.

Blossom Fields vs Samiya Kusanagi - Light vs Dark - Page 3 Empty Re: Blossom Fields vs Samiya Kusanagi - Light vs Dark

Post by acuyra Wed Sep 28, 2016 7:48 am

It was funny how a little context could drastically change things. Any other time, Blossom would’ve been quite receptive to have a beautiful, exotic woman like this whispering in her ear. Heck, if this had happened just five or six minutes ago, Samiya would’ve gotten a vastly different response, and the idea of kissing her backside would’ve been well received.

Now, though, it sent a shiver down Blossom’s spine. She couldn’t be sure which way Samiya swung, but she was certain it didn’t matter much at the moment. Whatever her opponent was planning, it wouldn’t involve anything remotely pleasurable. Not for Blossom, anyway.

Luckily - and Blossom used that word very loosely - whatever Samiya was planning didn’t involve keeping her grounded. She was still in the armbar, but at least she was on the move. Options were opening up. Faint sparks of hope that she could turn this around, if she was just patient enough…

For now, though, there was still plenty of pain to deal with. The knee to her stomach hurt and Blossom cried out from the pain, though it was almost a relief. Taking a strike wasn’t fun,but at least it was a brief pain. She could endure it.

She just needed to get her arms free, then she could work something out. If only for a moment...
