The beginning of an end to an Era (Sarah and Seraphim)

By now, Seraphim's hand that was clutching the arm of the couch was actually tearing the fabric a little at how tight it was, and her knuckles turned white as she gritted her teeth. Sarah was stepping on eggshells right now with what she was saying, and it was taking a lot of restraint in Seraphim to keep herself calm. She knew if she didn't, something just might come over her, and she couldn't let that happen.

"Th-That has nothing to do with this! I-I lost it.. I nearly lost it, okay? I went into a flurry of rage and... fuck, I barely remember that, so lay off!" She needed to clam down, she could sense her adrenaline starting to pump for some reason, and the temperature in her body rising. Overall, Seraphim could sense it, and she knew what it had meant.

Fortunately for the both of thim, Seraphim told herself to just count backwards from ten; an old method her shrink used to tell her, and she released the couch and fell back into it, like the tensity in her came out from her exhale. Truthfully, it was all still there, she was just forcing this on herself, causing her to reach into her pants pocket and remove a soft pack from it. They were cigarettes, the box labeled 'Bold Trooper', which Seraphim promptly, almost desperately fished one out, then placing the brown cigarette between her lips, never lighting it, but taking a few bits at it's end.

"Exactly," Sarah said with a smirk. "It has nothing to do with this. Just like the Russian girl's sister has nothing to with why I brought you here. So here's an idea. Stop acting like the angel of fuckin' mercy, sit there, and listen." Sarah then walked way from Seraphim and into her kitchen. She opened her fridge, which was actually well-stocked. All her money from her matches wasn't going to waste apparently. Sarah took two cans of beers from it and went back to the living room.

When she returned she saw Seraphim had taken out a cigarette, and t caused her to smirk. From the subtle changes in body language Sarah was obviously starting to get to Seraphim. That could either make this easier, or harder. Seeing that Seraphim had her cigarette Sarah placed the beer intended for her on the coffee table, and plopped herself on the eclining chair facing Seraphim.

"An organization is basically a large gang," Sarah started off, popping open her drink. "And taking down gangs is easy. Within each one there one of them are key members, people who are in charge, or close to the people in charge." Sarah paused to take a long chug from her beer, sighed and wiped her lips. "We're gonna go after those people."

Sarah was right... Shanari had nothing to do with this, and neither did Seraphim's mental issues. But they were still a problem that needed to be addressed eventually, and would haunt her until it was something that they fixed. Though Sarah seemed very direct, and those problems would have to wait it would seem. She was really growing a strong detest for this girl...

She paused and took a long, slow breath when Sarah walked away briefly, patting her pockets down as she was half tempted to take out her medication, feeling like she just might have to if things got too out of hand, but fortunately the unlit cigarette and leaning back in the couch was helping her some. Then, she blinked as she saw a beer placed on the table, where she casually quirked an eyebrow. Seraphim's behavior right now was perfectly compared to that of a single girl in a bar, not wanting to be spoken to right now, like she had a lot of baggage on her mind right now, and for the most part that was true, even taking the beer and popped the tab, doing it slowly though as she was half paranoid that it might have been shaken from Sarah, and not wanting it to explode in her face.

Seraphim wasn't much of a drinker, she had become of age to drink when she had gotten out of prison, and she had put most of her money towards her recovery in life, and more importantly, the medicine and surgeries needed for her closest friend she still had from her early life, so beer wasn't something she tasted on her lips very often. And thus, Seraphim was a bit of a lightweight, but she knew one can wouldn't hurt, taking a slow sip of it before she leaned back again with her hand on the arm of the table as she held it.

"I'm not a child, I know the obvious... dipshit. But what makes you think 'we' are going after them. I don't see why you picked me from the bunch." Seraphim's tone was casual, like she was downtalking herself really. But in reality, it wasn't a hard choice, among a lot of the stronger wrestlers, Seraphim had been quickly growing to becoming one of the most reputable and powerful in such a short time. But since she didn't care much for her fans or the league itself, only doing this for her personal goals, Seraphim failed to realize any of this.

"Oh, you're modest," Sarah cooed in a mocking way. "That's cute." Sarah was starting to get the feeling that Seraphim would much rather beat the shit out of her than hear about her plans for the Era of Hell. "It's because you're going to be doing a bit of.....undecover work."

"You're still relatively new to the AFW, and you're somewhat of a heel," Sarah explained to Seraphim's question. "And what kind of wrestlers do the Era of Hell recruit?" Sarah smiled and took another sip of her drink, letting that question sink in. "They'll see you as a potential recruit, and they'll come forward to you with that in mind." Sarah smiled like a coiled serpant. "They won't suspect anything else going on."

"No." A swift, blunt reply came from Seraphim, as if she knew the answer before the question was even asked, saying it as if she had decided long ago. Her grip around the beer loosened, and her gaze shifted away, looking in an opposite direction of the room and drawing a long sigh, unable to see any reason to this. She could understand in a way, it made sense, but for Seraphim, it was too late now, she couldn't get in if she tried.

"They already have a hunt for me. And... I'd rather die than associate myself with them in any way. It's impossible." Then, once again being modest about herself, Seraphim decided to reveal a slight weakness she had in this aspect, finding that even though it was an interesting idea, she wasn't the best candidate. "..Besides I... I'm not a very good liar. They'd catch me in the act. I never did have a good 'poker face.'" It was clear by her tone as she looked away that this little fact embarressed her some, but she'd rather say it now, rather than making a mistake later. It just wasn't her sort of thing, Seraphim took things up strait, never through a web of lies.

""Why?" Sarah asked coyly. "Because you beat up one of their members?" She jerked her thumb back at Shanari's jacket on the wall. "So did I. And they still wanted me to join."

Not many people would think that Sarah was capable of planning. But she cunning, in a predatory sense. And it made her a very dangerous enemy. "But I'm not asking you to go on the inside. They'll come foward to you, I'm sure of that, whether it's to ask you to join or just to beat you, it doesn't matter. The point is, they'll be out in the open." Sarah finished off her beer and crushed it in her grip, and then threw it over her shoulder where it landed in a nearby trashcan. "Remember those seconds in command I told you about. Nha and Sha? You're gonna fight them."

As Seraphim listened, once again keeping herself patient and calm, she placed the cigarette in her mouth again, never taking a light and just biting the end more, calming her nerves. She had to admit, Sarah was smarter than she thought, not once could she ever see Sarah as the type to actually plan something, but her plan wasn't half bad. Still, they needed to set a few things strait.

"Okay, now hold on a minute. Let me set a few things strait." Seraphim said with a more forceful tone, not rising to anger, but sounding stern like she was taking charge as she leaned foward, hands on her lap but looking Sarah right in the eyes with her crimson orb. "First thing you need to know is that I don't like you. Fuck it, at this point, you could safely say I'd like to watch you choke on one of those nails." A sadistic little curve came from the corner of her lips as she said that, but only for a moment before she got back on track, keeping her serious outlook. "Second, no one is the boss of me. I only have allies, not coaches, leaders, or people who want to fuckin' tell me what to do, because I'm a leader to the beat of my own drum, not a mindless follower. And third, what makes you think I'd agree to this? Even if our goals are similiar, how many screws went loose in your mind before you thought I'd actually help you?"

Sarah actually smirked at Seraphim's little barb at her. The fact that Seraphim didn't like her was clear the moment they met in the alley. Fondness of each other was important for this mission. If Seraphim played her part right Sarah might start to like her a bit more, but right now, she was just someone who could help her accomplish her goals. "Boss?" Sarah asked coyly. "Who said anything about a boss? I'm just making a few subtle suggestions that you may or may not want to play out." Truth was Sarah was the same. She was a leader, not a follower. But Sarah was turning out to be better at it.

"You know this helps us both. As of right now we don't know a whole lot about the Era of Hell's leaders, or if there is even is one. That's why Sha and Nha are so valueable. They'll provide some juicy information once we beat it out of them. Maybe even take them out of the action for awhile." Sarah leaned forward now, locking her green eyes with Seraphim's one. "Once we're done you're free to do with that information as you like. I won't care. As far as I'm concerned, we both want the same thing. The only difference is I'm the only who seems to be doing anything. Here's your chance to strike a blow."

"You're starting to sound just like a Yakuza boss who tried hiring me." Seraphim said back in a quick rethort, not finding that she could take Sarah's words too seriously anymore. After all, if you were going to try making a negotiation or a meeting, you could at least have the decency to prepare, perhaps make a more subtle arrangement, this was just a joke. Not to mention this all seemed very suspicious to her, then again, Seraphim always was a little paranoid.

"And you know what I told him when he tried to hire me?" Seraphim waited a moment for Sarah to gather all of this, sitting up now in her chair and looking right at Sarah. Not once did she show a sign of fear or worry, in fact, she already felt like she had a way of cornering this girl in her own game of negotiations and what Seraphim assumed were lies, wanting to see how she would react first.

Then, raising her middle finger high like it was a powerful salute, she flipped it proudly with a grin in the corner of her lips right at Sarah, a cocky gesture coming to her tone. "I told him to go fuck himself. So what makes you any different?"

Sarah leaned back in her chair, listening to the whole display with narrowed eyes. "I'm flattered you regard me as a Mafia boss," Sarah replied teasingly. "That aside, I'm starting to realize something." And then her voice lost all signs of playfulness. "You're full of shit." Sarah didn't care that Seraphim didn't trust her or like her, but now she was just determined to piss Sarah off. Pride was something Sarah was full of, but there was a time and place for it.

"You say you want to stop the Era of Hell, but that's god damn lie. You don't care if they hurt your friends, family, or whatever else you claim. You're just an idiot with a big mouth who bit off more than she could chew." Sarah gestured to the door from where she sat. "If that's true, get the fuck out of my apartment. I got better things to do."

Sarah leaned forward to Seraphim, reached forward, and would snatch the cigarrete she had been chewing on. Then she placed it in her own mouth, fished into her pocket for a lighter, and lit it up. "But if you really want to strike out against them, make an actual difference, you'll listen to what I'm saying, and follow one simple little order." sarah took a long puff from the cigarette. "Think you can do that, Cyclops?"
