Bingo! And with that move Juniper went down, and Marina let out a sigh of relief. Whew, that would of really hurt if it hit me. She looked down at her opponent, canting her head. Normally she would had kicked Juniper while she was down, but... well, this was sparring, not a match. And honestly, using up anymore energy that wasn't to dodge or counter right now would screw Marina over in the end. Her stamina didn't replenish as fast as a Dark Souls character after all. So she back away to the other side of the ring and waited for Juniper to raise again, catching her breath.

As her sparring opponent backed away, Juniper made an attemptive swipe to grab her ankles and trip her up. But those hands grabbed air as Juniper missed and the other woman backed away. "Haha...Of course..." The redhead grumbles to herself. She pushed off of the floor and got onto one foot before the other.

"You're a speedy one aint ya? I'll be honest it aint ny strong suit." The redhead says with a small accompanying chuckle. A dark sounding one at that, if Mariko noted that.

That dark laugh had Marina frozen in place. It wasn't some cheery, playful laugh, that was the chuckling of an sinister boss character. Uh-oh, looks like I activated her Berserker Mode. A bead of sweat ran down Marina's face. Well shit, I think this just went from sparring to brawling. "Well, what can I say? My TKD instructor always said I was pretty fast with my legs." She scratched the back of her head, giving a forced grin to try and ease the situation. "So, you wanna' stop here or what? I could go for a quick water break."

Normally, Juniper wasn't the type to hold things back. But for the sake of the spar, she was going to. At least for now. And a break in action is what the opponent wanted. Juniper shakes her head. "Alright, alright...Go on and get some water and come back for some more...Uh, sparring." This break actually allowed for the redhead to calm down.
